This is after buying 8 cores.
So total purchase is
1st core = 10 shards
2nd core = 20 shards
3rd core = 40 shards
4th core = 80 shards
5th core = 160 shards
6th core = 320 shards
7th core = 640 shards
8th core = 1280 shards
Total = 2,550 shards for 8 cores if you want to buy them from spider in 1 day.
-
9th core = 2560 shards.
I think this is just silly. Slowing down progress.

Kinda tired of flying to FS everyday, waitin' for that long a$$ load time to land... just to get a Beaver error before it loads in... "Aww F' it, keep your overpriced cores!"
-
Not had an issue with cores myself, I buy 2 a day from spider when i play and only keep the good rolls of a weapon and delete the rest, Il infuse everything up once Im higher as seems a little pointless currently. I do however think more should drop from completing weekly bounties, so complete your 3 gambit matches and you get between 1-3 cores also.

4 RepliesEdited by Atreuss: 9/20/2018 6:03:06 AMYeah it is ridiculous. I only buy a couple a day, but my shards are starting to dwindle as well. Not getting enough purple drops to decon to keep up with shard demand for some reason. Now with banshee also costing 2 1/2 times more for a random weapon to decon for parts and shards. Also the mod system is just terrible. They are more rare than cores. Can't get mod components to even buy any because hardly anything drops with a mod in it. I mean you need to loot ten mods just to buy one. 😂 Banshee also needs more mod selection. Oh, and since legendary gear take cores to infuse, why don't we get a chance to get cores from them when we deconstruct pieces?

2 RepliesEdited by Jim_PHX: 9/20/2018 1:31:12 AMI really hope this is addressed soon....it's getting ridiculous. At least give us a way to farm for them.....blind well rewards, bounty rewards, etc. That matterweave consumable is pretty much useless.....maybe make it a 4 hour timer. Buying a few a day just doesn't cut it.

Got 12 cores in 1 1/2 hours grinding mats and turning them in, much cheaper but yeah they expensive !
-
1 ReplyThat's insane! I don't get why they don't give us daily or weekly quests to earn Masterwork Cores if they are so pivotal in our progression.
-
1 ReplySpider aka Bungie is a hustler he makes us fiend for cores..it’s a massive joke them master core sellers are extortionist’s basically drug dealers to make us play more
Total = 2,550 shards for 8 cores if you want to buy them from spider in 1 day. - 9th core = 2560 shards. I think this is just silly. Slowing down progress.
I think you're silly if you actually do that. Just come back each, buy another one for 10 shards. Or even 2. Honestly that MC thing is a pain in the ass, but it's workable. Bungie will remove the use of MCs in infusions soon, I'll bet. Too many of us hate that idea. It's pretty simple... Masterwork cores are for masterworking. There is no reason to use masterwork cores for infusions, unless that item is already masterworked. Then I'd undestand it requiring 1 or 2.
-
Im still use year1 better devils ep shotgun because they are masterworks already that way i can focus on the armour more. This system is designed to slow a players progress and is only going to turn players off continuing. Gets my vote all day long.
-
3 RepliesYeah, this is a damn shame. I have yet to fully masterwork any weapon nor armor because i hardly have enough to infuse my good shit in the first place. I don't receive masterworked items to break down anymore since the Forsaken released. They need to remove MWC from infusion or raise the drop rate of MW items, and add masterwork bounties that reward 5 or more per bounty depending on the mission........Not just 1 core neither Bungie.
-
My hunter looks like he stopped by Goodwill and picked up the ugliest armor. I can’t infuse my pretty stuff because of those damn cores.
-
1 ReplyTwo thoughts came to my head after seeing your pic - can’t believe you have 13000+ shards, thats crazy (I know there will be other people with more) - the fact that you spent 1000+ shards for a MC to show the next price is crazy itself
-
5 RepliesI'm just buying a few every day. Personally feel the system is WAY better than hoping for masterworked random drops and dismantling them for a core or two.
-
Cores are easy to get though.
-
We should all take a knee in protest for a better way to infuse!
-
1 ReplyI've got about 40 cores laying around now and I've already infused my gear and tier 10 weapon. I just don't understand the people complaining about this..
-
Bungle fix infusion this is insane.
-
make some daily bounties for them or something
-
What? Say again...? Didn’t hear you I was suckling my new IB nipple gun.

3 RepliesToo bad he doesnt accept Edge Transits.

6 RepliesThis sloth like progression and enormous infusion costs are going cause this game to wear out its welcome after a while.

Edited by USMC0317: 9/20/2018 3:56:10 AMI'm semi-ok with the masterwork core process. I just don't like once you progress in upgrading gear that each upgrade takes 3 cores...that's excessive. My chief issue is farming for planetary materials again! All OG D1 players know exactly what I'm talking about! And yeah, Spider sells some of them but, it's a straight pain in the butt! Sometimes I'm spending an hour just looting chest and picking materials to upgrade one item and to build up an inventory...I figured @bungie would of learned from D1, guess not. Other than that and the powerful gear dropping like 20 levels lower! Two weeks in a row I've been screwed on that! This is a stupid problem to have!!! Other than that, I think this DLC is the best yet.

11 Replies“Slowing down progress” is what they wanted, sadly enough for us. So now, the kids (or adults) who live in mom and Dad’s basement and work part time (or not at all) get an advantage over me in iron banner because they can actually afford to infuse their powerful gear. Feelsbadman.

Game is super slow right now 😴

misleading title

11 RepliesWell, did you buy it?
