Its all about the title. Cant do anything right. Horrible company. I want them to go back to Activision at this point.
Anyone remember how they said "we cant wait to see what a Bungie owned Destiny would look like" well there you go everyone.

Weapons are powerful = community complains about "OP" weapons Weaken the weapons slightly = community complains about nerfs Bungie leaves the weapon be/does the above 2 = community complains bungie doesnt listen.

Edited by TonnoSenpai: 5/28/2019 9:27:30 PMyeah , no have infinite heavy ammo and infinite super's make game so harder i can't play without that , cmon
-
Boy is this funny. If they make raids around people spamming supers and using infinite ammo forgiving guns then they will only be achievable with those loadouts ya dingus. Whisper nerf allows for more variety. Sure it’s not so exotic any more which that needs to be fixed but infinite ammo? Come on. Super regen exotics are FINE. Can’t believe you forgot you get super for killing enemies and from orbs of light which are everywhere. LoW will still be best shotgun, just not by such a large margin anymore.

1 ReplyBungie hit gold with VoG and has never been able to hit that mark again effectively. And please do not tell me King's Fall was better than VoG, because it wasn't. The damn Super Destiny Bros. platforming crap that Smith thought was "such a fun idea" was annoying as sh*t. Crappy platform does not make a raid "difficult", just annoying.

1 ReplyThe drop in quality of the raids between D1 and D2 is staggering. (The drop in quality of 'pretty much anything' between D1 and D2 is staggering.) (The drop in quality between D1 and D2 is staggering.)

2 RepliesOk first of all Season of Opulence is the last Activision-influenced part of Destiny. Second, if you’re so smart then why don’t you make the Raids? I’m sure that’ll turn out great
-
3 RepliesHow would you make raids challenging with exotics in place that do constant, infinite damage and supers that only get stronger with every extra enemy coded into an encounter?
-
Really it the whole “we split with activision” announcement that’s shows you the problem. Why announce it knowing you have half a year more activision BS to realease? The devs there can clearly make a game. It’s the leadership that keeps messing up the codebase with shifting requirements, shady rng params and streamer influenced changes.

Literally none of this content is Bungie made you stupid walnut. Bungie CONTENT is this fall.

29 RepliesIt doean't work that way. If Bungie was just concerned with adding challenge, they could bump "Last Wish" up to 705 and give Riven another 3,000,000 hp. It's just number manipulation. They could do that with all the raids" Calus's bot could get a big upgrade, and one-plating him could be a thing of the distant past. Ditto with Argos, and all the others. The problem is that their challenging content, like the Outbreak raid, has revealed some very defined meta equipment. Such as Whisper, and its infinite ammo ability. Because Bungie wants us to use a wide variety of weapons instead of just relying on a few, they're nerfing the stuff that's most commonly used. The only way we can stop the nerfs is to just use a wide variety of guns.

New content is hard. Quick changes are hard. Balancing is hard. Something happens that benefits the player, its fixed in a few days.
-
What gets me is the nerfs aren't going to affect raids. There will be plenty of orbs and 6 people with Whisper are going to melt anything.
-
And yet there talented enough to make you play everyday. Don't sh_it where you eat.
-
They are severely incompetent and they always go for the easiest and laziest solution to a problem. They don’t really care about feedback, as they never ask for it before implementing their backwards ideas. They want everything quick & easy, even if the vast majority is against it. A Minimum Viable Product at its finest.

12 RepliesRight that's why everyone relies on cheeses to beat raids. Take Riven for example. If I want to do Riven legit I have to find a dedicated team not just some random lfg team who would kick me for the suggestion. Almost every piece of high end content we have to cheese because I guess it's that easy? You look at any lfg forum and a good 60% of people need to choose the content. If it's so easy why is this the case? Dont give me that it's faster bs. Riven legit takes maybe ten more minutes to do.

3 Repliesi don’t think it’s necessarily that they lack the capacity but perhaps they lack the motivation.

1 ReplyTechnically bungie are still in agreement until September when the annual pass ends. It'll be year 3 when they are making and releasing content on their own terms
-
This is from the company that just throws Jumping Puzzles, Stomp Mechanics, Timers, and Instant Kills in to everything and thinks that is what actually makes their game challenges. I mean other than that we get what? Standing on plates? Throwing/Carrying/Dunking orbs? Maybe using another item to point a beam somewhere? Even those aren't all that hard.

3 RepliesDestiny is still feeling the after effects of actviision If you slap a puddle of water, just because your hand is no longer touching the water doesn't mean the ripples also dissappear

1 ReplyI disagree. Some aspects of the raids work really well and are really well executed. Particularly the parts that challenge team coordination. Think Shuro Chi's Elevator, or actually most encounters in the scourge of the past. The game is at its strongest when it challenges team coordination rather than individual player performance and DPS, because of the overall difficulties it has with how it scales enemies (light scaling is flat out horrible for the player experience IMO, i made a huge thread on it). So i disagree. The raids are where the game shines the most. Bashing at those makes no sense - they are literally the one ray of sunlight between the clouds that is the rest of the seasonal grind.

3 RepliesPower creep applies to encounters as well. If they buff weapons so they’re all godly then bosses need ridiculous amounts of health. The Whisper nerf was warranted, it’s simply in D2 with luna’s and rally it’s now redundant. In D1 the nerf worked.
-
Power creep is ok in a looter shooter. Why? Because the idea is to level up and be able to farm encounters for desirable loot as quickly and efficiently as possible. After the first few times you beat a new encounter, I don't want to be "challenged " every single time in hopes of a god roll but instead get blue items. Imagine farming the reckoning after the nerf, no changes has been made to the encounters or loot drop rates, bungie essentially made it take longer to farm loot.

Last wish took what 24 hours or something???

My friend made a very funny but honest point: All Destiny content is, is just stuffing rooms full of ads and a boss that doesn't move that shakes your camera the whole time. It's like...if the BOSS was the actual enemy and not just mobs the activities bungies makes would be fine. Wrath of the machine made the boss the actual enemy the whole time. Crota was always a looming threat that could charge you destroy you. Scourge is actually one of the better raids because the boss isn't always something easy to hit and requires more competent abilities than just mowing down ads. It's still important, but it's not reckoning level shit.
