This weapon eats those gambit enemies alive.
Im passing on breaking my neck for that rifle
Update: how do i get the catalyst?
Update2: thanks for the replies. I know now how to get the catalyst.

1 ReplyI literally just started using it this week, it's been in my vault with the catalyst for months. People. It's f*cking great. Don't sleep on it. And I don't even have the catalyst fully completed yet. Hooooooly sh*t.
-
I got mine from a heroic adventure on mercury very early on.
-
2 RepliesI've been enjoying it lately, just finished the Catalyst. Need to do Merciless, Riskrunner, DARCI, Sturm, Wardcliff, and Prospector next... I regret being lazy 💀
-
Huckleberry came before Breakneck...?...
-
run it with transversive steps and you never have to reload again as long as you have the catalyst.
-
2 RepliesI’ve found I kinda like it while doing the Imperial bounty, but how do you deal with the recoil?
-
An exotic thats better than its Legendary counterpart, *audiable gasp* wHo WouLD oF THouGhT!?!
-
Eh, I'd rather use breakneck and have an exotic slot open than be restriced to just using huckleberry
-
1 ReplyHuckleberry with the catalyst is probably the best smg for PvE, match it with LQ and wendigo and there you go. With it masterworked you can get tons of orbs faster meaning more dps with wendigo if you are a solo player and matched with LQ any horde in the game doesn't stand a chance. Ya so what if recluse is a "better" option, it isn't when compared to Huckleberry ever since the buff no PvE loadout is that good without it. My opinions on the best loadouts for both solo and team: Huckleberry, LQ, wendigo or any good GL for solo dps. Outbreak, Recluse or LQ, and any good heavy for team dps.

Edited by LouieMags4: 6/30/2019 7:42:19 PMGun is phenomenal with the catalyst. One of the most underrated weapons in PVE right now Oh, and best tip to upgrad the catalyst is to go into the leviathan and run around the castellum for an hour or two. You’ll be done in no time
-
Little tip: Once you have the catalyst, fire up the whisper mission, drop down through the crack in the floor of the big puzzle room and farm the shadow thrall. Catalyst should be done pretty quick.
-
Huckleberry is good for chopping through red bars.
-
Lol try recluse in gambit
-
2 RepliesEverything is a breakneck replacement lol. The gun simply isn't that good, and I could never understand why everyone foams at the mouth over it.
-
See the main issue isnt that hucklechuckle is meh. Its that it takes an exotic slot. Sure its okay as an exotic, but we live in a world where there are multitudes of exotics that outshine chucklehuckle. Now BREAKNECK, is a gem of a weapon because of a few simple facts, it doesn't take up an exotic slot..which gives you so many more options for more powerful exotics, and it does work in both PvE AND PvP. Also you're comparing an autorifle to an SmG which is kinda faulty in itself, its like comparing Polaris Lance to Lunas howl. Now if we were to compare chucklechuckle to something like Recluse, THEN we could really get into details (not really though, recluse is dominant AND an elemental)
-
22 RepliesHuckleberry is a poor man's Recluse
-
6 RepliesHuckleberry is fun and useful in basic level PvE content. It won’t hold up shit in anything challenging though. Id grab that breakneck, fam.
-
6 RepliesNot it's not. Ride the bull sucks. Ol break neck is still better and doesn't take an exotic slot.
-
I love this gun. Me and a friend were trying to go deathless on shattered throne yesterday. Strategy for thrall room with no sprint is just hold the trigger on huckleberry and watch them fall. Especially with the catalyst.
-
I always use huckleberry I got 11,00 kills on it in a month.
-
Only downside for Breakneck is when you're fighting alongside other Guardians... when they steal your kills, you lose your Rampage stack. That's why I prefer Sweet Business in those activities. Especially ultra chaotic ones like Menagerie or Blind Well.
-
2 RepliesYou get the catalyst from heroic adventures on mercury. At least thats where mine came from
-
Complete heroic adventures. It will drop at random after the adventure is complete. After you get it you just have to get kills with it.

Edited by SamSu916: 6/29/2019 9:28:48 PMI actually have a pretty fun strike build that revolves around skipping the reload process. Here's some screen shots to give you an idea. It's also good in Gambit if you're not playing the range game but I use this mostly for strikes and nightfalls. https://imgur.com/MODGQWZ https://imgur.com/ejzwZgw https://imgur.com/ZE4xakN So basically at any given point the only targets you have left are majors, bust out the special ammo weapon and either tear them down or get them weak enough for Huckleberry to finish off. Boss fights revolves around shooting at the boss with a mixture of Huckleberry when ads are present to get the most out of it and when ads are not present you'll switch between the special(two bursts at a time with Backup Plan) and heavy meanwhile waiting for ads which usually spawns before the rotation is over assuming the boss isn't already dead.

Every Tex Mechanica weapon is a good one.

32 RepliesHuckleberry sucks and isn’t worth an exotic slot
