I mean actually go though and play a story with cinematics and NPC, learn more on the weapon and the story behind it

Uldren Sov You make some valid points and i agree that eververse must be removed from this game but, Whether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let's get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta'aurc. From what I can gather, he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank just outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold

4 RepliesBoth the Khovostov and Gjallarhorn quest in ROI is a perfect example that Bungie seriously need to use for reference The Lumina quest is kind of a big deal since we are wielding a purified version of thorn ,THE Thorn ,so I had hoped a bit more effort would’ve gone into the quest instead of 1 paragraph for each quest step and an unrelated objective

4 RepliesEdited by Corrick II: 7/9/2019 11:46:35 PMI just completed the Perfect Paradox quest and it was such a nice surprise. It also made me wonder what terrible thing happened to the design team that all they want to do now is make weapon quests consist of miserable fetch and kill steps instead of injecting some story and lore into each one. Yes, I know making content is hard (no sarcasm, it is costly and time consuming), but even a little goes a long way.
-
5 RepliesGo read a book if you like stories.
-
I’m not saying it wouldn’t be nice, but that takes a lot of extra time, adds a significant cost and then a lot of people just skip past the cinematic as quickly as possible.
-
Only if they're unpredictable and less mediocre than the rest of the game.

Edited by Pure: 7/10/2019 9:53:00 PMThe simple answer is: It takes money and time. Making entire cinematics and voice acted quests every time is simply not technically feasable. We get some quests that are simple fetch quests maybe with a minor change to an existing activity and then some are immense, etertaining missions like Whisper and Zero Hour (The Otherside too but, not as much). I think this is a fine compromise, its not like every quest can be Zero Hour. Although, what I would like to see is more in-game "events" so to speak, almost iike a story mission but not. Remember the ending to the Last Word quest? I thought it was pretty cool. Didnt require any voice acting, or a cinematic, but it was a unique twist and told you a bit about the gun via the gaeplay, for those that dont want to read lore. I think it was pretty cool and wish other quests like Lumina had the same treatment. (Sidenote: It would be cool if said ending quest-missions would be replayable, just like "Ace In The Hole" from caydes exotic quest)

5 RepliesHere we go the crying has started

It takes a lot of time and money to create new cinematics and playable spaces so some quests have to be simple and others can be like whisper or Outbreak. I wish we could get a whisper tier exotic mission a month, I'd pay good money for that.
-
why do that when that can just take all the mats you earned. and drag a discount quest out 20 days?
-
3 RepliesThey should heavily tie it into Comp, the Raids, and Gambit Prime.
-
Ngl all of the exotic quest so far having been random missions and tasks put together without anyway real context or meaning. Just recycled ideas and content 🙅♂️🙅♂️🙅♂️
-
That’s what Netflix is for

I second this! I would have thought a hive styled secret mission for the JuJu would have been awesome. Taken for Whisper mission, Fallen for Outbreak. (Should have been Siva) but still, be nice to see, also just last week we got Lumina. We could have waited till Shadowkeep or a week before launch.

Remember the return of Gally? That’s what I want again. Oh, the feels
-
3 RepliesOr just something that takes longer than 2 hours.
-
3 RepliesIt would be more interesting, but it would also take more work. That work could instead be put to other things. I'm kind of neutral on this. I could have it either way.
-
Story? You mean story about you spending all your reasourses for 10 min mission and than grind old stuff for catalyst? Sure, Bungie will add a lot of this. =}
-
“something about Bad Ju Ju” Toland- That’s about all I can remember. lol
-
But don’t you wanna play Gambit Prime? I’m sorry, what I meant to say was You want to play Gambit Prime

6 RepliesBungle:"NO YOU WILL PLAY GAMBIT PRIME AND YOU WILL LIKE IT"
-
It would be fun to have a quest that doesn't drag out
-
1 ReplyNo. You will do crucible specific activities, replay dead quest steps (Corsair down), leave a planet to speak to someone in the tower and they tell you to Return to the Planet you just left AND YOU WILL LIKE IT!!!!!!
