I keep seeing posts blaiming the state of the game on the 3 years of Destiny 1 feedback. What a load of crap.
No one ever complained about heavy and supers being too prevalent. Heavy came around twice in a match and was usually the most exciting time of the match.
Nobody complained about a lack of a elementary primary slot. They just asked if they could have more choice. A couple of extra elementary primaries would have been fine.
Nobody asked for special weapons to be removed. They just wanted them more balanced. What we had was 1 hit kill weapons with regenerating ammo.
People did ask for matchmaking but we still don't have it. Guided games is a train wreck half measure.
Towards the end of Destiny 1 crucible was in a pretty good place. You had players roaming around the maps, using different guns, experimenting with load outs, watching YouTube videos on how to improve their game, grinding for that god roll weapon and having fun. With Destiny 2 that is all gone.
They just had to make a few minor tweeks so they took a sledgehammer and destroyed it. They could have tamed a couple of guns and separated PvP and PvE and everyone would have been happy.
Don't blame the gamers for this s**t show. Blame this ill thought out, rushed, greed fuelled mess on the developers and publishers.
PS. which complaint was the introduction of nightfall timers introduced to address. Players loved to try to solo the event but how players want to play the game is no consideration to Bungie. They decided that they don't want players to solo the nightfall so they introduce a mechanic to stop them. So they did.
PPS two tokens and a blue.

Sounds like you came late to the D1 game. Heavy ammo dropped more frequently in the beginning then got nerfed to two drops a match. Also Bungie has tried to skew us toward playing a certain way. Like killing the secondary slot so the only decent weapon were side arms. Killing shotguns. Nerfing the Truth into a legendary so the precious Gjallarhorn would be the number one launcher. Would like to go on but I'm getting depressed. That's just the tip of the iceberg.

1 ReplyDid you not roam the forums during d1? Well I did. Ability overuse was one of peoples complaints throughout if I remember right about house of wolves TIL d2 came out. Special guns were in a constant state of imbalance whether it was fusions being too good, shot guns having too much range, snipers being to easy to post up with or side arms being ridiculously overused. There wasn’t a day d1 pvp was balanced or even remotely close to balance and that was why it wasn’t my favourite pvp game. D2 is much much better in this regard

Bungie only listen to 11 year kids every time they get killed they come on this forum and bitching about stuff

1 ReplyEdited by Soul_Eater_42: 2/6/2018 9:06:43 PMActually, you're wrong. Many of the complaints you listed were in fact present throughout Destiny 1. Players did often complain about the abundance of heavy ammo for Rockets and Machine Guns, which resulted in Bungie reducing the Heavy ammo crates to just 1 a match, with less ammo in them. Supers were another common complaint, with people asking for the Supers to be nerfed in either strength or duration, and some even wanted Supers entirely removed from Crucible. As for the special weapons, players often wanted them either removed from Crucible, or have less or no ammo. Some even wanted Bungie to move Snipers to the heavy slot. And as for the blame game that everyone loves to play here all the time, both Bungie and the players are to blame for this dumpster-fire-of-a-sequel turning out the way it did. Players constantly asking for nerfs, or terrible solutions to problems that could have been easily solved by an intelligent, creative, and level-headed person, and Bungie for coming up with the dumbest ways possible to fix anything in these games, with zero thought or creativity, and often listening to the wrong feedback. Case in point, the current weapon system and the subclass abilities. This weapon system is Bungie's way of dealing with the special weapon issue, and forcing players to use Primary weapons. The problem here is that those morons thought it would be a good idea to also weaken the primary weapons, and not buff the special weapons that were moved to the Power Slot. Had they kept the Kinetic and Energy weapons at the same level as the Primaries in D1, and buffed the weapons that were moved to the Power Slot, maybe, just maybe, it could have worked. Yet, Bungie just loves to play it safe, and make everything mediocre and weak. Same with the subclass abilities. Players complained about ability spam, so what does Bungie do? Makes them all weak as shit, and take forever to charge. No, not one or the other, like any logical person with functioning brain cells would do. They thought players would be happy if they did both, and boy, were they wrong. They need to learn some restraint, and stop going overboard. Learn how to properly balance so shit like this doesn't keep happening. Making everything bland and mediocre is not the only way to create balance.

I have to disagree, almost every argument you gave was actually what people did ask for

look up what no one means,

Bro bro bro bro, don't be such a jerk.
-
You got what you and the other whiners asked for. Deal with it and eat your vegetables.
-
So how about you provide some constructive criticism? Thanks for stating the obvious captain hindsight, but this sort of shit doesn’t help anyone. Just another whining kid who knows everything aren’t you champ.

1 Replyi already quit destiny all of destiny and i feel much better about my self because there no need to worry about the eververse and Dmg And Pure Greed anymore people must quit and come back one the greed fest is over or better yet

People keep saying "But this was what people asked for in D1 " are technically correct. There were a lot of TOPICS about these things....BUT those topics were often downvoted and the OP's mocked for posting them. Even when nerfs happened people were called out on it.

Edited by SolarCerberuS: 2/7/2018 4:41:17 AMNone of us asked for it not directly anyway. But many had issues with the 1hk specials hence the resulting mess for D2 Many complained primaries were not the go to for crucible hence why specials are now power with heavy. Many wanted elemental primaries and with the above combined it gave birth to the energy primary weapon option. Every complaint about how god rolls were op or too hard to get gave birth to static rolls. And all the complaints and calls for nerfs to exotics gave us the bland ones we have now. As for heavy and supers there were rampant complaints surrounding them hence again why we have a dulled down crucible and as a result a weaker feel8ng guardian in Pve aswell So no we didnt actually ask for what we have in D2.......but we might as well have.

Would love someone from Bungie to answer a simple question.....WHY? #nevergoingtohappen #twotokensandablue

1 ReplyI agree with you 100%. Bungie destroyed Destiny 2, ruined everything that made Destiny cool. I wouldn't even call Destiny 2 part of the Destiny franchise, it's a train wreck. I have fun playing Destiny 1, I spend more time playing it than Destiny 2, maybe Bungie should LISTEN to players, I'm mean actually listen and NOT do the opposite, or fix stuff that's NOT BROKEN!!!!!!!!
-
You want proof this company ain’t doing shit to fix this game......... just read dmgs most recent thread! Great fix guys!

I never cared about god rolls or grinding. It's the world that your grinding that matters to be and the place and the world should feel WORTH it, beyond the little treat you get, THAT'S what's important to me. Just like trying to solo, for me THAT was fun cause it was a PERSONAL challenge. It just seems they don't understand that the world feel like total make believe and not in a good way. I really liked playing the story but it went nowhere and leaded you to nothing really.
-
5 RepliesI hope you are kidding. Everything you listed was constantly complained about.. I dont know if you are joking or you have amnesia
-
12 RepliesBs you scrubs whined and whined and that is why we are here now.
-
I am not defending Bungie here - but everyweek people cried about how bad Destiny 1 was, so bungie re-vamped D2, now every one cries about how good d1 was and how bad d2 is. gamers.
-
The timer on the nightfall was the biggest insult. Don't force me to play with other people, we get that enough with trials and the raid. Why are all the solo activities easy??
-
But we did complain about PvPers that only used special weapons, spammed abilities, for wanting primary elemental weapons since we first experienced them in VoG, but grinding for the godroll, that was fine.
-
26 RepliesThe weapon system is the only good thing about D2, the only people who don’t like it are crucibabies and who cares what they think. D2 sucks balls right now but one of the big problems is the same as with D1, they go outta their way to listen to these PvP lagoon monsters who sit in their moms basement crying tears of Twinkie filling into their scuff controllers and after bungie does whatever the streamers tell them to then they give the crucibabies whatever they’re crying about at the moment. Remove everything about crucible except mayhem....problem solved.

Edited by Cosmic Zaa: 2/7/2018 2:48:49 AMmany people asked for special to be removed, myself included Most points, i get. But that one, many asked for
