A game doesn't die from other game releases, it dies from bad management, bad customer service and treating your playerbase as suckers to be milked.
While D2 isn't dead in the true sense of the word, it smells necrotic, it has to have regular chemo treatments (P2W packages to get the suckers to part with their hard-earned), blood transfusions (free access to the base game to try and pull more players in), lots of vitamin supplements (events that give it a temporary boost but it would have been better served by a more healthy diet of carrots not sticks).
It will linger on as it will be plugged into life support (white knights and fanboys that refuse to accept its had its day and that will keep throwing cash at the ever increasing P2W packages as its playerbase numbers keep declining and the only place to get more cash is from the remaining playerbase, which will decrease the playerbase), the slow spiral down like a toxic treatment that keeps it alive for a little longer but actually makes it a little worse each time.

Well said lol.

There is no pay to win in destiny. Let me repeat this. Bungie doesn’t sell weapons only weapon skins ships and a few other useless bits that do not help you win the game but they do help you look good. However if you just play the game you get this stuff for free. I have everything in the game and I never payed a penny. The only way to win in d2 is to git good scrub. So go take your lies and shove them
-
It sells access to "extra content" that gives you op weapons and mods, it is P2W and many have recognised it as such. If you have not paid for the AP (extra content within an expansion already paid for) and obtained the BA weapons and mods, you don't have everything in the game as they are only available from BA which you have to have paid for. So take your deluded gullibility and shove it.
-
Did you never play world or warcraft or any other game? Yeah, to use the most updated stuff you have to keep buying the expansions.
-
I never thought of it that way, good call. Back in the Remove Eververse days, I made the point that even weapons were just cosmetic.

Edited by シOblivionシ: 12/21/2018 11:25:02 AMDude you lost this argument ages ago just admit defeat and move on to another game to troll.
-
I don’t think you know what pay to win is
-
Thats exactly what P2W is.
-
1. Destiny has nothing in the game that is P2W 2. Players base is increasing at the moment and will only get larger with Christmas
-
2. Player base is increasing.... While daily player population figures continue to fall. Latest data shows a 700k drop in PVE numbers since 4th December.
-
Your right that’s because it’s a dlc launch date of course there’s gonna be a huge spike in people on that day
-
But there wasn't a huge spike on the 4th of December, a week before the PVE daily population was 1.7 million.
-
There was stuff to do for BA a week before it came out. And the play base usually get a pretty big jump around then launch of a dlc and then goes back down to normal it’s happened with every dlc.
-
700 000 fewer players logging in daily than a couple of weeks ago. That's a huge slump.
-
That’s pretty normal for a DLC launch.
-
Forsaken didn't experience a drop of that magnitude in the same time frame.
-
Yes it did so did warmind and CoO even RoI and TTK experienced big drops after there release.
-
I recall the CoO slump, bottomed out circa 400k, because it was trash.
-
It was trash. I believe the numbers dropped was around 600k a few weeks after its launch which is pretty normal because people pick it up play it for a few weeks then drop it then come back for the next expansion.
-
So a week before black armoury dropped, 1.7 million daily PvE players. BA drops, Daily PVE players increase to 1.85 million. Doesn't that increase seem on the low side for a new DLC? Call it 6% 🤔
-
Not really considering people knew we wouldn’t get all the content at once.
-
P2W: an advantage gained by paying cash instead of through game mechanics. Buying the AP to get access to the BA = P2W. The playerbase is decreasing based on numbers since inception, sure numbers will fluctuate occasionally but will always sink to below what they were before as it has been doing exponentially for a long time now. Giving access to the base game for free on PC resulted in a spike which is why you see so many lvl 20's running around, very few of them will fork out for the DLC or the AP and before long they will leave as they come to terms with the fact that they cannot complete the Dawning and following events as they don't have access to the DLC. Selling OP weapons to the suckers will always result in a spike but will decrease after a lot of the suckers get bored with them or realise their OP weapons wont compensate for their lack of skill. And who the hell would buy someone D2 for xmas given the state of the game, I would suggest only the cheapskates given the reduction in price that follows the reduction in popularity. Before trying to sound authorative regarding a subject you may actually want to do some research so you don't embarrass yourself.

Can’t pick which discombobulated response of yours to reply to, so this one will be as good as any. I usually make a habit of quoting the person I’m conversing with, but don’t want your babbling to be duplicated. I would normally try to take each of your points and debate logically why they are not correct, but I literally am lost because of the pure massive volume of wrong that you’re emitting. Please stop talking out your backside. None of what you are saying is remotely accurate or true. You have earned the biggest of sighs. Ugh. The level of ignorance in you is remarkable. Haven’t added someone to my list of people best not heard from in a while, but you made that decision very easy.
-
So you dont respond to anything with an argument you just "babble on" as you put it. And a "sigh" quoted in a forum post, wow, I bet your pre-school mates are impressed by that, us grown ups just think its cute.

what weapons have they sold them?
