Yeah, Bungie confirmed they are nerfing it on Twitter. The when and how is still unknown
Edit: when I wrote this I meant “whelp,” as “goddamnit.”

It ain't a nerf, it's more of a balancing way to handle it
-
4 Replies2 tailed fox it's better anyway lol
-
4 RepliesTo put it bluntly, the sleeper "nerf" is only going to affect people who aren't good, so it can't be used as a crutch. All that's being tweaked is the aim assist, which I think is a great thing. You should need to hit your shots to be effective with a weapon.

What’s this WE word?
-
It’s our fault for exploiting it so much. We got so many kills with just SS that they had to nerf it somehow.
-
3 RepliesDon't say "we" I didn't have anything to do with that BS nerf. I couldn't be more against nerfs of any sort in any game. Love, Nano
-
It's just an AA turn down for pvp only.
-
Edited by Zanithos: 9/18/2018 2:36:21 PMThis is more because of the steady linear fusion perk and gambit. If you're face-to-face with a fresh invader holding a linear fusion rifle, they still have their shield, and there's no cover, there's literally nothing you can do other than either waste your super on them and hope you can hit them before they hit you, or just sit there and watch them kill you. What's worse is that since it's being nerfed in Gambit, unless they've created their own separate tuning values for that gamemode they'll have to nerf all linear fusions in all modes, damaging the entire weapon archetype. Mark my words, with all the Chaperones out there, shotguns will be next.

Not really a nerf, Pc it’s still the same. Console got the AA turned down. It’s a weapon with near infinite range and is a one shot to the toe, it’s basically the same.
-
Edited by VoidblinD: 9/19/2018 6:51:10 PMNo power loss but they’re messing with handling and aim assist. Prolly other garbage too. Thanks community.
-
7 RepliesCant wait until one thousand voices starts showing up lol. That thing is insane, 100% worse than sleeper for killing players and melting bosses.
-
They’re only nerfing the aim assist, if you can aim you’ll be fine
-
25 RepliesMuahahaha!!! Win!! Suck that, Sleeper scrubs :P Now you have to learn how to shoot, rather than having a kill handed to you.
-
They are only dropping the aim assist down. If you can actually shoot you’ll be fine
-
4 RepliesYet a one-hit kill with goldengun from clear across the map is a-okay. You make a lot of sense, Bungie.
-
1 ReplyNow that's taken care of, when are shotguns getting nerfed?
-
7 RepliesI just hope it remands unchanged in pve. If that’s the case, I’m fine with it.
-
Lol one thing sure is that those guys are going to be much easier prey for me... :p
-
Lmao this isn’t a nerf.. this is balancing! The gun has way to much aim assist.
-
1 ReplyGlad I put hours into that quest last week I was in there if you can’t beat it join it camp lol
-
I thought Bungie said they could tune weapons separately for PvP and PvE!? Why don't they do that? Seems friggin' ridiculous (as a software developer by the way) that they can't just have separate rule sets for both activities.
-
26 RepliesEdited by blade329: 9/18/2018 7:43:09 PMBungie has got to STOP caving to the PvP snowflakes. I don't know who are the bigger sissies, the PvP guys or Bungie. Doing the same thing over and over, yet expecting a different result, is the definition of Bungie (Insanity)
-
They reduced the aim assist.....
-
7 RepliesOne step back to the exact shit that gave us vanilla D2 in the first place. Thanks assholes. I’m shocked you guys are too dumb to learn the lesson.
-
Gambit sucks anyway and it is painful to participate.....
-
Waaaaah I can't one hit people with wall hacks and melt bosses anymore waaaaah. Git gud
