Hello and good evening Guardians.
I am just spreading awareness on pushing Bungie to take action against cheaters among the Destiny community. They need to hold up their end of the deal and take the necessary actions for a reported player. I am sure the Bungie team could look up the stats of a reported player and see they might be cheating, for example Dos attacks against the opposing team, leads to a win with zero kills. This can be noticed on a stats website. This has been happening since D1 3 years ago and the issue has yet to be resolved.
Propose your ideas to resolve the issue or if you have encountered this same problem.

End the game immediatley if just one player on any team leaves Its worse to sit through a losing game because your 3v4 or 2v4 and shax does not call mercy in Comp anymore. You have to sit it out or get banned for reasonably leaving. ^^This represents the stupidity at bungie I dont care what excuse they have but it is LESS of a headache to have to re-start/re-matchmake a game, then have to wait out a predestined losing game. Pvp is dependent upon teamshooting and in comp, if one team has less players, it is 95% going to be a loss!

Reporting another player does not make them a cheater. Granted, I firmly believe that cheaters are always preferred customers (who else can you guarantee will buy your game, but someone who knows they'll win in it?) but you need to understand, a LOT of the issues faced by players can be explained as lag or latency or crummy network. Aside from that, the worst issues are unbalanced weaponry (as a side effect of "balancing" it) and full team/solo queue matching. That said, I will concede though, I doubt they investigate reports very diligently.

3 RepliesLOL, There are so few playing that if they banned cheaters there would be almost nobody left playing!
-
2 RepliesThey just need to be perma banned. It's often blatant and easily identifyable. See vid
-
2 RepliesGive them a reason to not ddos you. aka, end the match instantly if someone leaves, no one gets anything or looses anything.
-
It should be Buff the Quitter Ban rate. will keep the trash out of Gambit.
-
Ban anybody who likes to eat healthy, but whether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let's get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta'aurc. From what I can gather, he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank just outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold

Most of these "attacks" are not actually "Dos" attacks. The server/network configuration Bungie uses is responsible for a large % of these "attacks". That is the reason Bungie does very little in the way of banning.
-
Victims need to start reporting dos attacks to the police, it's a criminal offence and most of the people doing it are probably using a desktop at their mom's house so hardly the greatest hackers. Do you remember the spotty Virgins called lulsec? They got caught.
-
9 RepliesHow do you differentiate DoS attacks with skilled players or unlucky losses?
-
Bungo is most likely a little more cautious. Remember when D2 came out?they were swinging the ban hammer wildly, and people were getting wrongfully banned.
-
1 ReplyNever been dosd, definitely seenguy with crazy teleportation powers out of nowhere though, But to be perfectly -blam!-ing honest I'll get banned from the forums for expletives before FUNGI does something about cheaters. Because they could give a shit about player quality of life, as long as no one is -blam!-ing swearing in the forums, everything will be ok right?

4 RepliesEdited by PilksUK: 11/8/2018 10:22:59 AMHonestly they need to start enforcing their own rules more and hitting that ban hammer! and Im not just talking about cheaters I'm also including people that chuck abuse at you in game etc this anti-social toxic people also need to get temp bans and repeat offenders perma banned! Taking a hard line and enforcing their rules strictly will set the tone of a game people know they can do well almost anything in Destiny as Bungie don't do anything.
-
They will probably take action in a big wave like they did previously with trials. Maybe the banhammer will hit with season 5
-
2 Replieslast seasson i played one game of trials first game mind you got booted offline no internet for 1 hour people should not just be banned but bungie should report the ip to there isp so they can there internet removed for braking the law with there isp.
-
4 RepliesHow to ban a person who uses VM(virtual machine, inside virtual machine, inside another one)+VPN(multiple vpns)? And there is a thousand and one more ways if a person is obssesed with idea of cheating, because peer-2-peer is like a easyprey, for anyone who is got a bit of a knowledge in how networking works.
-
Exactly! They don't want us to name n shamr so they have to keep their end of the bargain
