Very simple question. Only want answers. Tis a question post.
It seems like there's barely anything that could go wrong.
People getting to infuse more isn't a bad thing either.
Complaints about the other currencies are also unlikely and is an actual use of the "you're overdoing it" statement.
With that out, what else?

5 RepliesEdited by Phoenix: 4/27/2019 2:52:04 PMPride and Accomplishment is what the supporters will lose. Enhancement Cores create a terrible player mentality where a player feels the need to pile up on them, or run out and not be able to infuse anything in the future. I hate this type of mentality! I have 400+ cores and it's difficult for me to want to masterwork any gun in fear of actually running low on 'em.

2 RepliesYou forget the bruised egos and pride of the members of the Investment Team that are defending this impactful and meaningful choice. I firmly believe they are actually going to die upon this hill. -blam!-ing idiots.🤦♂️

2 RepliesWe’d lose our sense of pride and accomplishment

Easy to see brown nosing idiots and elitists. They are the ones that have no logic to their statements. I have my own clan lost half over cores. I regularly sherpa raids would love cores to be removed otherwise there will be no clan and I already don't play and had no cores last week after infusing my event gear so I could do the last triumphs and run a raid took me 50 because i had to pull out couple exotics that synergized with the bounties. System is broken.
-
Taking them away from infusion would make the community happier and maybe we would actually be able to master work a set of armor and weapons without having the impactful feeling that we are wasting them.
-
2 RepliesNothing. If they just use the same system that was in d1, it'll work out. It was fine to begin with, so dont fix it.

Edited by Sinisis: 4/27/2019 12:37:45 AMA GIANT ego would be bruised! Whoever at the top is fighting against the move to remove enhancement chores must have the biggest ego in the world at this point. Nearly everyone agrees they should only be used for masterworks and removed from infusion. Smh

4 RepliesIf removed we'd be able to play the game with whatever loadout tickled our fancy on a given day. We'd be able to arbitrarily switch weapons and armor to see what best suits our needs or playstyle. And most importantly Bungie would no longer be able to force us into mindless grinds in an attempt to distract us from realizing we're basically back to year one in terms of how they're handling things.

Bungie’s “Enhancement Engagement Team’ would throw all their toys out of the pram, decide their lives have been devalued by the decision & cry so many tears, a lifeboat will have to be sent in to rescue them from the saline tsunami!

8 RepliesEdited by Fishyb: 4/26/2019 11:17:43 AMNew players on destiny 2. Starts campaign and has a good time, encounters other players in patrol and enjoys pub events. Sees monster end level guardians running around vaporising everything in sight and thinks it will be cool to be like that soon. Completes campaign and opens up the end game stuff. Goes to infuse their favourite weapon and the game asks for some obscure orange crystals they’ve never seen before and have no idea how to get. Turns game off and never returns.

13 RepliesIt would hurt the "hardcore" players pride as they feel they are entitled to being maxed level in this broken progression system. Lets all remember that the middle ground dedicated players are the big reason Destiny 1 survived. There were hardcore and casuals but the middle ground people who player alot and were maxed level and kept coming back were the real reason the game survived.
-
Nothing bad would come of it. The annoying grind would go away. They need to make infusion like in was in Year 3 of D1, when we were able to infuse armor from different classes.
-
None. They're being stubborn.
-
Nothing bad at all!!! The end.
-
Bravo😎😁😌

We will finally be able to consistently master work gear again?
-
17 RepliesWould it hurt for you to play the game? 21 cores a week for 6 hours or less of play. If you can’t play six hours maybe destiny isn’t for you.
-
1 ReplyPlay time. The less you play the less likely you will purchase silver to get elusive items.
-
Players would have more fun with destiny? Honestly idk, you tubers always complain that they don’t have much to do in destiny and that destiny is dry. Bungie adds a crazy amount of grind and now they are complaining its too much, I just want to play destiny without doing a crazy amount of grind. I much rather shoot my weapon than look at my radar looking for materials or farming for annoying cores
-
Edited by Jeppe_I: 4/27/2019 9:14:02 PMIt would make infusion less impactful and therefore cannot be done. Infusing with cores gives my life meaning.

I had 380 cores before this season. I now have 345 or so after getting all 3 characters to 700 - still need a few pieces of armour for alternative setups. The problem is those likely wont be replaced as I have no reason to play other than to get to max power this season - Gambit Prime is ok, but "ok" doesnt cut it as an incentive to keep playing, and I have the pinnacle weapon for it. The armour doesnt interest me (outside of the weekly helm bounty for infusion purposes), and Reckoning is not that fun in my opinion, especially after repeated playthroughs. I just want them for masterworking only, like they used to be. I'd likely have masterworked all my armour and weapons by now if that was all it was used for, but I cba as I know I'll need them for "levelling". Its an obvious way to time gate content, and feels shitty as a result.
-
Edited by Kanashimi510: 4/27/2019 5:15:51 PMA realization by a lot more players that content is running dry. That's probably the only reason at all, honestly. If bungie could pour on the content and give incentives to continue to grind, such as more loot, they wouldn't need cores tied to infusion costs. For a looter shooter, we don't have much to actually chase down in terms of armor/weapons. I have 3 level 700 characters, a small pile of cores and I have yet to see any meaningful impact they have had on the game that isn't a negative one.
-
3 RepliesI think when you login to destiny for the first time, you should instantly be awarded every item in the game at max power and every triumph completed.
-
3 RepliesThe question would be the other way around too. If removed it would greatly reduce the grind which means it would affect those who spend more hours(hardcore). It would also be quick for the avg. The only thing I see it helping would be for the Casuals since normally they dont put much time into the game. For avg and hard core we would simply breeze though. Doesn't really seem like a good trade off. I rather they improve the system to benefit all 3 groups then just the one. Remember vanilla d2 was build in the idea for casuals and look what happen. Bungie made the right choice.
