2 RepliesHi everyone! Matchmaking maybe would be bad. To be honest I don't really know what the outcome would be. But I have to say it is pretty sad that they didn't think about a Guided game like Bungie did for 'Last wish' or 'Black Armory' Raids. And to the point "There's a triumph for completing it with 3 man or less!' Other games have a fill up or don't fill function. Maybe Bungie could implement such a thing into the game so you could still start this activity even with a smaller group and wouldn't have to worry about bad or untalented blueberries/farmers or how else you would like to call them! That's just my opinion. There will always be ways to make more people happy. You just have to wanna do it! Let's wait. maybe it will come. But I doubt it to be honest!

2 RepliesThere’s literally a triumph for completing it with 3 or less people. Matchmaking would make that obsolete. Also it’s not hard to just find a team. If you don’t care who you play with then just pick up anyone. I don’t understand how that’s so inconvenient

To everyone saying "hurr durr just use lfg", it's pretty stupid to assume that large parts of a game's content should be locked behind something as unreliable as a 3rd party lfg (elitism, dry periods, etc) system which doesnt even guarantee a group just so the sweats who have an entire friends list comprised of people only playing this game dont have to do a few runs with matchmade randoms.

You can still form your Fireteams like you are already planning to for these game modes anyway. No-Matchmaking, does ruin the game for others that just want the experience of playing the game mode, even if it means being unsuccessful. There is a lot of LFG elitism out there that won’t give LFGers a chance unless they have already experienced the game mechanics. Getting experience through Matchmaking would help in that way. Finally, no matter what, the power cap will be raised eventually and make the encounters more and more doable for groups of random matchmade players. There is really no reason for not having Matchmaking available for all game modes.

11 RepliesNo its not. Matchmaking is ruing game modes like gambit and crucible, manageri is next. Because people do not know how to play, and they aint very good. That means heroic managri would be almost imposible with randoms

Yup.. It's already been completed with a team of 3 and 3 randos with no mics.. So the whole argument that no on would finish has already been thrown out. It's been 2 manned and even solo attempts. God forbid though that randos get a chance to run it.. oh hell no! The Earth would stop its rotation. My take.. f it anymore.. Let those activities keep the 10 - 15% player attempts.. then when the Devs ask.. "Why isnt anyone running these?" They can go look back at 5 years of feedback.. and say... "Nope.. no idea!" You know cause Bungie doesn't give a shit.

2 RepliesI 3 manned heroic and... good luck doing that in a matchmade team lmao. Even doing it with 6 people good luck matching 6 people all using PvE meta stuff and convincing them to switch to it if they arent in the first place.

Sorry but playing heroic activities with blueberries is prob the most annoying thing. Set up a team. If you can't set up a team then get more friends or join a clan.

9 RepliesI'll be honest. I do not want matchmaking for this. Most people I play with can't get normal right, I really don't want a bunch of people facerolling the various challenges. Seriously: - Mockery; only I try to protect my side. Ever other Haven is destroyed, and they proceed to get in my way. - Hunted; Maybe three people focus the Knight, who proceeds to kill the entire group. - Riposte; Forget trying to kill the ogres, these people can barely coordinate on the Knights. - Gauntlet; Without the cheese, I'm pretty sure these people would never finish the Gauntlet, 4 die, I finish the run and guy # 6 is grenade launching the finish line. - Arkborn; Cluster**** of people stealing the Charged from each other. - Crystals; See above - Ogre Boss; Literally every single group I've seen kills the Knights. - Minotaur; Sharing the Circle - Vex Mind; Summon to the Same plate - Lamplighting; Can't even just dunk one ball each. So, there you have it, THIS, this right here, is why matchmaking for this even doesn't exist. This is the easiest damn content in the world, and people still don't care to, or just can't get it right. I honestly hope they never create matchmaking for it, because as it stands now, heroic version actually requires skill to play. If matchmaking is added, you'll get the whining, good for nothings, ruining the content because they can't dunk a light properly.

My opinion on match making in difficult content that requires comms: I'd expect most attempts to fail miserably, It would be reasonable to assume after a fair few failures people would stop trying due to frustration. Although we don't have an in game lfg, we do have lfg tools available. I honestly think if you can't join or set up an lfg for a raid or heroic endgame then why are you even bothering to complain about not getting completions? It's my opinion that in game matchmaking for these types of activity is fruitless.

Like they say, the proof is in the pudding. A lot of random groups have already completed it with no mics, no coordination. For the last boss all you need is a bubble, a well and patience for gods sake thats it. You dont even have to bother with hunted/mockery if you get a perfect score in gauntlet and do a decent job on crystals. While I agree that having comms helps a lot, if people can do it without why not open it for matchmaking. I know I for one will not run it as soon as I get the sword and plenty of others will do the same. This has been posted many times and people that are against matchmaking they should understand that it does not affect them in any way, they can still run it with their clan/friends. The argument that people are going to come and complain if there is matchmaking is invalid as I can see 10 posts on this forum complaining about Heroic Menagerie and there's no matchmaking going on.
