So. If you read the letter fragments that you find in chests scattered around different planets, they talk about his dead son, ace, and his family. (Cayde used to be human and have a family. While he was away from his family he wrote to his dead son ace in his journal as a way to remember.but after the war he died and his sould got transfered to an exo body which in doing So he lost all his memories and all he had to reference to was his journal.)So I think that Uldron. Is. Ace. BOOM. But in reality it all makes sense. If ace died, and somehow got his soul transferred to a awoken body, he would probably be mad at cayde for abandoning him and his mother. So ace set out to kill cayde and successfully does so in the forsaken dlc.

1 ReplyOr Uldren is mad that the Guardians pissed off Oryx, who in turn decimated the Reef army when the queen vowed to slow him down against Uldren's wishes. He also seems to have a personal hatred towards Guardians, possibly due to their connection to the Traveler and/or they were one of the reasons for Uldren and Mara to have a tough childhood. Regardless, the idea of Uldren being Ace --especially since soul transfer has never been referenced once in the game-- makes little sense since their parents are never referenced, and Cayde never had some soul transfer either. His memories were literally transferred to an Exo body then wiped at some point thanks to a terminal explaining the Exo program in the Warmind DLC. There's more logic behind the idea of Cayde just being crazy and calling his gun "Ace" to cope with his lost memories (hence the occasional Spinfoil hats from his caches).
