So I'm sure we're all aware of it, but it was recently announced by 343 that Halo Reach is coming to the master chief collection and the master chief collection is also coming to PC as well... meaning... that if the old reach days are anything to go by... then destiny 2 might actually die to halo reach itself...
Bungies previous creation (albeit one of the greatest halo games ever made) that had a perfect multiplayer, a horde mode you could customize, an excellent story and a way to create your own game modes and maps is going to be the death of a game series they're still trying to repair.
Now look, obviously there's going to be people who'll disagree but the halo reach days are about to make a triumphant return, and since it'll be on xbox one and PC that'll take a major chunk out of the playerbase. Ps4 will probably still be vibrant but the servers aren't very stable so i can't imagine that matters.
Still, I'm very happy that 343 is doing this and i'm very sad that bungie might lose to their previous creation.

Yep i only play this game for pvp but since mcc got announced i left my clan and signed up for the early access stuff last halo i played was 3 on 360 and got to major grade 3 ive been begging for mcc on pc since xbox started releasing their games on pc. Between the campaigns the forge in 3 and ranked modes whats the point to even play this now i suspect a lot of pc players will leave except for the people cheesing these broken weapons this game will be a ghost town

2 RepliesEdited by mja calg: 3/17/2019 10:08:59 PMNope -Bungie will kill Destiny. Written in the stars.. PS: Halo Reach was a great campaign and I would be very glad to have an 4K (+/- HDR) version of it in my MCC campaign, but it's a linear story line. You really can't compare it to Destiny.
-
1 ReplyI hope people stop playing garbage to play a superior game. Also, MCC is coming to PC, so it wouldn't be a big surprise if destiny 2 PC took a hit. Reach > Destiny 2, any day.
-
Reach was great, i won my copy in a radio competition when it came out
-
No thanks.
-
I enjoyed halo reach, would I play it again on pc? Nope.
-
2 Repliesi can't tell if you are trolling? Yeah I loved reach it's a great game with its Custom Games and Multiplayer, but it is so old that it won't come back and kill a game.
-
1 ReplyNah. Destiny 2 already killed Destiny 2.
-
Yeah, I don't think it's going to die because some people are gluttons for punishment but I'm looking forward to MCC on PC. I have it on XBone and it's good; the population is low but the games are good. I've played Halo since CE, so I'll play anything, they just have to stay away from whatever Halo 4 & 5 are moving forward because they suck. That being said, Reach is going to draw in the Apex Legends crowd for sure; allot of the big streamers got their start on Halo, so that's also good. Should be fun.

4 RepliesI was a loyal destiny player until the division 2. Hopefully Bungie can learn from Ubisoft. Can’t believe I’m even saying that, but it is what it is.
-
All they have to do is either remove, fix, or rework armor lock and I’m sold

2 RepliesDestiny can't die. Curse of Osiris proved that.

Edited by John: 3/18/2019 3:15:27 PMD2 came out in September 6, 2017 the amount of problems and inconsistencies, bad choices and atm lack of interesting stuff to do in D2 killed this game the only thing keeping it up it's us the players who love this game and still hope for better days, that said my money for the anual pass is now safely waiting for MCC. I don't have that itch to get to D2 like anymore, its uninteresting atm, the new gambit stuff is meh at best( trying to recovery a game mode that is uninteresting, repetitive and flat in player loot rewards) when you think that we need new more maps for pvp, a better matchmaking system, dedicated servers, more story more content in a real expansions(not this crappy dlc shoved in our faces titled Anual Pass) we need "old" loot not to be 100% irrelevant, loose quests that force player on PVP, enhencment cores for infusion is still a thing, i could go on forever my point is D2 is boring, repetitive plain flat(atm at least). Clans have troubles in maintaining a high number of active player due to this game becoming boring from the lack of significant game improvements. Clans with 80 player with 10 year accounts on bungie are drooping d2 from boredom this is bad... Come in on Tuesday do the same boring shit every week turn D2 off until Tuesday... At this point is safe to says that only bungie or D3 can kill D2.

[As a franchise, destiny doesn’t know how to die. People have said xyz game will kill destiny/destiny2 for a really long time. At this point it’s a sounds broken record.]

4 RepliesAnthem already killed Destiny though. Surely you're one of the smart people that pre-ordered Anthem...

7 RepliesEdited by GrundleBeans: 3/17/2019 10:00:10 PMOkay, for one, wtf do you think you're doing coming here saying you're happy about another game killing this one? Why would you support that? Secondly, PC is the smallest population for D2 and 343 announced only a PC edition of games we've all played (some disliked) for a few decades already. Not a lot is going to move there and not for too long. We might lose some PC players and a few consolers, but permanently? And would that have much of any impact on Destiny? I doubt it. Don't forget most people play more than one game at a time... None of these "[insert other game] is going to kill Destiny" have ever or will ever be true. The ONLY thing that can kill Destiny is Bungie itself.

5 RepliesYou spelt fortnite wrong.
-
1 ReplyHmmm, Ironic? Nope, never heard of it lol
-
halo reach remastered... anyone. ok.. I'll show myself out
-
4 RepliesIt won’t even come close to killing it. The only game that can kill Destiny 2 is Destiny 3
-
10 RepliesMeanwhile, in reality, a few thousand people play a rehashed, ten year old game for a few days, & all other games on the market are left majorly unaffected.
-
Imagine if Bungie kills Destiny with a game they made years ago
-
2 RepliesMorons don’t realize Destiny already killed itself with the launch of D2 yet ITS STILL HERE.
-
Don’t get me wrong, I like Reach. But it’s not the new Destiny Killer. The campaign was fun for a playthrough or two. Firefight was okay for killing some time, but I think there are still much better Horde modes out there. Multiplayer is up to taste, a lot of Halo Fans didn’t like the Reach additions. The only thing that really stands out to me is the Forge mode and custom games, but I’m sure it wouldn’t bring anything new to the table, there’s only so much you can do

5 RepliesDoes halo have shitty rng? I've never played halo. 'cause i'm getting REALLY sick and tired of these feels bad moments with this stupid rng. why not make games FUN. doing the stupid reckoning over and over and over to just get dup after dup after dup. so there i go, like an idiot, doing stupid chore after stupid chore to get a stupid synth for a chance to even play the reckoning to just get another dup. I will never get a freakin' helmet. EVER. so is halo actually FUN? 'cause this garbage sure isn't.
