Just curious
Edit: It was pointed out to me that I should be more specific. I mean enhancement cores removed from infusion, not everything
Edit 2: just wanted to clarify, I am not for enhancement cores being removed from infusion. I really don’t care, I have plenty enough for my needs. I was just curious how many people were like me, and how many people really wanted them removed

Ultimately, I would like to see them removed from infusion, but it's not a perfect world. I mean, at the very least, if they can't/won't remove cores from infusion, just make the core requirement 1 single core, instead of 2-3. However, with that being said, I would also like to see more sources of Enhancement cores. Hell, make some interesting quests where the reward is let's say, 10-15 cores. Like how Petra has daily bounties and then she has pursuits. Make quests like that, where as some offer powerful gear (like the ones she has) and make some where they reward Enhancement cores. Create more activities that reward cores, and increase the difficulty to receive more cores upon completion. I am a person who spends my cores as I get them and I do not save them, but I come across enough to fully masterwork all the weapons I currently use in my load-outs. When i want cores, I go find them. I grind every possible outlet I have that rewards legendary gear, and if it's not something I will use, I dismantle everything. By dismantling, scrapper bounties, Spider bounties, utilizing finest matterweave when they come around, I am finding plenty of cores to fully masterwork the weapons I want. Only reason I haven't started masterworking armor is because I haven't found pieces with the rolls that fit me. But as far as infusion goes, I would like to see them removed, and again, if not, reduced to one single core at the very least for every item you infuse.

I'd be ok with them lowering Masterwork costs as that's my biggest problem at the moment. Infusion is ok but the Masterwork amount is what kills me.
-
2 RepliesYes, especially if the weapon or armor is completely masterworked.

11 Replies1247 voted yes. WOW. Look at this Bungie!

Edited by Miniatimat: 4/9/2019 3:26:24 PMNo, but lower it to 1 core. That would probably solve many issues, since getting 1 core is easier than whatever is now. Also, infuse smartly, don't infuse a 1 power difference. That is just a waste. I just get to max power, maybe infusing some guns along the way, then begin the real infusion with the cores I earned while leveling up and all up to max. Not much pointless infusion

21 RepliesFunny how this wasn’t a big issue until just a few weeks ago. Even though nothing has really changed since the change to masterwork to enhancement
-
They will cave eventually, keep going guys
-
1 ReplyWell considering that we have potentially an unlimited amount of opportunities every single day to get Masterwork Cores, I'd have to say no. But I also don't care.
-
I don’t actually have a problem with Enhancement Cores it’s Glimmer I’m always short of.
-
1 2 3 4 enhancement cores will be no more
-
no. i want to see a complete rework of master working and powerlevel gains. the system now feels so dull. removing cores from enhancement wont change that. willl still be dull and unexciting if they are removed.

Using limited resources, that you can't regularly farm, as materials you need to progress is a BAD idea. I don't like being kept from using gear I want to use.
-
4 RepliesThe answer to this is simple If you can make an argument for cores to cost anything at all. There's the reason cores should stay If you're reasoning for why cores should go and let's say planetary materials should stay is: They're easier to farm and acquire. You've created 2 more issues. 1. That's the same argument the guy who posts a screenshot of his 777 cores. 2. That's an admission that it's not the cores themselves but rather their availability which has been addressed and will be changed... Eventually

21 RepliesI'm curious as to what percentage of all the Destiny players you think this poll, or these frustrated sentiments about cores, represent. The vast majority of players just play the game, deal with cores, and probably have no idea this is even an issue. What do you think?
-
I had about 650 cores saved up before season of the drifter, down to 282 now. This is even after doing every spider bounty and scrapper bounties plus from 8000 materials spent at Brother Vance. 1/2 + were spent on what they were supposed to have been used for: masterwork weapons and armor. The other 1/2 on infusion of gear up to the 700 power level of my 3 characters. I will be okay on cores but the majority did not have as many as I did saved up.
-
2 RepliesI don’t have a problem with cores, but that’s because of a workaround with Vance and my clan. But it shouldn’t be this way. Being used for masterworking and infusion is just overkill. If they’re to be used for any sort infusion, I can see for exotics but that’s it. Infusion already costs enough as it is.

3 RepliesEdited by Raevenent: 4/9/2019 12:22:45 PMIt was fine before without cores being in infusion, why "fix" it by adding cores? It only creates problems, if people are leaving because of them, especially newer players, that is a problem that can't be overlooked, and one that can't happen in D3, AT ALL. Infusion has, and always has been, for the past 5(Technically 4, 5 if we want to include HoW cause that was when infusion was in it's infancy) years, nothing but a means of basic progression. Change them back to masterwork cores, and rework the masterwork system upon once reaching Tier 10 on weapons, or Tier 5 for armor, to change what attribute it is, I.E, handling to stability, recovery to mobility, etc. We can say that it's fine as is then tell me, why is it when a new content drop, increasing our power level, we go through this time and time again? The forums being littered with the "remove cores from infusion" posts. I've been saying this is going to be a problem as far back as black armory, apparently I'm the crazy one. Why was Reddit up in arms in agreeance with the forums here? An issue literally playing out as I've foreseen. How? If shit looks like it's going to hit the fan, 9/10, it's going to hit the fan. It's not rocket science.

I have no problems getting them, but I can see where it can be a serious issue for those starting out. If they are happy with the current numbers or less, they can keep them in.
-
Not bothered
-
I don’t have a problem with them just have more sources I had 75 the other day

3 RepliesLook we can bitch and moan about this till the earth implodes but the fact of the matter is Bungie could not give a shit about what their community wants so we may as well just accept it or like people say go play another game!
-
1 Replyi dont care, have a lot, no need for them because no advantage for masterworked stuff...they are useless
-
1 ReplyDo yourself a favor and just remove Destiny 2 from your PC/Xbox/PS and find a new game.

have all the weapons i want masterworked, dont care much about the armor. i have 154 cores left. i really dont know what to do with them until my characters are all 700. i have 3 power builds on my Hunter all running 10 Res over Arc, Solar, and Void (PVE) 18 "stacks" that was fun to get the armor i want to sync with the weapons i use. - they dont belong in infusion they should give you the ability to enhance your weapons - such as RE ROLL THEM!
