He's just a knight from Dreaming City) and no jump scares. Missed opportunities. The event is basically: Kill a few dozen adds, then kill a big add, then repeat for 15 tedious dragged out minutes just for a handful of souls. At round 8, you get 10 souls. You can do 3 runs an hour. So 30 souls an hour. So 10+ hours for all the masks and 4 hours for the auto rifle.... Oh, and the final rant. The auto rifle is just a reskinned Origin Story. Could have made a cool pumpkin design theme on it or anything honestly. But no, just more reskinned CRAP. Seriously, idk who designed this event, but they have no business making another one. Hunters should have gotten Mummy armor, Titans should have gotten Frankenstein, and Warlocks should have gotten Witch armor. And where the hells my BroomStick Sparrow!? A WilloWisp aura for clearing a prestige Haunted Forest would have sold me. INB4 Fan Boys Attack: I didnt post a debate topic. Firstly Fotl isn’t Halloween. If it was it be call that. It’s a event were the city mourns that we’re lost, the dead. Halloween? Nah man, that’s more about candy. If FoTL is any holiday it would be day of the dead. As for Amanda leading the events it’s cause A. Eva Levante is missing(D1 character that hasn’t return yet) B. She has literally nothing better to do. The fighting lion catalyst is really good cause not only does it reload twice as fast, you can also swap faster making it easy for easy kills. The haunted forest isn’t mind blowing, but what it is is the first time the infinite forest has being living up to it’s potential, infinite.

Well, you’re posting in a forum. So, that’s why people comment and voice their opinions. It works both ways... you put your opinion out, and others put their opinion out. I would recommend using the feedback tag and telling Bungie what you’d like to see in the next free event. It seems like they’re listening to feedback and changing things for the better, so who knows... if you have good ideas they might be taken into consideration. If you just use the general D2 tag you’re literally just an angry, old man shouting at the sky, shaking your fist.

The reason it's Amanda and not Vance, as well as the event being accessible through the tower, is so that all guardians may select the event and cash in souls. If Brother Vance was the vendor then the event would be locked behind DLC as you'd have to go to mercury to speak to him. Which you'd need Curse of Osiris for. I do get what you're saying though.

Oh good, I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought the Haunted Forest was lacking. I laughed when I heard Youtubers acting all excited for the Infinite Forest with the lights off. Ooooo, Spooky... Ooooo.

I have to agree with your whole statement it’s true, I got the 600 horror auto rifle yesterday and yes it’s a great gun but just feels no different in fact even the colour is crap I really would have liked a unique gun with a Halloween ghost 👻 or some scary bad ass theme , the way i see this event is the concept is really good but just not feeling Halloweenie as some one else has mentioned a certain other game has nailed Halloween 🎃 destiny give us better themed shite to grind for ....

It really pains me to say it, but Fortnite is killing the Halloween event compared to D2.

What bugs me is there seems to be more exotic engrams on the tree than ones that have actually dropped. Guess we know where they've all gone to now.

You make some good points. I'd like to add some small corrections of my own. First and foremost: the tower, while ultimately lackluster, does have some pretty cool Halloween music and sound effects that, while on repeat, are way better than the basic music we've been hearing since Forsaken. Another thing, the catalyst for the Fighting Lion is tedious, to be sure, but doesn't compare to the steps to complete the catalyst for Sleeper Simulant, or any gun that really matters. Not sure why the catalyst for a has-been grenade launcher is such a chore, but I guess they needed something. Lasty, at least it's something relatively new. Sure, they could have tried a lot harder, or included more. But this is what we got. Some other games aren't even trying anymore. Overwatch has pushed out the exact same Halloween event for the past 3 years, with small (if any) differences. Games like R6 Siege don't even do anything for the holidays. Heck, we wouldn't be getting anything new from D2 until December without this. So I'd rather have some lackluster even than nothing at all, but that's just my thoughts on it.

Having read through posts here, I recognize that you were expressing criticism and not looking for debate. However, you have proven to be, in fact, a master debater.

You're expecting way too much from a company that charges around $200-300 total for a title they're going to abandon and make a sequel about. Nothing we do matters cause its all going away soon. It's all a matter of when.

I suppose there could be a few pumpkins. Many nations do these holidays differently though. Then again I am happy they at least made a good Titan armor...

I’m not really disappointed with haunted forest; however, I honestly was kind of hoping it - and festival of the lost, in general - would maybe be a bit more Halloween-like, but that’s just me. Would’ve been cool to have reskinned enemies in the haunted forest and for it to actually look like a haunted forest - broomstick sparrows would’ve been cool too. Only really concern I have though, is that I’m never ending up in a group that clears level 7. Been in plenty of groups where someone was afk, went to orbit, or barely killed a few enemies. Also been in plenty of groups where we were cleaving through all enemies and bosses at the speed of light, and although I couldn’t see how we could possibly have made our way through any faster, we still couldn’t do better than level 6. Dunno what every group I’ve been in is doing wrong.

This seems like a lot more than just "a bit" of disappointment. I'd hate to see what you would classify as a total disappointment.
