If creating new gear/ornaments takes as much time/resources as Bungie claims, then why would you make a cool ornament only to take it away completely after only three weeks?!? It’s not like our spam-happy grenades come straight out of these antlers and need to go away. Why Bungie, whyyyyyyyy???

1 ReplyBecause they are morons. Another dumb decision by them per usual.
-
2 RepliesAt the very least they could give us a reason. It's their game, their decision, and while it makes absolutely NO sense, it would be nice to hear why they think it should be temporary. Seriously though... it makes NO sense.

3 RepliesEdited by Jinx: 4/28/2019 4:26:00 AMI wanted my flaming wolf mask to be turned into an actual helmet, bungie refused to do it because they felt people having fun and enjoying their gameplay would interfere with the boring monotony of the ethos. All I wanted for festival of the cost was my howling wolf emote back..... I miss it so much... It was my favorite thing in the world to howl at the beginning of every match and occasionally after a truly brutal kill. But no. I was denied in favor of shit emotes for festival of the cost and no flamy wolfmask this time.... I miss my wolfy mask and howl emote... It was also neat how if you used the howl emote while wearing the mask it would change color.... Nobody ever commented on it but it does and I thought it was cool... Bungie just hates the idea of people having fun so the idea of people keeping the antler ornaments and having fun with them after the event is over and such is verboten. VERBOTEN I SAY...

Same thing with the sled sparrow from one of the previous events. The bonuses it got were not available to be used after the event
-
You see it's to give us a free hit then take them away and shove them in Eververse

This topic has appeared must be like 4 times now or something and bungie only answered once with a no. Must be over 600 upvoters total by now and bungie does not even reply after the first one, bungie is just like na we will sell them back to you later. I mean getting players to grind for a reward that is right on the front cover for the event with huge pictures and the drop rate is crazy low SO YOU CAN KEEP IT FOR 5 MINUTES, seems fair right? HAHAHA BUNGIE YOU REALY ARE THE WOSRT DEV. SURE TRY AND SELL THEM BACK SEE HOW HAPPY PEOPLE WILL BE. Bungies official reply is it would take too long to fix and the event would be over HAHA, THEY FIX MAJOR BUGS OVERNIGHT AND CANNOT CHANGE THE ORINIMENT TO BE PERMINANT, WHAT BS. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/251846069?page=0&sort=0&showBanned=0&path=0

2 RepliesThis is a post I made earlier. Just too lazy to retype it. In a game with limited content I find it perplexing why they keep removing content. Faction vendors: gone. Planetary vendors: still there but nut updated with random rolls (whaaaat?). Eververse has three complete sets of armor and weapon skins every season that just get thrown away at seasons end (whyyyyyyy???) they are random rolled and just as rare as exotics! Solstice armor: jump through massive hoops to get them done and enjoy them for maybe a week before obsolete.....thanks? Escalation Protocol: was an end game activity. Now it’s something to cancel public events with because it sure isn’t for the sweet gear without rolls. Raids: Several raids without updated rolls on gear.... that’ll keep us coming back. Trials: okay. For this one I accept I was never good enough to get anything from it. But for the masses of people who were, they can’t wear or use their stuff because it too got left behind. And now this.... Look Bungie, I play a lot. Like as in “kids are raising themselves, wearing a Catheter while I play” a lot. But even I am fizzling out. These decisions are a bit baffling. If making content is hard, your words not mine, then why on God’s green Earth do you keep removing it?🤔 please stop taking away “loot” from a “loot game”. Edit: added Escalation Protocol

Dont worry, with their absolutely terrible coding skills, I'm sure a glitch will be discovered that allows them to be worn all year.
-
Because we cant have nice things.
-
7 RepliesIf I remember right, Cozmo or dmg04 said that the ornaments are coded to work with the Tonic buffs or something and would take time to separate.
-
1 Replythey are ugly make better ornaments and then keep them
-
My guess is that they'll want to sell them in Eververse for Silver later...
-
1 ReplyBecause scarcity is proportional to value.
-
8 RepliesBecause making the rewards you grind for short lived and temporary makes them meaningful and impactful.
....it really doesn't, but somebody needs to explain this to bungie. They seem to think that we love to grind for rewards that completely disappear or are made irrelevant almost as soon as you can acquire them.
-
2 RepliesBecause, and i quote. ‘It will require play testing’ 🤔🤔🤔 You know, incase the ornaments are game breaking
-
Because Bungie
-
2 RepliesWhy is life temporary?
-
1 ReplyI'm sure they think that making them temporary will add meaningfulness and impact to the event.
-
Bungie: to give you impactful decisions....
-
It's motivating.

It makes no sense to disable them after the event. Absolutely pointless. Especially sense they're obtained by RNG. Some people will barely get to use them and some people not at all. Absurd. Let us use them year round!
