Bungie - ” Until we have a solid prototype for a pinnacle PvP endgame activity, Trials is staying on hiatus indefinitely and will not return over the course of the next few seasons. When we have those new plans ready, we’ll be sure to share them with you.”

Good. Trials typically was just a shitshow of meta's and serious imbalancing. We all know how Trails of The Nine went with Mida Multi Tool. I can imagine the next one would just be hunters running Luna and not forgotten.

100 RepliesEdited by Trash Boat: 2/17/2019 1:41:51 PMHonestly, good riddance. Trials has always been a breeding ground for toxicity and since it disappeared, the only whining I hear is, of course, from comp players. The less PvP the better. Quick edit because a lot of you seem incredibly triggered by “this PvE player talking shit”. I’ve played plenty of PvP. Odds are, I’m better than you. This game’s PvP is just trash. Also, someone pointed out that a good majority is QP players whining about the Luna/NF sweats they run into. So I stand corrected there. Update: I love how angry the man children on these forums are. “You’re an idiot” is the extent of most of the comments disagreeing with me. No valid argument. Just straight up name calling like we’re 6 years old. It’s kind of sad.

Trials is toxic

22 RepliesToxic or not, trials kept players in the game. This game WILL die if trials is not brought back soon. Once Anthem and Division are out I will hardly play this game. If bungie wants players to play their game, trials is a big way to get pvp player back into it.

2 RepliesFinally!! They came out and said it. I QUIT

3 RepliesBungie just lost at least another 30% of players watch

Perfect. Good riddance. Now start focusing on making pve better.

6 RepliesI think they made the right move. Trials and Crucible in general needs a looking at.

Good riddance.

It's those evil, greedy suits at Activision that are forcing Bungie to do this. Oh, wait...

Edited by Stromite: 2/16/2019 12:42:00 AMFor those grieving for the loss of Trials, here’s how to simulate the D2 Trials Shotgun Meta experience in your own bedroom, without even having to go online! Simply place 8 bullfrogs in a plastic bag and drop in two firecrackers. Voila - Viable! No lag or matchmaking issues! As endorsed by Cammycakes* *may not actually be endorsed by Cammycakes

3 RepliesI am all for bringing Trials back, but it needs a proper platform to stand on first. Nothing about Crucible is truly "competitive" right now, and that's what Trials is based around. Warlocks in general are underpowered in Crucible. Luna and NF are simply too good and put almost every other primary to shame (NOTE: they are NOT crutches, as they don't help bad players and hinder good players: they make bad players good and good players better). Shotguns dominate because there are too many close-quarters maps with too much cover, and not enough open spaces or long sightlines. SMGs and high-rof HCs are still in need of serious buffs. Cheaters are rampant in the Competive playlist right now, and they would only be worse in Trials. As long as account recoveries and paid carries are a thing then there will never be a truly competitive spirit to the mode (THE most important part of any competitive activity, real or virtual). Crucible is just not in a competitive state right now, and bringing Trials back now would only result in the same problems D1 Trials experienced. Until things are balanced out more and more varied maps are introduced, Trials should remain on the back burner. Let the more pressing matters be solved first.

3 RepliesGood. Remove PvP while you’re at it.

4 RepliesIt's unfortunate but what are ya gonna do? I'm just gonna keep grinding crucible because it's fun. Honestly I don't understand when pve garbage kids cry in happiness it's gone for now. It's a gametype you're not forced to play. We acknowledge you're bad at PvP but no one is forcing you to play. Go do a patrol or something.

I played Destiny for ToO and was eagerly awaiting an announcement for it coming back. I regret buying the annual pass now. RIP Trials.

Good riddance...

3 RepliesPvP is the only reason I play destiny honestly. But not specifically trials. But this game drives PvP players away. Thankfully there are good options now. But pve I have always found really repetitive and not that fun. I might try to get lu as this weekend and then finally put time into some apex and I like the little I’ve played so far. But no new crucible maps. No vendor refreshes. No trials. Iron banner is now lackluster. Comp crucible is an unpleasant cluster-f. Quickplay is now full of all the comp guns makin quickplay far less than fun (but better than comp and no countdown). But as a PvP player there is little for me anymore.
