Broadsword 5 Valor resets relative to season...
Just want to make sure, I've just started the quest line for this and I was going to abandon it and start again is season 5, but now it's increased valor and IB. I'm a poor PvP players so want to take advantage of every advantage offered!!
So I can definitely get 5 Valor rank resets before the season ends.... but it's highly unlikely I could do all the other quest steps... especially double kills and the like.... If I reset 5 times before Black Armory and then finish the other quest steps after the season resets in december, when I get to the Valor reset step will it look back to last season and count my 5 resets?
I expect no but I want to make sure, I'd love to start this grind for real on increased valor. Thanks in advance for your friendly rseponses!!

2 RepliesThe quest step requiring five resets in a season is specifically looking at the triumph for that. As long as you have that triumph unlocked when you get to that part of the quest, you're golden.

2 RepliesIf I read the TWAB correctly, the only part in jeopardy is the season rank. Meaning, if you're really close to resetting, you should really focus on getting that done before the season ends, because it will auto-reset to zero and you'll lose that progress and have to start the climb again. [b][i]The other steps are unaffected.[/i][/b]

In addition, why does this reset by season anyway? Why is making me burnout on crucible completely over the course of one season a good idea instead of, not? Was I oblivious to these seasons in d1? Where did they come from and why?

The quest steps for kills and game completions will never reset, but you need to get the 5 resets in one season. If you do the 5 resets in season 4 but don't get the other parts done, you need to reset 5 times again in season 5 and finish the other parts. I used Graviton Lance for double kills, the purple orbs are great for putting damage on multiple enemies. Ace of spades is good in IB if you have a light level advantage. Use a good ranged offensive super like hammers or dawn blade. 1000 cuts is good to if you can line up two people.
