With the impending release of Division 2, it's been revealed that their PvP mode will have preset readouts using standardized weapon sets. Perhaps it's time for Destiny to adopt a similar model. Now, I'm not saying that all of the crucible needs to be standardized, but a standard playlist that restrict players to certain weapons and armor might be a good idea. Make it it's own playlist with it's own comp mode, give players who aren't fans of the chaos that comes with custom loadouts an alternative.

Instead of a class system like COD think maybe an LTM like Fortnite Like close quarters ,Side arms and shotguns Snipers only mode Rockets only Grenades only Seriously these Party modes would be awesome
-
Nah i think its finally time to drop pvp altogether
-
They need to do something like this. I see alot of people asking for it. And to not do so will lose them player base and business when division comes out. Curse of osiris dlc is a standing testament to people leaving and not returning. Company needs money to keep going. If the player base goes away with anthem and divisions release

1 ReplyMaybe time to remove PvP or to sell it as a separate game?
-
Yes, they should add this mode
-
6 RepliesRemove PvP from Destiny completely. That way, streamers (who should get real jobs) and tryhard no-life gamers will be removed from the equation.
-
4 RepliesI vote for PvP removal and replace it with SRL. Also, bring back the horns. Who asked for them to be removed in the first place?
-
I think it should be a current playlist but not a replacement. Or if you want custom load outs go into comp something of that sort. but I agree a set loadout may make PvP in destiny easier to balance and a lot more fun. And you can still have playlists where you can rock your own loadouts to

4 RepliesGive the response to double primaries I think not.

2 RepliesNo. It’s a loot based game, it’s important for players to be able to use their loot and customize their loadouts. That’s a very important part of the design intent of this sort of game (one that it’s not doing well on because of how narrow the meta is and how bad the game balance picture is overall). The issues are that random rolls aren’t healthy for any kind of environment (they never were, and they aren’t good for long-term health either. It’s a bad solution to trying to extend the late-game grind and loot chase), but the biggest issue is the most basic one: the quality of balance across the game is in a bad spot. It was weak at launch Day 1 Year 1, and it hasn’t really improved; if anything whatever little progress was made got a lot worse, particularly when the 2.0 patch hit with the weapon system and other changes to prepare for Forsaken. Without the fundamental components of balance being fixed or at least improved significantly, there’s no point in even considering a “Curated loadout PvP” let’s call it, because it wouldn’t address or resolve any of the real underlying issues or problems, it would just skate around the general meta and have a meta of its own based on which loadout happened to line up best with the state of imbalance. But again, I don’t think such a mode is really inspired for this sort of game, even if the game were in a state where it could work.

4 RepliesMaybe Destiny isn’t the game for you. Not even trying to be snarky, but why keep trying to make Destiny into a game it isn’t? They tried toning down the game for the sake of balance when D2 launched and it sucked. It didn’t have what made Destiny into Destiny. If you want locked loadouts there are plenty of other shooters that do that.

2 RepliesA standardized gamemode in the rotating playlist might be nice, but definitely not permanently.
-
thats a much better idea for competitive then removing the radar
-
1 ReplyWhy play a looter shooter if you want standard gear?
-
1 ReplyI’ve said similar before. Pvp and pve need different gear/weapon limitations. That would end all the buffing/nerfing. If it’s designed for pve, lock it out of pvp, and visa versa. Simple.
-
2 RepliesPvP all around shouldn't be standardized but I wouldn't mind a mode in which that was the case.
-
1 ReplyI like this idea, I’ve always wanted it. Problems with incentive and loot arise though.
-
3 Repliesever heard of halo? it’s pretty good
-
7 RepliesI’d just rather have a Light-less game mode. No abilities at all. Just guns.
-
1 ReplyMaybe on a rotating mode. I’d skip it, though. Why would I grind for hours upon hours to not be able to use the guns I’ve earned where it matters?
-
3 RepliesSo take away all complexity of builds and have the stock car racing of fps games? Nah go play CoD.
-
I would like to see a ENTIRELY DIFFRENT game mode sorta like halo multiplayer where it relies heavily on map control, everyone spawns with same guns and stats but you can pick up different guns. With that being said I don’t want it to be a cookie cutter model call of duty where it’s super stale.
-
Really. Destiny pvp should be it’s own game. If they were smart they would sell destiny pvp separately. Then everyone would be happy. Balance could be separated. Loot and progression totally different in pvp game. Two games!!! Wow. They should hire me.
-
1 ReplyUnfortunately it'd never work for somthing like destiny. Besides we pretty much had that with vanilla d2 static rolled weapons and bungie proved they still couldn't do balances.
-
4 RepliesHave you not played iron banner? Preset loadouts everywhere.... Dust rock blues Lunas howl/Not forgotten Wardcliff coil
-
2 RepliesI thought we allready had that. The only things i ever see are hand cannons and shotguns
