Typically, pc bans are due to software detected by Destiny 2 while running. These include but not limited to, trainers, aimbots, auto-fire, mods, graphics hacks, anything that injects code into games, debuggers for programing, even some viruses. any of these could cause a ban, [b]even if not destiny 2 specific[/b]
[b]Restrictions are temporary, and will not be overturned or undone before they expire. Once an account is banned however, that ban is permanent. Account restrictions and bans are only done in extreme cases; if actions were taken against your account, then it was with reason. [/b]
[b]There are NO options to dispute or overturn account restrictions or bans.[/b]

I would understand if I used any of these but I'm probably one of the fairest people in the game I've played this game since beta of D1 on console and they've done me dirty

Bungie's anticheat detected something either in your gameplay or on your rig that it felt it violated the game's policies, it then flagged your account for review, Bungie SRT Staff members then reviewed your account, validated the reason for the flag, confirmed it violated policy, then manually placed the ban.

but what though, i know i was playing on an unlicenced windows for a little bit due to issues with windows itself not activating but surely that wouldn't have caused the issue, like i've never had any kind of ban ever from bungie so this is a major shock!

I would recommend taking a deep dive on your pc and look at what could have been running.

honestly i don't have anything dodgy at all running, i refresh my pc every 3-4 months with a clean install, nothing out of the ordinary at all is on there i know 100%

Edited by RedPhoenix HD: 7/26/2019 9:06:05 PMDoesn't have to be dodgy - just has to be something that can be used to inject or manipulate the game, or used in the game for purposes other than the game was intended. i.e. macros for controller/keyboard/mouse manipulation ... legit in general, but not allowed by Bungie i.e. Visual Studio of any flavor. If running, can set it off since it could be used to reverse engineer or alter the files. Legit, but not allowed by Bungie. Both above could be on any system, especially if you are taking courses for programming etc - it is you responsibility to have them disabled before opening Destiny games. I'm not saying you have these, but they are 2 legit things that can be found on systems. There are many others. You need to analyse everything on your system, including all services and applications and software that the system account, administrator account, or other Windows accounts/services may be running - not just yourself.

i know so many people that do cheat though and they have never been banned yet the one person who doesn't do anything dodgy in the slightest is banned, i'm really missing the point bungie is trying to make here i honestly am ban the people that spend all their money on bungie products and apparel but keep all the people that cheat in the game

My account just got banned too and I dont know why. It is ridiculous that the system doesn't give you a reason. For those who say the ban is manually applied, I doubt someone is at Bungie office placing bans this late. Now I am seating here trying to see what in the world I can do but apparently Bans are permanent (even erroneous ones). I wouldn't be posting if my account got banned and I was cheating. But, getting ban for no apparent reason and lose hundreds of ours played, hundreds of dollars into this game without an explanation is not FEAR.

It can be a simple as running the wrong app at the wrong time.

Yeah I understand that and that's my issue, if I was cheating I wouldn't be spending hundreds on silver and merch which they know I spend, put so many hours into not just D2 but D1 aswell, if I don't get any responses back by Tuesday I'm gonna take it further to most likely polygon and get them to answer me

At the very least if they ban you, they should give you a reason for it so this way you have a chance to see if you can fix what was wrong or what caused the ban. I'm sure it could seem like you are cheating if someone put malware on your computer and was hacking the game through your PC without you knowing. I had malware on my PC and it took me forever to fix, a huge pain in the ass.

Yep literally everyone I know is dumb founded by what's happened because I'm not that sort of player to cheat or exploit or even have a bad connection, I grind hard on a daily and weekly basis for the last nearly 5 years in destiny just for this to happen! No reason, no prior warnings, no prior restrictions or bans, just a straight up your done cya

I'm guessing you were hacked or someone you play with was doing something they shouldn't, I can't see any other reason if you weren't cheating but honestly, even if you were, they should always give you a chance to make it right. It's a game for crying out loud, not a bank account.

The thing is I know people who cheat and use mods and hacks but they are absolutely fine and still playing. Destiny was my happy place as such, I suffer from severe depression and anxiety, destiny has saved me many a time over the last couple years from falling into a dark place I do everything by the book, I wouldn't spend tons of money on merch, collectors editions and bungie store stuff if I was cheating because that is just a waste of money, but the people that spend the most time, do everything legit are the ones that get banned for no reason

As well, if the reason is not your fault, they should make it right. Honestly, I'm getting close to being done with this game. I've actually been playing some of my older collections of games and having a blast. Not sure if you have that option but you would be surprised how some of your older games still have that POP that makes you happy... I wish you the best and I hope you get some info about what happened and I hope they give you a chance to fix it.

Chances are slim They've had this policy since Day 1 of D1 it won't change anytime soon.

Yeah well, it's not encouraging for new players. If I knew they did this, it's a good chance I never would have bothered buying it. Who wants to take that chance that you get banned through no fault of your own. I think it would be hard to tell on a PC if YOU are doing the hacking or if someone else is doing it through your PC. Again, it's why I wouldn't use my PC to game, a console is safer.

We shall see, if they are keeping it banned im demanding a refund for stuff that I've bought recently I've got other games I play aswell but I always get dragged back in one way or another I'm trying to get in contact with them but so far just being ignored by everyone
