They can by putting the factions back and 86ing the whole "faction rally" idea
-
8 RepliesThey should really just have kept the D1 faction system. There was nothing wrong with it.
-
5 RepliesI'm still trying to figure out how it takes a company over a year to try to figure out what to do with them. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't there a catalyst you get from them?
-
1 ReplyI can tell you, having all 15 faction ornaments, Sunshot, GL, and SB catalysts, that Faction rallies sucked. Having to pledge per account rather than character was a bad move. The debuff mechanic was horrendous. It should have only been active upon wearing a faction class item. If they bring this back it needs a complete overhaul.

I'd love to see factions come back with more of a story/seasonal impact. They could devote an entire season to one of their stories, wrapping a narrative through the year as we learn more about each of their characters, philosophizes and struggles. I'd settle for static vendors with random rolls like in D1.
-
They can apparently create multiple new expansions, but can't come up with an idea for faction rallies despite the d1 system being fine. I'm convinced neither factions or trials are returning ever. They know everyone just wants the old version back, but they seem insistent they don't want to do that.

I want horns back :l
-
Not just that, it was something to do and strive for.... was talking with 2 clan mates last night and we all have a vault full of Tokens, weapons parts ect..... time consuming and virtually pointless to turn in.
-
Yeah, get rid of the faction rally concept and reuse the D1 factions concept, including weekly random rolled loot in their inventories.

Edited by Infamous067: 7/8/2019 1:40:42 PMI enjoyed the destiny 1 factions. I grinded so hard to unlock all 3 faction class exotics. I cant even grind right now for shaders which is a shame since now I have no choice but to wait until cross save is available for me to cross my warlock over to pc and then be allowed to use the shaders on my hunter.

I loved the way factions worked in D1 more than I did with faction rallies. But there should be a way to keep people at the factions they want to represent. In D1 I soon noticed myself hopping from one faction to the other, based on what weapons they had. FWC had a better pulse rifle? I joined FWC for a few weeks until I had a better/good/god-roll. Then I went to New Monarchy for the hand cannon and then to Dead orbit for the scout... If all factions sold the same weapons, but completely within their style/color scheme, people would stick with their faction. throughout the season/year/whatever. Scout X DO edition Scout X FWC edition Scout X NM edition Hand Cannon Y DO edition Hand Cannon Y FWC edition Hand Cannon Y NM edition All weapons have the same perks/roll possibilities, But the looks are 100% of their faction. That way, there is no need to shop between factions and you can stay true to your faction. :)

Since we're talking about D1 stuff , the way factions worked in D1 was the correct way to have them work . Now we could add bounties to each faction with each having sets of armor and weapons even more shaders (we need more you know it). Nightfalls , let's go back to Bungie setting up the challenge ONLY if you take the tickle burn away and no stupid timer if it takes my old butt 1 hour to finish so be it , give us the real burn back . Strikes should be done like the nightfalls are done now with the card the higher the difficulty the higher the rewards .(just under nightfall difficulty) Also load this game with every piece of armor and weapons from D1 and D2 let's have some fun....
-
Here’s what I think: Keep factions in a “passive stage” like they were in D1. You could turn in planetary materials, tokens, or other items to gain experience and once you level up you get a randomly rolled weapon or armor piece from that faction. But when a faction rally rolls around, the factions are much more involved in activities, like the D2 faction counterpart.
-
I just want the shaders.................
-
Well. Idk about that Dead Orbit trash. But factions need to be permanent like in D1 with random rolled weapons from packages, as well as an exotic class item quest.
-
4 RepliesNo, not faction rally. The faction rally events in D2 were not the way forward. Bring back D1 style factions with exotic class items and rotating vendor gear.
-
The armor and weapons they offer are already in the game. I dont know why they are no longer attainable and just forgotten about. Just update them to Y2 and make faction leaders vendors like anyone else at the tower and allow us to buy things from them and level up reputation like D1.
-
I do miss the D1 style Faction system. I loved the lion ornaments for the New Monarchy sets.
-
I miss being able to rep your faction with a badass class item with special spawn in animations.
-
Factions should just be brought back for an additional source of loot!
-
1 ReplyEdited by Lord Yoink N Bag: 7/7/2019 2:14:15 PMI do NOT miss having that stupid debuff after a PE just to run a lost sector Devour and crimson were very useful And the only time when running EP NOT picking up easy patrol missions and opening HVT chests. Also when doing the EP PE having to mass suicide afterwards. That mechanic SUCKED!!!!
-
1 ReplyRallies were bad. Repetitive and half baked. Bring back factions in a meaningful way.
-
4 RepliesWhenever they do decide to bring it back, I'll definitely be ready. I've got almost 700+ of each Factions token wasting away in my vault..
-
3 RepliesBring them back permanently and give us and exotic class item quest.
-
2 RepliesThe true spirit of dead orbit would be to quit the game!! #fwc

Edited by BossManTings88: 7/8/2019 10:45:45 AMRemember gunsmith rank from arms day stuff to get a unique piece of gear for each class Ace of spades was hunter only That auto with the half sized bullet shield for the Titan And I don’t remember the warlocks We’re did all those ideas go (I’m not implying ace needs to go hunter only I’m merely referencing exotics unique for each class
