Go get your Luna’s it’s easier than ever
The reason you don’t have Luna right now is probably confidence. Fear of the comp playlist and other Luna/nf users. This has by far been the easiest season of comp up to 2100. Go for it.
Get of the nerf bandwagon and jump into comp. earn your gun I believe in you.
If you are struggling slow play it. Find friends to do it together take advantage of the 120 points on reset. Earning Luna’s was the best feeling I ever achieved in D2. You can earn it too. I’m only avg in crucible I’m no god. You can do this

22 RepliesWhat utter nonsense! Comp is... 1. 1 x step forward, then, mysteriously, always 2x steps back. This is not a coincidence. It happens all the time. 2. Not Fun - no matter which way one looks at it. Getting stomped continually by stacked teams sporting NotFs / DRBs / Lunas / Telesto / Wavesplitters / Jotunn / Wardcliffs / etc. - whose coordinated movements at 78rpm vs. Mine at 33rpm - around the map, and around their targets, is akin to an angry bunch of wasps bent on mischief. We can’t compete, we’re merely cannon fodder. 3. Dying to impossible shots from ‘invisible’ opponents that ‘appear’ seconds after I’m slotted; shot through walls / rocks, shot around corners, etc. 4. My weapons seem to fire party streamers and popcorn- even at virtual point-blank ranges - sometimes; even though the opponents’ same weapons can map me with a single round?!? 5. My armour appears to be tissue-wrap, and y’all know how that one works. 6. The whole ‘feel’ of Comp - seems ‘rigged’. 7. Penalised when teammates bounce and leave us in the lurch...facing an instant loss - happens a lot. In some matches, only two of us stood firm. 8. Penalised at every turn despite my best efforts to try remain positive. I, like a dwindling number of other Solo/Casual players have grinded our way to this last step...like the ‘tortoises’ we are, so it is not a matter of a lack of confidence- as the OP opines, no - it’s more a matter that the whole issue of Comp is not a fun place to be, given the a/m reasons - and more, outlined above. Solutions: A. Anyone who has Luna is automatically moved into a separate playlist- with other Luna players, so they can grind on or not, for NotF / Mountaintop, as desired. B. No penalty for losing. C. No penalty if teammate(s) bounce before the game is completed; although a penalty should be applied to players that do that more than once whilst logged-on or within the space of 3 hours, whichever applies. D. No loss of points / rank achieved - even at Season Change. It’s that simple! It’d be a win:win for all players...and just see how quickly PvP would become repopulated by the majority of absentee players - who just want a bit of fun, and, a chance to gain pinnacle PvP weapons, in a fair fight! The people who complain about Luna’s/NF are the ones who will get consistently outgunned by anything else too. There’s always [u]something[/u] to complain about apparently.

Got my luna and recluse in March. I was in a constant state of wanting to die but it felt good to get it done. Working on mountaintop now but my god I'm really bad with grenade launchers.

I somehow ended up in the 3200 territory last season when trying to get Luna’s and my god was that a shitty place.

I actually hit 2100 before even finishing the second step of the Luna quest. Now I just have to grind out the rest of it. Haha.

What will the crybabies cry about next? we all know something else will be the meta and they will get rekt by that it’s not the gun that’s OP guys. had to play nothing but sweat stacks on PC by myself to get it, why the -blam!- should people like them ruin it?

I get kicked out from competitive and can‘t get in [b][i][u]D2![/u][/i][/b] and... [b][i][u]IT‘S NOT BECAUSE I HAVE LOW CONNECTIONS ITS BECAUSE OF THOSE FÛCKING SERVERS OR WHATEVER THEY USE![/u][/i][/b] and literally in every match someone leaves and I think it’s because of the same reason! I totally agree. I play solo and got luna last season and it was haaaard. But this season I kept it slow and casual and reached 2000 last night (going to wait for reset). The games were less sweaty, I didn't see a lot of NF's and only needed dodging 4 man fireteams in the 1500+ range. Reaching fabled this season is completely doable. I am a 0.9 kd scrub who doesn't use the meta. Erentil and thorn/vigilance wing are my weapons of choice ( although I did use spectral instead of top tree nightstalker this season). If I can do it anyone can! Comp isn't that hardcore as everyone makes is out to be. To be honest I enjoy comp more than quickplay....QP is sweaty as hell atm.

Im already above 2100 i think But like..I have a disdain for handcannons rn so I'll probably get it wayyyyyy down the line But hey, got my recluse, only need two more Valor resets for redrix [spoiler]screw the mountain top grenade launchers have an annoying learning curve[/spoiler] And I'm slowly but surely making progress for lunas Season 6 is a good season for me 💪

I have to agree. I was pretty torn up from dropping to 600 from 1900 last week, but am now floating between 2400-2700 for the first time ever. Finally got Luna’s. I only solo and have found that in the last week even before getting LH comp definitely seemed to have gotten easier. Also, going up against 4 stacks isn’t always that bad. They usually have one or two not great players you can prey on. Conversely the team of randoms usually has one or two great players, so as long as you do your part and play well you can win.

1 ReplyI've been taking my time with this quest since it first dropped. I'm at the 100 headshot kills. 13 into it and still just pacing it. It will be mine. You'll know when I get it, that week it'll be nerf'd. Don't worry, I'm taking my time.

Finally managed to get mine tonight after a big points set back yesterday. I was chuffed to bits to be honest. Now I just need to get good with it.

Occasionally you run into a 4 stack that 100% steamrolls you, but you get back up and keep your cool and keep moving forward. I went from 1500 to 2500 in a few hours solo queue last night
