241 RepliesSorry you aren't enjoying the Tribute Hall. One of our goals here was to provide players who had a lot of resources with something cool to spend them on. We also wanted to make sure players who weren't swimming around in a Scrooge McDuck vault of materials could do some bounties to bring the cost down.
-
8 RepliesThe glimpse that causes me pause regarding this is the Tribute exploit. Grinding the 45 Tributes has been just that. A grind. Totally out of most planetary materials, low on shards, glimmer, & Bright Dust has taken a beating. 44 out of 45 Tributes turned in for the catalyst. All Tributes that can be acquired from the statue have been. Now it’s play PVP, Gambit, or complete various Raid encounters whilst fully decked out in Menagerie armour and weapons to complete the rest. Those that did the exploit have the catalyst and have all their materials, shards, and glimmer still. Not to mention they got to skip the grind. Seems like the players doing it legit, playing the game as intended, received the short end of the stick on this deal. Rant over.

what is the tribute hall. Oh that place I went to get the bad juju and never went back to and won't ever.
-
3 RepliesIt was another way to cater to no lifers and streamers.
-
3 RepliesJust stop. No one put a gun to your head and forcing you to deplete your resources. If you can't delay gratification long enough to do the bounties that reduce the cost....then that's your issue. In my own case, I don't mind spending the planetary mats (you can earn up to 90 of them a day by simply doing the planetary bounties) or the glimmer. But I'm not going to burn through all my Legendary shards just because I can't wait a week or two to get an exotic catalyst.
-
8 RepliesIs the bad juju even worth the grind or is it just another trophy for your vault. I cant see myself taking off mountaintop or anarchy to use an exotic for add clear. I can see maybe in some remote situation maybe needing to have that super booster maybe. But I half doubt it will ever happen.

Edited by Kevin: 7/17/2019 4:22:25 AMI know right? Damn currencies loosely based on money, players can easily purchase eververse armor, dismantle them for glimmer and shards when the update comes and cheese the tribute hall! Damn Bungie devs have their heads up their asses!
In all seriousness who cares about brightdust, if you’re purchasing engrams just so you can dismantle the rewards for brightdust to get a statue of a ghost, you really are stupid.
9 RepliesHey now, all the streamers needed to have something to use their stacks and stacks of material on. Not that Bungie didn't have 4+ years to learn how to make the material in this game more useful like D1 but what do I know right?

5 RepliesEdited by ClovenTrack620: 7/16/2019 3:41:53 PMIm still waiting for some actual New story or something interesting to finally happen in this game Uldren became a guardian: no impact on the game whatsoever the Traveler woke & killed Garry: then went right back to sleep We've been working for Calus since D2 came out: we still haven't met the dude, starting to think he doesn't even exist The nine sent us a bunch of invitation: we still haven't met them & we still don't know sh!t about them "new" Shadowkeep DLC: offers no "new" loactions & the not so "new" enemies are a bunch of bulletsponges we already killed in D1🙄 What is the Darkness?: we still dont know, we may never know, not even Bungie had an answer when asked about it we finally met Osiris: for like 1 minute never to be seen again Did the Speaker really die from a 3ft fall?? whatever he was useless anyways Where's the Exo Stranger?: who the fcuk knows, at least now we know her identity, great. no impact on the game whatsoever Cayde died: No new Hunter Vanguard has been assigned, maybe Uldren will take his place for the low cost of another Garbage "DLC" what a shocker This game had so much potential but it always felt so empty, the magic is gone or maybe it was never there

I like it, in fact I love it. I love games where things can physically be earned in the world, showing your accomplishments.

You must literally be -blam!-
-
You have to do 80 bounties anyway. Even little kids can handle choosing 2 cookies later instead of 1 cookie now. You're guaranteed to have enough bright dust from the 27 EZ bright engrams you would get from 3 characters for 3 weeks while doing the 80 bounties.
-
7 RepliesOr you could go till the 80% discount and pay 40 materials per statue. And if you dont have 300.000 bright dust by now you dont play enough to complain.
-
22 RepliesEven the 80% discount is a lie. They are so crooked I bet no employee can stand upright and proud.
-
You know you could just do the bounties to get max discount and do the triumphs to get free tributes.
-
A glimpse at how the future is to be cheesed? Yeah. Bungie sure knows how to -blam!- a game up

Edited by WHISKEYJ0HNNY0: 7/16/2019 2:16:43 PMThe activities that revolve around the Tribute hall aren’t fun. I like the hall though Itself! A trophy room with killable enemy clones is nice! -But a grind that’s specifically designed to drain our recourses isn’t fun at all. I wouldn’t mind the grind if it were a permanent part of Destiny 2 but it’s only for a season prior to a new DLC that’s designed to clear out our mats and bright dust.... Make a hall a permanent part of the game. Make it a private space for clans to use and customize.
-
My biggest issue with the Hall is it's extremely boring. I don't really care about the materials dump as much as I wish they would have put more thought into the tributes. Reduce the number by half and make them something to actually go out and do instead of mindlessly farming materials. The mission was really awesome though.

Edited by JoaoH2000: 7/16/2019 3:54:10 PMYou can get bright dust from engrams, just dismantle the itens you get, come on, no one uses all the itens from bright engrams, you can get 9 per week in a few hours (exp x3 with each char 3 times). It's possible to get 1k bright dust in some drops as well, exotics gives you 500 bright dusts. You can get a total of 80% discount on the purchase too.
-
Yeah...no. You could just apply the discount....like most sane people.
-
Waaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
-
If you're getting even just the easy nine "Best of Year One" engrams a week, having ample bright dust should not be a problem at all and definitely shouldn't require real money. If this isn't the case for you, odds are you're holding on to ships and sparrows that you're never going to use. But hey, you bought the game and if you want to collect ships, that's fine. Then just do the super-easy bounties and get a huge discount. The bounties were clearly designed to be completed while you're in activities you would have been doing anyway.
-
If you do the bounties each day until the end of july, you’ll have an 80% discount and it won’t be much to spend at all. Except for bright, that stuff i still don’t wanna spend, even if it goes down to like 1k even then that’s still quite a bit.
-
Right now I’m kinda pissed that people -blam!- about having too much glimmer and now Bungie changed Spider. -blam!-ing dumbasses.
-
Personally I have no problem with the price of everything, 20 tributes only cost 700 shards which isn’t a HUGE deal. I’m waiting till I get the 80% discount before I buy the rest but I will say that bright dust SHOULD NOT be apart of this. I have 30k+ currently but I could see quite a lot of people not having that much/saving it. I know that it’s not going away and Bright Dust “might” be abundant when Shadowkeep comes out but still...
