Hi
So I am an average/below average PvP player on PC. My KDA is 1.00 which is terrible.(Not being helped by the continual stomping)
My question is how or why is every match I join in quick play matching me with players using the rederix claymore or lunas howl and sporting seventh column/ trials emblems?

And now that its 6vs6 its nothing but lag fest, people never where you see them, enemies that have time to kill you even if they have been killed already, like fighting ghosts... bring back the 4vs 4, at least it wasnt that anoying when lag of others wasnt making them invincible...

4 RepliesI’m a 3.0 efficiency on PS4 and I wouldn’t mind them tightening SBMM a little bit. It’s not fun for me to pub stomp players who are brand new to the game. Also, low SBMM pairs high-skill players with inexperienced teammates, meaning I have to put up 40+ elims in quickplay to have a chance at winning, because my teammates aren’t going to help. This makes me only want to play with friends because then I can use fun, non-meta loadouts instead of going full tryhard. Don’t bring SBMM back to D1 levels but a little bit more would help IMO.

Yes. There really should be an effort to find fair matches instead of easy ones for the highly skilled to the detriment of others....and thats from someone who benefits from current matchmaking. All my less hardcore friends wont touch pvp now.
My question is how or why is every match I join in quick play matching me with players using the rederix claymore or lunas howl and sporting seventh column/ trials emblems?
Bungie gotta stroke the sweaties, you know? Now go feed your time to some more Tryhards for Bungie.

You are rather brave posting this. I do pvp for my daily and weekly thats it and if i get pub stomped relentlessly idc it doesnt require a win then i never touch pvp again. Gambit is worse than crucible but i can understand your pain man its no fun to play quickplay and have to play like a sweaty comp match only for everyone to get blues its sad.

30 RepliesA better question is why would bungie give only the best players the best weapons. It's a conundrum. The lower skilled players are at an extreme disadvantage. Another question is what does a stacked team get out of stomping new or lesser skilled guardians? Fear. The fear of streamers calling this a casual game. Fear of streamers losing subscribers. Fear of the revolt from sherpas and account captures who charge up to $1000 for Lunas howl or not forgotten. Laziness and greed is what got us here. If the game that exists today was released in year 1, bungie wouldn't have had to go to extremes to satisfy the elite elements of its community. Every weapon could have half the grind, and bungie would have been insulated. I used to play 3 characters, not now because I have a job. People are going to get tired of getting pub stomped. Just like you.

Because there's no matchmaking, and everyone who isn't extremely good has been driven out of quickplay.
-
Because there is no skill-based matchmaking so those people get to pubstomp and “relax” while they farm you like a dreg on patrol.
-
Crucible is only good for milestones then NOT again for the rest of the week. The AIDS of destiny along with Gambit.
-
1 ReplyIt’s random match making now instead of skill based in quick play so comp players practice pub stomping.
-
You really just gotta improve dude

Because of reasons that us mortals cannot possibly conceive...

Dude, most people that wear those emblems in pvp are absolute ass who just got lucky during a couple games. Hell, i suck and i got 4 of them lol.
-
1 ReplyBecause people wanted cbmm instead of sbmm which I don’t understand at all unless you have lag issues
-
3 RepliesI hear you, I’m average at crucible and I find the games getting sweatier and sweatier as a solo queuer. In D1 I generally went positive and that was KD. In D2 I generally go positive, but the ratio is getting lower and lower and it’s KAD - you’d think I’d be doing better?. I found I did better in D2 when the TTK was generally higher.
-
1 ReplyThat’s because the team responsible for D2 Crucible totally botched it. I mean they really dropped the ball with this one. D1 Crucible was fun. Chaotic, but fun. Good maps, solo friendly, lots of hero moments, can run off by yourself instead of hugging your teammates, vehicles, wide variety of playlists and game types. D2 is bare bones. No effort was put in to it. Almost like it was an after thought. It’s sad that CoD ww2 is constantly updated with patches, new guns, playlists, events...etc and D2 gives us 3 playlists and you wait almost a year for weapon balancing. Just sad.

21 RepliesEdited by julianwelton: 10/9/2018 3:46:27 PMIMO it isn't fun because 90% of Destiny's "PvP" isn't actually PvP. In most multiplayer games the idea is pitting yourself, your skill, against theirs. In Destiny it's just 90% one hit kill bullshit that has nothing to do with skill. One hit kill shotguns, one hit kill supers, one hit kill heavy, one hit kill melees, and two hit kill hand cannons (when pulse rifles firing three round bursts take more than two bursts lol). All of this might be fine in some sort of "no holds barred" mode but it doesn't belong in normal PvP. Shotguns should be two hit kills or the ammo should be much more rare. Supers shouldn't drop orbs in PvP. Supers should be based on personal kills and time. Heavy ammo should only spawn once a round/match and should provide less ammo. Hand cannons shouldn't kill faster than every other class. "If you can't beat them, join them" shouldn't exist in balanced PvP so the fact that it's so prevalent in Destiny says something.

It’s all good. Black Ops 4 releases at midnight 😎
-
1 ReplyI am more about the people at the end with 40+ kills and still loose it happens so much and i think they need to play with their own skill and not roll against lower skilled people.
-
Because it’s garbage servers and they don’t have any anti cheats.
-
mostly a pc issue, im having fun on console in pvp, and i actually dont like it. but i have fun getting the engrams positive kds (thats because i play decently) just dont like it. the key is having mates and communicate
-
If you have the 1kda then you will get stomped I personally use the Duke and a snipe Or ace and a shotty and I have no problem getting 2+ every game I don't even use my Luna's howl JUST CLICK THE HEADS
-
Pvp is for weekly engrams. Is it still there from Wednesday til reset?
-
I think the biggest problem right now is the pvp selection Pool is full of people who are good at pvp, or are trying their ass off to be. Those who are not good at pvp are off doing pve stuff. Because, there is so much pve stuff to do, and everything seems to take 30 minutes or more to complete solo.
-
1 ReplyEdited by Nightsbane: 10/10/2018 3:16:08 AMIt's because Bungie developers need to get their heads out of their asses and make a solo queue and a premade queue. Give those premade -blam!- tards a taste of their own medicine. The other problem is how -blam!-ing broken Titans are . Extremely durable supers and magnetic shoulder charges along with titan skating being allowed and lets forget to mention one eyed bullshit mask. Honorable mentions go to Nova warp for being complete bullshit.

2 RepliesWith a 1.00 KDA that’s probably a 0.7 overall so you’re just bad at the game and emblems/weapons don’t determine a players skill it’s in your head get good clown.
