Crucible Player Base Is Pathetic
I've never played with a bigger bunch of cowards. The meta crutching is so sad in this game it's laughable. I've never seen a player base so scared to stray from the meta and maybe risk losing a gunfight here or there. An endless stream of crouch walking hunters who occasionally stand up to slide at you with a shotgun.
If it's not meta then you pretty much don't see it on the battlefield. So many good and interesting weapons to use, but if you're not running a shotty, a cheese 180 hc, or a bygones then you are pretty much handicapping yourself. Not that you can't do well with other weapons but oftentimes it just feels like a chore.
The devs do nothing to curb this trend. Apparently no one cares that there are five or six weapons that are used 90% of the time in Crucible. What that says to me is that the pvp dev team has failed. Completely. When there are full stacks of players running shotguns on the most wide open maps in the game, that means that devs have failed at their jobs. But as long as the streamers can run around wrecking with meta guns who cares right?
Matchmaking is genuinely pathetic. We have connection based matchmaking, yet the lag is so bad it's like you're in the Matrix half the time you're playing. So instead of skill based matchmaking where I can play against lagging players who are at my skill level, I get to face stacks of sweats who are lagging anyway.
The Crucible is a failure. On the shoulders of the people who play it and the people who made it.

I wouldn't say im Terrible I PvP. I have been using Jade rabbit/Lunas since update on Scout* btw jade rabbit wrecks* don't really have a problem with shotguns. Just telesto at range* I only play my weekly on all 3 of my characters and dailies so maybe 25 games a week. In those 20-25 games I win most but not all . Quickplay has alot more tryhards since Comp introduced pinnacle weapons (redrix claymore doesn't count imo). But I used to suck at PvP. Like I left D1 with a .90 KD and a 37% w/l ratio. I changed a lot of my hand throughout the year. But I firmly believe every1 can get lunas if they practice. Practice makes perfect. I do agree matchmaking is bullshit in comp Rn which is why I stay out of it but Imo Mountaintop is not worth the grind.

6 RepliesYou're confusing the Crucible for skill-based gameplay. It's not. Crucible is about using OP weapons that you grinded your life away for to use against noobs and casual gamers until they start crying and stop playing Destiny forever. Then you know you've won and beaten Destiny. it's what BUNGIE wants you to do (i.e. drive away the casual gamers so that all that's left are streamers (who should get real jobs) and tryhard no-life gamers.

[/quote] One of the new bladedancer perks is if you get a crit kill while crouched you go invis and get true sight. It is not being a coward - it is utilizing a perk. You could actually learn about what is happening instead of simply jumping to the conclusion that people are crouching out of fear...dumbass

I had a hell of a time running transfiguration as my primary and even managed a “We ran out of medals” while doing so. This weekend I just got a Waking Vigil and Supremacy. Ran with that got another “We Ran Out of Metals” and a couple of Ghosts. (Honestly don’t know why more people aren’t taking about the 150 rpm HC I love that archetype) Usually run a Right Side or Wrong or Go Figure and do well with that. Every once in a while I will throw on Ace of Spades for meta usage. Love my Main Ingredient ( though with the return of shotties I need to rework how I use it, maybe get a new roll with Rangefinder or go with a higher charge rate since charge time MW decreases impact) If people want to use NF or Luna’s let them they are only hurting their enjoyment of the game.
