Loot system is TERRIBLE. No way I will ever play again.
As you can see in the image, I have spent countless hours completing the prestige raid several times only to get a cloak EVERY SINGLE TIME.
There's absolutely no possible way that this is "Random".... there are 5 pieces of armor from the set and you mean to tell me that I got the same one 4 different times back to back to back to back and this dropped randomly? That's complete nonsense... I don't think you know how random works. You guys have bugged the loot drops in order for people to not get the items they need. This has to be the most unethical behavior I've ever noticed from a video game studio.
I can't even begin to tell you how pissed I am that I've spent so much time on this game only to get royally screwed over on the drops. It's not like the prestige raid is easy to beat... It takes a really good team of players focusing and communicating and having lots of patience with each other. And the reward for finally completing it after dozens of hours? The same crap item over and over.... yeah, great work Bungie... NOT!! never playing this stupid game again... Thank goodness Call of Duty comes out tomorrow!!

I had that problem with Ikora on all 3 characters. only kept getting the same thing over and over and over again. I made sure the next time i turned stuff in I did not have the item carried by the character but stashed in the vault. Might have been coincidence but after that, I started getting different pieces. Not sure if this is a similar situation, but make sure to not even carry that piece you keep getting. Maybe it will help. Hats off to you for going through that Raid multiple times. I just can't bring myself to do that. It is sad. Went through normal once and don't really have any desire to go back in. In D1 I had no problems going through the raids multiple times, but this one? It has nothing to do with it being difficult or anything. It is just not interesting and the reward system is ridiculously stupid...

Bungie plays stupid and will make an announcement later on when enough gamers complain about it. This announcement is to create the false hope that this company is "listening" and they will fix it knowing they already know how to fix it by not messing around with the cods. This has been going on 4 years now that this is childish of this company to play this game with their player base. It's to keep you grinding a pointless event and when they do fix it how ever long that takes. The Gullible gamers play their role and act as if Bungie is "listening" It's a cheap tactic that will not stop throughout destiny's life span. So I guess you will have to except that this company doesn't give a flying hoot. Their job it to keep you grinding. The only problem this time around, the loot sucks in this game...

1 ReplyIf I’m reading your stat card correctly, you are mostly / only clearing Calus in the raid. Calus Prestige only drops cloak and helmet. Hence why your inventory is filled with cloaks. If you want the full set, you have to do all the encounters. Different drops from different encounters.

Yup. That's how it works. I've needed a helmet on my Hunter for three weeks now. I get cloaks and chest pieces. It's obviously weighted, which it was in D1 as well. In D1 though it worked because the game was fun and rolls were worth grinding for. D2 is a tedious, boring game after the 100 hour mark. Before you fanboys chime in,yes...100 hours makes it worth the money spent, but I'm never going to spend a dime in Eververse until they fix the loot system and add choice to crucible. Eververse in D1 was my way of tipping for good service. D2 is like the waitress brought the food and drinks,but hasn't been back to refill drinks and bring more salsa in the last half hour. You don't get a tip for that.

Once upon a time, a flaming blue hair-do was a 'must have' - and desirable thing; especially for the buff that came with it...and the decent half-chance of an 'exotic' drop, or for a piece of much-needed armour or gear... But, that was then... Now, to see the occasional Guardian sporting a 'halo' (😇) - makes one wonder...and ponder - the reason, 'why?' Why bother? When the fight just ain't worth the candle, i.e., (stupidly-) Timed NFs / Prestige anything / the (current) D2 Raid / 'Competitive' Crucible / Trials of the Whine... / Strikes / etc... SMH 🙄 That's just my take on things! 😁 YMMV

1 ReplyEasily one of the worst loot systems I've seen in a game. Even when you finally get a really cool Exotic, you realise you can't wear it, or you need to take off one of your others because you can only wear one of the f*cking things at a time. Urgh!!

2 RepliesRandom number generators with small amounts of numbers, like 5 (for 5 armor pieces) will always have a small chance of rolling the same number over and over again. You saying there's no way it's random because you got the same piece 5 times is like saying a dice is broken or faulty because you rolled three 5 times. It's how random rolls work. You got unlucky, just relax dude. No reason to be upset and quit a game just because you have terrible luck.

I'm sure when I beat Calus again I'll get the Warlock bond again.....while my friend already has almost all the Titan armor pieces except the helmet.

I went almost 6 wks waiting for boots on one character and 5 wks on the other. Did all the weekly stuff etc. the raid, which I only did twice (got the mark 3 or 4 times and not other armor pieces. I would do the raid more, but no one is playing right now. Now I'm too burnt out to put together decent armor.

Like...You need a 305 chest to make your character 305. Instead the RNG give you the chest..it always give everything but the chest for weeks. It will make you angry every week. Or RNG will give you crap guns that you rarely use. You like AR, Scout, Rocket...don't like HC,Pulse,Fusion,Shotgun,Side Arm,Sniper. Every time you decrypt a powerful Engram...it always become HC,Pulse,Fusion,Shotgun,Side Arm,Sniper. All of these they do it in purpose to slow down our progress. Its not like 305 is super good or what ever...We just want the max...so we can start collecting/building armor for each Subclass. In 1 month from now...305 will be obsolete anyway...why keep screwing player???? Why not make them happy to play...has progression. Getting the same stuff over and over is stupid. We complaining this since D1. They think its ok...we will forget..NO..! I still angry about Gjallarhorn...Didn't get it up until few months before they nerf it. You know what...Its happened the same things with my Ex wife...I was complaining for years...until finally I said "enough is enough"...DIVORCE..! Never look back... :) GFs are much better....LOL

Dude a reward is indicative of "how they view your efforts and performance". The raids are supposed to be the hardest activities and end game. If they don't value your time, effort, and your performance in completing those activities for the hardest things to do... why expect a different result from the people who didn't care the first three years when every improvement hasn't been put into the game. Hey now tho... I needed 6 nameless midnights practically back to back.... but guess what?!?!? A giant warm -blam!- you trying to get a kinetic mod.... no this is not random at all.
