Destiny Needs Its Guardians! Now More Than Ever!
What is this?
If you're someone who plays destiny 2 and is upset with how things are than you have every right to be, if you're in love with the game as it is than you have every right to be. No matter what side you fall under we all share the same desire to want good things for this game and it's up to us, as players, as a community, as guardians, to give these guys our full support in whatever way possible (and no I don't mean dumping money into Eververse till you're in debt lol).
Disclaimer: THIS IS NOT A RANT ON BUNGIE, this is a post I made for people to leave ideas, feedback, their thoughts on what ever they want relating to destiny 2 and for future installments. I'm well aware that a lot of you are upset with Bungie lately on how they handle things recently but hassling them won't change the fact that they need us as much as we need them, now more than ever.
All feed back is appreciated, negative or positive, that's what these forums are for and just so you know, your opinions DO MATTER (I can't possibly stress that enough).

Who am I?
My name is Logan or ItsYaBoyCruz on xbox (I know, cringy right lol). Let it be known that I HAVE NOT PLAYED DESTINY 1, and only preordered destiny 2 cause a friend recommended it to me. So what would I know about anything? Well, I was fortunate to have a group of friends to take me through the game, and give me info on what the first one was like from multiple perspectives and started falling in love with the lore on day 3. I then went on to watch lore videos on topics that peeked my interested, found a site where I could read through the grimoire cards to learn as much as I can. While playing through the game i pulled random players aside to ask them their thoughts on everything and it moved me how many people really care about the future of this game which is why I made this post.

So what now?
Now I leave the rest to you, use this blog in any way you see fit, express your ideas, opinions on the game this fanbase has build. In the next day or so I'll be sharing ideas i've gathered from players i've talked to while playing though the game and you let me know what you think.
THE INITIAL GOAL of this post is to eventually get bungie's attention and make them realize that this is a team effort, that we're in this together.

2 RepliesWhile I appreciate your intentions, I really do have to ask; what you think this will achieve? Bungie have had 3yrs of feedback (as well as there own data from how people play the game) which they just flushed down the toilet when they chose to produce a game which took away everything that people enjoyed while introducing things that no-one asked for. For 3yrs we supported Bungie by buying their dlc, forgiving their lies and misinformation, tolerating the content droughts, the incessant nerfs and forced metas and effectively crowd-funded a 3yr beta all in the misguided belief that they would release Destiny 2 as a game which finally meets its full potential. Bungie chose to reward our patience with a vacuous and hollow shell of a game and basically told their hard-core player base that this game is not for them. They broke the PvE aspect of the game in order to cater to the e-sports crowd and yet somehow, ludicrously, managed to piss of the PvP community even more than they did the PvE crowd. We learned the hard way that Bungie's only interest in our feedback is to provide them with the information they need to introduce a few positive changes every spring prior to the release of a "major" expansion so they can give the impression that they're listening and then subsequently remove those improvements once the gullible have been conned into buying the next iteration of the game. I have plenty of ideas on how this game could be turned around, but I really don't see the point in wasting my time posting them. It is my belief (and one which is probably shared by many who've been here since the beginning) that Bungie are too self-absorbed and arrogant to take on-board people's feedback. I suspect this game will have to crash and burn before the actions needed to turn this game around will be taken, and I suspect that by then, it'll be too late. I sincerely hope that those of you who are new to the franchise will have better luck getting Bungie to listen to you than we did, but somehow I doubt it.

Bungie made the decision to turn Destiny 2 into a vanilla generic shooter designed for the casual part time player. End of story. They aren't going to change direction on that. There are too many players out there willing to pay for this. For the players that were addicted to Destiny 1, this game is the cure........and it's effective. I've been clean and sober since October.

What is going on in this game right now is shocking. The only language they now no is $€£.

Your heart's in the right place, but I think it's pretty clear at this point their Come-To-Jesus moment will come only after a long, hard look in their wallet, because they're looking past everyone and everything else.

That's what the feedback forums are. Destiny forums are more about doing stuff in game, less about improvements and other suggestions.

1 ReplyI think Destiny 2 needs to integrate more updates in quivker succession. Even if it doesn’t add content. Sandbox updates, bug fixes, and patches need to be worked on and released [i]before[/i] a dlc. While there’s an avid playerbase. Bungie has a great group of developers, and i’d like to see them embrace it by reintroducing old content on top of new content. Destiny 1 content would be well received by me. They should also expand upon activities like adventures, strikes, and lost sectors. New factions would add a plethora of reasons to play as well. :)
