I got my one and only exotic engram from a yellow bar on the arms dealer strike, Chromatic Fire haven’t had that feeling in a while.

35 RepliesYou can thank the streamers and Youtubers for the exotic drop rates boys. People who have no life and play nothing but video games for 8 hours a day complaining that they don't have enough content to grind on stream and make money off of. The devs listen to them more than anyone else because they're the most vocal group and have the biggest platform to yell from. If they say your game is bad, the devs care more about that because that influences how the community views the game. Meanwhile, the rest of us with lives and jobs that don't involve playing video games all day have basically no chance of getting any specific exotics we want. I've been playing every night since the game came out and haven't gotten a drop, and I know there are people who have been grinding waaaaay harder than me and haven't either. So if I was excited to play Gambit with the Trinity Ghoul with the Oathkeeper gaunlets then pretty much RIP to my excitement until Xur sells both of them in 3-5 months. Cool game balance Bungie, way to overreact to what streamers say yet again.

I think they nerved the Exotic drop rates too low. I have been playing Forsaken for 60 hours now (Yeah stfu I have no life) and done all bounties/powerful rewards on all 3 of my characters (also got 2nd sets of supers on all of them). AND YET, I have not seen an exotic Drop... I´m not going to play over 400 hours of Forsaken to finish my exotic collection. This is rediculous. I only got the new fusion Rifle from handing in over 20k gunsmith materials... 20k for one exotic? No thank you. Even handed in 4k Vanguard Tokens - no exotic. Handed in over 4k worth of Coins to Planet Vendors - no exotic. If this is what it takes to get an exotic, then all i´m gonna do is play the raid and then quit the game. There is no point in grinding exotics when they dont drop.

I think I’m with a lot of people who would happily take lower drop rates with exotics if bungie got rid of duplicates. Collections make them pointless and It would make the feeling of getting an exotic actually an enjoyable feeling of progression towards getting the item you actually want rather then an extremely frustrating waste of time.

9 RepliesMy main character is at 523 grinded for around 30- 40 hours so far and zero exotics have dropped for me. Got Ace of Spades and Chaperone but zero exotic armor drops or weapons . I don’t mind rare, I mean it was ridiculous before how easy it was but even in d1 it seemed like high level activities like NF’s and stuff had a much higher drop rate for exotics , it just doesn’t seem to be the case as of now. We did NF yesterday and none of us got an exotic drop nor has anyone in my clan that’s completed the NF yet. And that’s just one example

I'm still barely out of the campaign, but if this is true then I like it. Last year I zipped through the exotics like it was nothing. My first two were Merciless and Wardcliff. None of it felt rare or special. I still remember my first times getting Last Word and Hawkmoon. It may be a hell of a grind, but (Jesus I hope I don't eat these words) so far it looks like they are headed in the right direction with giving us stuff to do and things to chase.

11 RepliesAs a day one D1 player I do like the rarity being back. But I’ve put in over 40 hours into Forsaken and not a single exotic engram has dropped. It’s a little too low tbh. Three of coins still needs to exist if it’s this low. I found myself just logging onto Spider-Man instead of grinding for something that just may not drop at all. Just my two-cents
