Fn hand cannons need nerfed. 200 yard 2 hit kill. Shotguns thru walls. Who runs this shit?! Screw Iron Bonner. So tired of catering to the hand cannon userz. Have any of you wanks ever shot a real weapon? Revolvers are accurate to about 35 yards and dont carry a steamroller worth of impact. And honest to god the next time an wanker with a shotgun runs thru my barrage of auto rifle rounds to the head just to one shot me at 50 ft I am throwing this shit in the trash!!

A 12 gauge slug is one of the most high inertia rounds available to typical citizens without special permits for more exotic firearms. What they lack in velocity they over compensate for by having very high mass. A 12 gauge slug, while only reliably accurate to about 35 yards, is effective for bringing down large game up to 100 yards, depending in the performance affecting parameters of the weapon and the saboted slug shell itself. A typical 12 gauge slug will cause much more extensive damage to body tissues than a typical high velocity hunting rifle round. They are also notoriously hard to stop. While a high velocity rifle round will typically fragment as well as tumble once it enters tissue, mostly due to the extreme velocity relative to mass, which does funny physics when it hits tissue, a 12 gauge slug will just keep going, with little initial fragmentation and little change in trajectory. It would pop your head like a cherry tomato, do the same to the next guys head, pass through a couple of your homes drywall layers and punch a giant hole in the chest of the third victim, while he was just looking in the fridge for a snack. Regular 12 gauge 0/0 buckshot is lethal to humans at 50 feet as well. Quite easily. It also has mucho stopping power. Large caliber hand guns are all very deadly at D2 map distances, though that doesn’t imply accurate at those furthest distances. It’s actually fairly consistent with reality that D2 Hand cannons have bloom when fired rapidly. It would be much less real if they had no bloom when fired rapidly. That being said, it’s a game, not a combat simulator. Bloom is a joke, and poorly done imo.

The sweats and trytards tend to stick to quickplay due to getting butthurt by people of the same skill set as them.

You're using Telesto...

It’s been trash. It gets worse every year.

46 RepliesEdited by OxygenSR3: 12/29/2018 9:33:36 PMHandcannons need a nerf? HA! Somebody come finds this kids tard wrangler. There are two handcannons that are consistently strong in pvp right now. And both of them are pinnacle weapons. If anything handcannons need a buff because bloom keeps handcannons that aren’t 180rpm from competing when they’re also getting flinched to hell. I’m tired of this “I got shit on so it needs to be nerfed” mentality. Stop crying about it and earn the weapon yourself. Or stay in pve where you belong.

14 RepliesI see your PVP is trash and raise you a gambit

Is this bait?

Even the highest range handcannons start losing effectiveness at around 40-50 meters.

Edited by TwigTwig: 12/31/2018 5:14:09 PMBlame the crappy map design. Near everything is close quarters.

Map design is *THE* biggest problem in this game right now... I don't mind shotguns, but maps are very very stale right now
-
Connection issues , poor hit detection at times, easy to use weapons, boat load of special ammo, poor weapon balancing same old same old. If they didnt make the time to kill so slow d2 at the beginning might of been ok since it took a bit more skill then just firing gernades rockets etc.

3 RepliesOr it may just be you that sucks

1 ReplyTolesto. End of story and it will stop this madness

The maps are the biggest problem. All of them are just close combat with hallways and turns everywhere. Theres barely a couple of places where you can use anything else if you wanna get a kill...

1 ReplyEdited by Killmonger: 12/30/2018 9:01:20 PMBlade Barrage is annoying as hell unless you have bannershield it can’t be countered. At least with FOH you could assume a titan running at you was probably gonna use slam but BB nope. People complain about nova warp but that super is just as bad. Luna, dust rock, wardcliff and blade barrage/nova warp. I’m starting to thing some titans have switched to hunters and warlocks. Sandbox teams needs to be fired they don’t know how to make crucible good without the majority of the player base using the same weapons. 1. Buff Titan supers if you won’t nerf BB range or Nova warp 2. Make the damn maps bigger 3. Buff other weapon archetype to be as effective as handcannons especially auto rifles and not by 0.1%. 4. Stop taking months to push out sandbox changes.

1 ReplyI'm a day one D1 player of PVP and PVE and to me PVP is the best it's been in D2. There's a few small issues which we all know about *cough* Telesto. You used terms like "if this happens one more time" and "I'm sick of" if you're dying to the same things in the same way the problem is YOU. Shotguns have a white light on the end, if you see someone running at you with one you should probably do something about it. Your problem is lack of skilled and controlled movement, radar and situational awareness. People crying about everything is the reason we where left with literally nothing but fusion grenades and side arms in D1. Shot guns are easy to counter. You see red on the radar getting closer very fast, hmm maybe they have a shot gun? Do I a: Stand completely still really close to this blind corner and get wrecked over and over. B: Use my radar and bait him in, get a clean primary kill while MOVING backwards or C: Die in the same way I always do and blame the game and everyone else? You get what I'm saying, the only thing that is OP is the player who is better than you (and Telesto) Everyone just needs to play the game and stop crying about everything, it's an endless cycle that ultimately ends in everyone throwing sticky nades at each other and no one wants that again right?

I just played a round of iron banner where i had to hit a guy 4 times with my titans striker super to kill him. Last night i shoulder charged right through a guy, did zero damage, and then he just 1 tapped me with a shotgun. I also just unloaded a 50 round clip from wave splitter into a guys face and he somehow dropped me first using an autorifle. Got put against a 4 stack last night, my team got creamed, they said they'd break up those teams for a better match, very next match was another 4 stack and got creamed again. And everything i just mentioned isn't a rare occurence. Keep up the great work bungie and don't address any of the issues people have been mentioning for months now, assholes. Also, could someone please do something about the -blam!-ing shotguns. I mean Jesus -blam!-ing Christ, every person i play against is using one and it's getting real old real quick. Sorry for the rant but all i use these forums for is to vent.

11 RepliesThat this not-so-good salt post is so far upvoted just speaks volumes about how shit your PVP really is Bungie. I agree, it's a horrid mess that is purposely and painfully forced wins and losses and far too entrenched metas.
-
Hmmmm, I think the bigger problem is some people quitting the match in the middle or in the beginning. 6 on 6 we started with 6 but just few minutes later we are 5 against 6. Yesterday in gambit another person and I joined one poor dude who was going 1 against 4.

2 RepliesA .357 magnum is accurate out to 100yds. I know, I have one, and can use it accurately to 100yds. At that distance the gun will hit hard. With the right projectile it will pierce body armor, even at that distance. The guns of choice for anyone spending a lot of time in bear country are: .500, .44 mag, and .357 mag. The .357 mag may take the top choice only because of cost. That .500 is for sure the choice in terms of power but its also super expensive. None of the crucible maps are even a 100yds total end to end distance. So, I have zero issues with hand cannon accuracy in D2. But, I do agree, Crucible is crap.

5 RepliesEdited by Redd Wolf: 12/30/2018 3:39:29 AMHand cannons are my main concern in the crucible, shotguns imo are understandable the way they are. The 2 pops from a hand cannon easy kill (get good kid) bit is getting a bit irritating and quite unfair. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying nerf the shit out of hand cannons to the point where they are useless (cause I love my aces of spades) but when matches back to back are nothing but hand cannons it gets really boring I'm sorry to say. I don't know how the hand cannons are on console, but looking back at some old D1 gameplay the diverse of guns being used was really fun.
