I love Dust Rock Blues! Shotgunners who crutch DRB are super easy to bait into my Chaperone! They feel so confident in their easy weapon that they don't even expect anyone to be able to out range them! Love it. Best addition to the game, just because it makes the bad players even easier to bait and kill. In all seriousness, fighting DRB, and to a lesser extent Retold Tale/any other long range shotgun, is not very difficult. Before each match, inspect every player. Check to see how many shotguns to expect. Use radar in match, to tell when a shotgunner is around a corner. Don't rush the corner, and stay a few meters a way from it. Bait them to rush you, while you are far away. You can guaranteed kill them before they get you if you use an erentil or Chaperone. Expect a slide around the corner, so prepare to aim low. Stay backpedaling as they rush you. If you are confident in your aim, you can even jump up and backwards. Practicing and watching videos for technique are the best way to be able to fight shotguns. When fighting Chaperone, don't. Unless you have an erentil and you are good with it, the range of Chaperone will surprise you, and baiting them will fail. Erentil is really the only thing that can beat a Chaperone at range. Or, you can use your own chaperone and be better than them at aiming and judging when you are in the optimal kill range. Use that to help you fight shotguns. They do need a range nerf universally, but they can be fought as is.
