Iron Banner drop rate is 100% rigged for failure
So i have turned in 9 packages and SIX of them have been duplicates.. SIX!! PC only gets a week to collect all 3 armor sets, how on earth is it even possible to do this when the RNG system is disgustingly bad that 2/3 of all package turn ins result in duplicates?!
My friend has turned in 4 packages so far and the last THREE of those four have been the same pulse rifle!!
PLEASE Bungie; go back to the system where you can buy gear directly from Saladin for tokens. This drop rate is beyond gross, and theres no way for PC players to get all three armor sets before season 2 as the RNG system stands right now..
Seriously dissapointed in this. Makes it feel like I am completely wasting my time in playing Iron Banner..

i actually 100% gave up on Iron Banner, they seem to not want to drop the entire collection for your characters, screw it I dismantled everything

I have now opened 22 engrams from the iron banner and have got legs and duplicates of the helmet for my titan and I have no clue how many duplicates of guns. There has to be a issue I’ve done the math even if I want n every match and subtract the challenge rewards that’s at least 74 games so with losses easily 100-125 games and I have 2pieces of armor to show for it.

We'll be able to buy IB gear for tokens and/or legendary shards in season II, or so I heard. I'm not defending Activision and their failed abortion of a rewards system; just FYI.

31 RepliesI bet you didnt play destiny 1. Where you could go 50-70 matches WITHOUT ANY REWARDS. Be happy that you get more than 2 weapons or armor pieces in a week of iron banner. I sure was if i ever got 2 weapons in D1 iron banner week.

I only wanted the Hunter helmet. Dropped on my first package. Needless to say I'm done with season 1 Iron Banner.

I just turned in my 27th package and I finally completed the armor set for my Titan.

3 RepliesI just need legs and helmet for my titan. Ive turned in 20 packages on just him and no armour. I don’t mean no helmet or legs. I mean no armour. At all. I’ve gotten like ten of that piece of shit scout rifle. 4 piece of shit sidearm.

I haven’t played much, but I’m only further being motivated not to because out of my 3 packages that I’ve hurt myself playing crucible, I’ve gotten a cape and 2 SMGs, the smg being one of 2 guns I received the first IB

Of course it is. You want me to splain it. Goes like this. There is absolutely NO loot in the game so they have managed a system to protect and stretch that sort of hide it by making sure all those slot machines don't spit out that loot. That is why no defined system of drops this time round. It didn't work in their favor though as people also realized all those items they had not yet got were of no value like 90% of the items they did get. If you have a hand full of weapons we could all likely name you have everything you need and are likely to ever need in the current game design. Chase over.

Can you get him to send me one of his spare pulse rifles? TBH that's the only thing I want this week and I'm 0/10. I can trade him 1 of my 3 grenade launchers or fusion rifles for it ;) To be fair though, there was never a way to get all the gear in a single IB week, at least you have a chance to get more than you could have under the older system.

You got lucky if only 2/3 of your packages were dupes. Ranked 5 times, got 5 hand cannons. I've not played IB since. Not worth it.

1 ReplyLast I checked I had turned in 66 between the two Iron Banners. Not one full set; hunter and titan both missing chest armor.

Honestly I complained a little to in the beginning. Turned in 35 packages the first time iron banner came, still didn't have an entire set. Since it came back I got my boots first try. It's not the best, I miss the old system but this new system certainly isn't bad or rigged.
