Frigid Jackal ????!
So it’s pretty much been a year since Warmind came out and I’m still in search of a FRIGID JACKAL ?Its the only weapon i need for wayfarer so in the space of a year I have opened 30+ schematic engrams AND STILL NO FCKING SNIPER. Excuse me bungie but my luck maybe shit but it can’t be that shit ?

Try doing the nascent dawn quest on your second character and Anna bray might just give it to you,after one of the early stages.

3 RepliesA few tips on getting it. 1. Only get one Schematic a day, the first always drops quite easily but the second takes ages. 2. There is a system to somewhat protect against duplicate drops but because it’s a Y1 weapon you need the other weapons in your inventory rather just sitting in your collections. I was missing the Auto rifle and the instant I pulled all the rest of the guns out was the time I finally got it. RNG is RNG but there’s two things help

Those are rookie numbers, you gotta bump those numbers up. Took me much longer to get them all. You realize you are only doing like less than 3 schematics per month at that rate right? I was grinding at least one per day for months.

I’m in the same boat with 18 kelvins. The stupid thing won’t drop. I also can’t get the last override frequency. I’ve spent at least a dozen hours in the last week on mars and I can’t get it

It can be bad luck, one day out of many i farmed for 8 hours straight to get winter wolf and got nothing i got probably 10+ snipers 7+ sidearms and 5+ scout rifles i even finished the emblem for 40/40 nodes before i even got the gun. I got it nearly a year ago or what ever but that’s because i can grind hardcore

Dude perhaps we need to cross paths because that is the only thing that ever drops for me... I am missing all the other Braytech weapons except maybe 18 kelvins... This game is soooo broken.

I had to open over 1,000 nodes to get all 40 unique nodes, took 8 months of grinding. Feel your pain. (It also took me 9 months to get my first Gjallarhorn.) But Wayfarer is the only title I have, and I'm glad the grind is over. Good luck bro.

For me it was the auto rifle. Probably went through as many if not more schematic and no winter wolf. Finally I had to stop grinding for a few months to just enjoy other aspects of the game. Sure enough when I decided to try for it again it came on my 1st or 2nd schematic IIRC. Maybe coincidental it was also shortly after a season release? RNG is -blam!- but it will swing your way soon. I feel your pain bro. Imagine doing over 100 Last Wish raids, 70+ SotP raids, 10+ COS raids, plus all the chances on Dreaming City to get Hunter gauntlets with Enhanced HC reload and fusion rifle scavenger and never getting the drop you want. I’ve even farmed the shit out of Menagerie for Reverie Dawn gauntlets but still can’t get the perk combo on my Hunter. I hope your luck changes soon. GL 👍
