Telesto is clearly a huge topic on controversy as of now in the crucible. It’s easy one shots and does really great damage while giving you a kill when you least expect it. (The purple bolts it leaves all over the place.) Now changing it to heavy seems like the simplest idea. It’s so strong that it wouldn’t make sense for it to not be a heavy however that’s only crucible. In PvE and Gambit it performs ok you don’t see it to much but it’s alright and moving it to the heavy slot would making the gun obsolete. Now how can this gun be effectively nerf without just reducing damage outright. Well first let’s look at what make this gun such a meta. Firstly it’s spread is super small and doesn’t go out to much which is an advantage over most fusions. However something that makes it map is the fact the gun has 0 damage drop off. This is what I think really makes it meta. So to nerf this we should simply just add a timer on the bolts. The longer they’ve been up the less damage they will do when someone steps on it. What this does it keep it at it’s well one shot potential as fusion rifles should due to a special slot while rewarding the player who can hit multiple pellets instead of other who spray corridors with purple sludge. [spoiler]i think a ever so slight spread nerf should be applied, but it should be tied to range.
