Powerful Rewards still not Dropping at Power
Like or Comment on this Thread if this is still an issue for you. Tons of Clanmates and friends are all still experiencing this. I know Bungie is aware but this needs a fix already.

Enough waiting.[/quote] Getting 6 helmet rewards don't seem random anymore. I feel like this game just holds people back on purpose. How do we get the same engrams weeks in a row? That's not Random The leveling system is what bungie uses it's time on. Just finding ways to hold you back. I play defiance and the leveling system is that you don't need to have gear equipped. Getting old exotics that I got 3 years ago in d1 is not doing it for me. Most are poor versions on top it. 1 year later and the game is still way behind d1 at the end. Only positive is.. Climb walls and fast travel events. The orbs from weapons are only because the supers are nerfed version of D1. We wouldn't need these weapons if the supers were not nerfed at launch. I thought this was a game that went 10 years? I get a weapon in d1 then update makes me get it again? D2 same thing?

6 RepliesI haven't gotten any powerful rewards lower than my power level, but this week its only been 1 power level higher than my current power level and they have been mostly weapons, which is something that is not what I need right now. A powerful reward or Prime Engram needs to drop a minimum of 5 levels above your current power level. How are players going to participate in the Raid if they cant even get Raid Ready? I'm enjoying the game again, but they need to fix this. 1 power level higher isnt going to accomplish anything.

The problem im having is that after doing every weekly quest and tyrning in primes, ive gotten nothing for several weeks, and infusing gear is way too expensive, legendary to legendary shouldnt cost masterworks unless the one you are empowering has a full masterwork.

You may get a 561 helmet because 561 is higher than your total overall power. I do not understand why so many people seem to fail to understand this very simple concept...... Trust me, me and RNGesus don’t get along. I have a 563 max power level, but a 566 chest piece..... guess what my last 3 engrams were at 564..... you guessed it, cheat pieces.

4 Repliesthey are! you just dont get how the system works! they will be dropping higher than your overall power, not the power of the slot it drops in. so you may be 530 max power but running a 550 energy weapon.... that means a powerful drop can be at 531 power in that energy slot. why is it so hard to understand how the system works?

1 ReplyI do unfortunately believe the system is working as intended but I would like to see the cap be pushed up a little bit. Getting from 520 to 540 as a player who started forsaken late, has been a nightmare. At the most two power levels a day. Hasn’t been fun but I guess they just don’t want us blowing through the content like we used to

I've also done 3 powerful rewards and all 3 dropped at least 15 points lower than my current light level, and at least 5 less than anything in the slot it dropped for, for example, in 570 and didn't get any thing over 558

I believe it’s how it’s supposed to work, the higher you get the slower you progress.

2 RepliesDifferent powerful gear drops have different soft caps. Once you hit the caps, you get +1 or +2 of your overall light level (not the LL of the equipped gear in that slot). Do the Petra weeklies and Gambit weekly first. They give the biggest boosts first. Then work your way down.

2 Repliesyeah don't have that problem. why are people experiencing this? my Low level Powerful loot is +1-2 above my LL, my High Powerful Loot is +8-10 Depending on activity. Weird.

All thats dropping for me is energy weapon and gauntlet.

2 RepliesIve had it happen the last two times. Wearing the highest level stuff I have and get drops 1 to 2 light below the item in slot. Heck, ran all weekly bounties and some dailies but, only got 2 light levels from it. It is kinda wierd how it happens, I just hope for primes. Those at least always seem to be guaranteed upgrades.

Even with the “how to” posts and videos showing the best order to get the most from your powerful engrams you can still get -blam!-ed. I hope they get rid of the POS in charge of loot distribution. God damn this game is getting boring. 🤮
