4 RepliesThere are two things that help make a raid “fun.” 1) Players who have the skill, light level or both to make it a relatively easy run. I’ve seen high-skilled but low-light players do well because they know how to kill, stay alive and do objectives. I’ve seen low-skilled but high light levels do well enough to not die because they can take more hits, kill enough because they do more damage and are fairly competent on objectives. Regardless of which type or mix in the middle, they make the raid easier. It’s annoying running with someone who says they know the raid and they have one completion but spam quotes from streamers to show their “knowledge” while you have over a dozen completions. 2) Players who are Laid back, easy-going, fun but determined to get done. They laugh if you mess up and don’t repeat the error. They are fine giving and accepting suggestions. They work as a team and have fun while getting the raid done. Having people too relaxed who joke but screw around for 3-4 hours and don’t get done is annoying. The other extreme is the “potty trained at gun point” players who scream at any issue. The raid may get done quick but it’s not fun with that type.

I absolutely loved VoG. CE was ok, if short. KF was better, if a little mechanics-heavy. Never played WoM. The original Leviathan was terrible. The vex Lair was pretty good, but again, short. Never did the second Lair. I love the idea of raids. The execution has only fully lived up to its promise the once, though. Still, even the worst one I’ve done was enjoyable. Just not as much as it could have been.

Edited by RingersCheckmate: 9/15/2018 9:15:21 PMI loved D1’s wrath of the machine, but despised VoG’s launch, crota’s end, and kings fall. I tolerated D2’s leviathan, and laughed at eater of worlds but spire of stars was pretty great. It’s the light level of last wish that makes me mad, because it feels like it’s designed around engram exploiters.
-
I liked doing raids in D1. D2... Not so much. I will try run Last Wish sometime in the coming months though.
-
I loved almost all the raids in d1 probably close to 150 clears between all characters. D2 im.just not feeling it for some reason, im not antisocial, I lfg'd all the time in d1. Something is off....
-
Used to raid a tonne and still do a little now, when you have a reasonable team and the chat is good it makes for a great experience and possibly the best experience you can have in destiny. Its the time to do it that kills them for me more now, looking forward to doing the new one though.
-
I want to solve the Rubix cube by myself ;-;
-
I like raids I don't however like the teams I get.
-
I like em, but I don't wanna do em three times every week for months like I did in D1.

I’m a big PVE player, raids, puzzles, etc is what I get most excited for. I don’t do anything pvp related (anymore) for anything. Don’t think it’s worth it IMO, it makes the game less fun for me and I play the game to have fun. I also enjoy the solo pve aspect of pve as well, slugging through stormy missions or patrols just to pass some time when I don’t wanna be social.
-
I would like 3 man mini raids. Not strikes lol.
-
I'm a solo player and I like the raids. However I don't like how long they take to do and get together.
-
Most people, including myself, think raids are the best part of Destiny.
-
I want to shoot stuff not solve a rubix cube with 5 other idiots
Makes perfect sense to me. I liked the first two raids (in D1) but after that Bungie thought increasingly complex mechanics would increase the fun. I guess.

I only play destiny for the raids. You grind light lvl in order to play endgame activities, raids is the only endgame activity I care abt. It’s fun, rewarding, and hard.
-
My opinion. The grind to beat the raid should start in the raid, getting gear in the first part should help you finish the second part, etc.
-
Generally really enjoy raids. I personally hated Levi. Thought it was tedious and boring. Don't know what to say about last wish. Some parts seem redicules. Should be fun to try but it's looking nearly impossible without a dedicated team for it.
-
Raids are my favorite part of Destiny. I wish though it wasn’t such a grind to be ready for it. Feels like such a chore
-
Im not a fan of raids either. Very boring.
-
I’m a solo player. Raids are my favorite part of destiny. I’ve beat every one with exception of the last wish. I will be doing the last wish in the next week or two.
-
*breathes in* Nooooooooone cares.
-
I enjoyed D1 raids D2s raid was meh, and the lairs weren’t enough to bring me back
-
Sorry but it's supposed to be like an MMO WoW has raids with like 25 people so 6 is actually a really small raid i know it sucks but the game isn't designed to be for solos like most MMOs though bungie has tried to make it look like it
-
I was a solo player for the longest time, but the raids are something I think every player should at least experience, not complete (because there are players who are simply incapable of doing that) even a partial raid attempt is worth doing because the raids are fun, some are less fun than others (looking at you Kings fall) but they’re all really fun.

17 RepliesIf you’re a solo player then it’s not fun and a drag to do. You got to find people who are not toxic and sit there and learn how to do it. It’ll be easier if Bungie added matchmaking for the Raid and Nightfall
