This first week is incredibly underwhelming and feels out of place honestly. Lets start with the tower...it has a tree...with...engrams on it. No pumpkins, spooky decorations, sound effects, or candy hunting. There's absolutely NO Halloween Theme, in OCTOBER. Moving from there, Amanda Holiday starts off the quest. Why her? The event takes place on Mercury, why is Vance not the quest giver? Its very out of place. Her bounties are unoriginal and bland, rewarding a single soul each. The weekly at least gives MW cores, but that just feels like forced motivation because Bungie knew it was the only way to MAKE people want to do it. Then we have the masks..they all have the SAME perks, and those perks only work in the Haunted Forest. Which means, after this event they are meaningless. There's literally no point. It's a let down to say the least. Oh, and don't even get me started on the trash-tier Fighting Lion Catalyst that requires more work than any before it. Like wow we can swap weapons faster after shooting it, incredible, game changing, totally worth ditching any exotic just to use. At first I thought it was a joke, a gag, and then realized it wasn't. And finally, the Haunted Forest, which is just the infinite forest at night. No themed enemies, no unique enemies, (no Mr. Invincible Knight doesnt count. He's just a knight from Dreaming City) and no jump scares. Missed opportunities. The event is basically: Kill a few dozen adds, then kill a big add, then repeat for 15 tedious dragged out minutes just for a handful of souls. At round 8, you get 10 souls. You can do 3 runs an hour. So 30 souls an hour. So 10+ hours for all the masks and 4 hours for the auto rifle.... Oh, and the final rant. The auto rifle is just a reskinned Origin Story. Could have made a cool pumpkin design theme on it or anything honestly. But no, just more reskinned CRAP. Seriously, idk who designed this event, but they have no business making another one. Hunters should have gotten Mummy armor, Titans should have gotten Frankenstein, and Warlocks should have gotten Witch armor. And where the hells my BroomStick Sparrow!? A WilloWisp aura for clearing a prestige Haunted Forest would have sold me. INB4 Fan Boys Attack: I didnt post a debate topic. I dont know why certain people feel the need to just debate and argue everything. Its like they think they need to change my mind or something.
