The stuff of Legends: The Most iconic weapons of D1 - Rank your Most wanted

...and argue how they could be altered/improved on to keep up with the Power Creep 1. [b]Gjallarhorn[/b]: should be toned down to one rocket in the chamber, wolfpack rounds should be only available with catalyst completed 2.[b]Icebreaker[/b]: will be available in Black Armory if the rumours are true, should regenerate Ammo like before, should get "Elephant in the room" perk after completing catalyst. Elephant in the room will be an altered version of the Heavy Ammo glitch of D1: getting a crit kill with the last round in the chamber will gurantee a heavy drop 3.[b]Thorn[/b]: Give malfeasance the catalyst perk "Mark of the Devourer" and name it "Thorn in your side" 4. [b]Bad Juju[/b]: Give horror story a catalyst that adds "string of Curses"

    1. Gjallarhorn: Don’t care how just do it 2. Khovostov: give the ability to change from scout-pulse-auto rifle by reloading, exact same as hard light(borealis is too right?) changes energy types. 3. Last Word: give Ace of spades a new ornament and catalyst, but also keep the ability to shoot individual bullets like you can now(it would be the exact same basically unless you hold in the trigger where it would change to the last word shooting animation and be a little faster). In crucible to balance this shooting full auto bullets would do less damage, but since you are shooting faster the dps would stay the same when changing from full auto to semi auto. 4. No land beyond: would shoot primary ammo in kinetic slot, but one ammo brick would give you one shot in crucible, this way it keeps its usefulness in pve(I never had it so I don’t know how it was in pve, I’m assuming good) 5. The guns that look like thunderlord but are solar and void(don’t remember their names):would be nice, but would most practically be a player changing their energy types.

  • I want my damn OG helm of saints that blinds enemies when entering the bubble. But id prefer the vex back, but they increase stability, mag n reserve size to make it viable with D2, considering its add clear central and 21 rounds is not enough 😂😂 all honesty though id prefer brand new exotics that feel just as powerful as D1 exotics Oh and that dope ass sniper that turns you invis ( i forgot the name im a PoS) but when you shoot you stay invis

    • 1). Bad Juju, I’ve always been someone who prefers to tear through people than melt one enemy, and bad juju was THE most satisfying weapon to do that ever. As great as huckleberry is, it doesn’t give the FEEL that I want, even if it’s functionality works. 2). Pocket infinity, (kinda) I think that the pocket infinity has a great oppourtubity in d2, where power is not necissarily just damage. We have a lot of options to remove downtime in this game for damage, dodge, barricade, Whisper, etc. and pocket infinity can do this, while building a brand new play style in PVE. It’s will work the same, but it has 10 blogs per shot, and if 5 miss, you have a guaranteed round returned. It will also get gung-ho, so that you can fire while sprinting. This can work great for the play style that I gave earlier, but you still need to focus on only landing MOST shots, and with ten bolts, it will be more consistent. Rambling done. 3). Hawkmoon, it’s just satisfying, and I can see why it’s gone, but it just worked well, it was in a great place at the end of d1, and I think it’ll fit fine here. Although lucky round would need to be tuned for lunafaction and such, I’d say every 10 shots behind a barricade it gives a new set of lucky shots, but IDK. 4). Khvostov, and it needs a change too. It’s such a satisfying Auto rifle, all modes included, but it’s not a satisfying exotic, so it should be the first exotic weapon with a life exotic from the exotic class items. Side note I think fighting lion should have that option, but it reduces damage, bc I want to run acrius with my lion load out but I can’t. 5). Young wolf’s howl, it was just a cool idea, and if it got bugged, it’d be great, and add to the exotic sword list, i thought of the other three, but they’d just not fit right based on legendary swords. Honorable mention: Nova Morris and abadon, but as ornaments and not their own weapons.

    • 1. Thorn I really just don’t like malfeasance. It doesn’t feel like a replacement. I miss my thorn so much. Thorn was my version of Thor’s mjolnir. 2. The Last Word This was the best handcannon to combo with sniping. This was the GOAT. This is what we need to put Luna’s Howl in its place 😈 3. Hawkmoon This was the 2 tap king. One of a kind gun that no other gun can compare to. *or 3. Khvostov *(but actually make it good) This was the first gun we as guardians ever pick up in d1. Its the first weapon we ever get to use on the path to our destiny. Another one of a kind gun.

    • Ice breaker was my first exotic back in vanilla destiny 1. I loved that thing I hate sniper rifles but I want it back just for the nostalgia.

      Mine would be the following! 1. [i]Gjallarhorn[/i] 2. [i]Dark-Drinker[/i]/[i]Bolt-Caster[/i] (because... oh, boy, did I grind for these Exotic swords) 3. [i]Bad Juju[/i] I also would not mind getting the [i]Trespasser[/i] or [i]No Time To Explain[/i] back. Nevermind that I have quite a few favorite Raid Exotics like [i]Smite of Merain[/i] or [i]Genesis Chain[/i], though the Raid weapons were phenomenal even on Legendary. I doubt we will get any Raid weapons back... :-(

        Other than the obvious exotics, I want the Iron Banner machine gun from Rise of Iron that kicked so much ass brought back. Edit - i'd like to see Clever Dragon reintroduced as well.

        • Idk the only exotics i got in d1 are the khvostov, ghallahorn, red death, chaperone, queenbreaker, dregs promise, and helm of inmost light.... i got the game like 9 months before d2 came out....
