Who is not happy with time limit on nightfall?

I may be alone in this subject but nightfall use to fun. You could take your time and progress with a group of friends talking and having a good time. Now it feels more like a job and a rush job with some modifiers. I hope bungie can add in the next few patches to remove the time limit or at least make it where it is not a rush job. If bungie wants us to stay around, they need to make things like nightfall more enjoyable. Edit: Thank you guardian's for all your input. It is great to see so many new ideas to make the NF more fun. It is also nice to see many of you being polite about it and not so negative on a post.

    I say take the timer out of the normal nightfall (with a lower tier rewards) and leave it on prestige (top tier rewards). That should be the end of all the complaints.

      The time limit makes sure people can get in and get out and get back to the place that matters the most, the Eververse.

        Nightfall is definitely not hard but the timer is stupidity. Making me rush thru faster doesn't make it harder it just makes me burn thru content faster than normal. And with the state of this game right now that is not a good thing. Y1 nightfalls were alot harder imo. Being sent to orbit upon team wipe was incentive to not die. Enemies were so strong that with the corresponding burn almost everything could one shot you. Granted there were folks cheesing with exploits then not much has changed now has it. With all the timer exploits it's really no different. Oh and sitting back sniping isn't a cheese. We were literally using a weapon how it was intended to be used. Weapons are straight trash right now. Balance means slow times to kill to the majority apparently because all that ever gets used is the same few guns by anyone with a competitive bone in their body. If you come from d1 y1 and you hated on thorn but still rock that MIDA now then your opinion is totally obsolete.

      • I like the prestige nightfalls and it was the last thing that kept me interested in the game. After hard mode raid turned into more stress than it was worth the last thing in destiny 2 that kept me playing was the prestige nightfalls. I wouldn't even do it for the loot - it was just a challenge. Remove those - the game would be solely story mode and dead to me.

        The timer? It was a cheap lazy thing to add to it, and Bungie calls that a "challenge" lol Take the timer out of it guys and anyone can solo any of them. That is how pathetic the nightfall's are.

          Run regular strikes. Take your time. Have fun. I had more fun last night failing the prestige twice then I did in any nightfall in year 2 or 3. The timers are great, it's the rewards that suck.

        • I hate the timers. I can do the nightfall so it's not about "not being able to", it's about the fun factor and the timers take away the fun for me. I used to run the nightfalls in D1 at least 3 times per week and usually more helping friends run through it. I just checked my stats and I've only run the nightfall 25 times (across all characters) in D2, that number should be a minimum of 42. Most of those I have run were early on but I've pretty much stopped doing them now altogether. I think it's miserable running against a timer. While there are some who like them, the majority (as evidenced by every single poll put up on the subject) want them removed.

            me personally cannot stand timers or time limits given to me as a "challenge" rushing through content does not make it any better,in contrary it makes gameplay feel like a job. I like to take my time exploring the content then slowly advance bcs i want fun and excitement. I am new to the Destiny Universe but NF is nearly the same as Greater Rifts in Diablo 3 they also have a time limit,meh. timers destroy the natural gameflow for me,rush hour in a game lol back to Destiny 2 i have never finished any NF nor the Leviathan raid bcs i play mainly solo I would really like to have the option to try to finish it solo but atm i cannot make it in time,15 min is way to short to have any chances for me to finish.main reason is bcs i have no clue wht comes around the next corner.and i am not the kind of gamer tht makes a special u tube review before playing any content so i know whts coming.like i said before i like to explore it myself. hopefully bungie listens to the community and changes the timers to be @ least optional for more loot or whtever but give us the chance to try them without lame timer pls sayonara

          • Nightfalls D1: Bungie: "The players are rushing through the nightfall, do something to slow them down!" Nightfalls D2: Bungie: "Add a timer so they have to rush through the nightfalls" Why... fuçking WHY?!?

After a few tries, I'm already bored of the NightFall Strikes.. The timer just makes it really boring, were all rushing, no one has time to talk, we just ignore mobs, speed run past anything we can.. I used to love playing the NF Strikes when it restarted the entire Strike because you all died, you didn't feel CHEATED, it reminded you of the importance of being careful, positioning yourself well and remembering mob locations and there weapon and element types, it added a sense of depth and care to what the enemies were using. Now its nothing like this, now, no one cares. The best modifiers from Destiny 1 were when you would deal extra damage using a specific element. (NOT a rotating element.) It made this sense of, we were just as deadly as the enemy. We could easily destroy enemies, but we also were easily destroyed, stupidity wasn't rewarded. Careful planning and movement was rewarded. You weren't punished for "taking your time" and instead punished for not planning. That and as an additional bonus, we would try do it as 2 people and then solo, just for fun, etc. With the timer, its too "difficult" to do this extra challenge. TL/DR: Timers punish players wrongly for being careful. They also force a "270 Light Level ONLY" for LFG. No one likes fake "difficulty" dynamics.             • AoT nailed the Nightfall timer. You finished under 30 minutes? Great, you’ll get a bonus reward via Sunrise bounty. You didn’t finish under 30 minutes? No worries, you’ll still get your rewards and flaming head. Destiny 2 has so many WTF type changes that I almost feel like they intentionally wanted to piss off the majority of the community.

              • It's poor game design to take a game the rewards planning, moving, and precision shooting, and then slap a timer on it. The timer does nothing for the game that feels rewarding or increases player engagement. It just adds a distracting mechanic on top of an already difficult scenario. It needs to be relegated to some kind of bonus. STOP forcing game over for not beating an arbitrary timer.
