All the Top TryHards in the World are using Shotguns
So please stop telling me their beatable. There not unless you never play the objective. Their flat out OP, just like they were for most of D1. IF the maps were 15x the size, shotguns could be beatable but not with these little lane maps.

They can easily be beaten if you play for mid range. The only time shotties were overpowered in D1 was with this little thing called shot package. The only problem with current map size is that it makes spawns pretty bad for 6v6. It in no way is especially disadvantageous or advantageous to any particular special weapons.

Just don't play crucible. This community is the most crutch using group in fps history. They wait for their favorite YouTuber or streamer to tell them the broken load out and use it exclusively. It will NEVER change. So I just play pve and avoid crucible like the plague. Sometimes my clanmates shame me into playing with them and I immediately remember why I don't do crucible. But you are wasting your time on these forums man. Perhaps bring up the fact Bungie swore off OHK primaries for D2. How did that work out?

No honestly kids r just spamming shotguns. I don't mind it in qp. But in comp that shts not cool. Like I'm sorry I'm trash. 3 kids rush me with shottys I only killed 1....im obviously trash. I jump over shottys.....i get telesoted.....next level garbage

Fusion rifles, grenade launchers, side arms, smgs, AR’s(Suros in particular), grenades(actually do damage now), are all viable for countering shotguns. I could go more in depth, but you get the idea. If everyone is running around with a shotty, this only makes the counters more viable as there are plenty of people to use them on.

So what you're telling me is people who are sweaty to be good at the game are still good at the game? How is this worse than the last meta where every sweaty tryhard was running graviton or vigilance wing? Those two killed you almost as fast as shotguns at way longer ranges. at least now sweaty tryhards have more options, and you, YES YOU, can run a shotgun to counter theirs. Or if you got good, use fusions against them, which are so strong right now its unreal.
