Bungo take a look at how devs should interact with their player base.
Free to play game and they show complete transparency of what is happening in the game and show that they are actually listening.
Rather than an off the cuff we hear you
I wasn't comparing games at all .I was pointing out that I'm sick of all the cloak and dagger behaviour from bungie.
I've been a player since day 1 and I just wish they would communicate with us.
I really feel the attitude is we have your money so just deal with it.
I would be more than happy if they just made a post telling us how they are trying to improve the game and a rough timescale.
Don't think we as a community are asking for much there.

11 RepliesEdited by spartanx169x: 10/24/2017 5:36:30 PMSo you enjoy spending roughly 15 minutes of prep for roughly 2 minutes of action. 1. first roughly 10 minutes- Loot everything in sight. 2. Spend next 2 to 5 minutes relocating to new area. 3. BAM, get killed by somebody you never saw, even if you did see them you had no chance because they are a pro and or have a better weapon than you. IF you enjoy that have at it. I have no problem at in saying I would never be the last one standing . The thing is 90% of the players will never be either. How long do you think casuals will think that is fun?

1 ReplyMy "Fortnite: Battle Royale" experience summed up in several sentences: What the -blam!-? How the -blam!-? Where the -blam!-? When the -blam!-? Why the -blam!-? Who the -blam!-?

Game looks horrible.

2 RepliesFortnite is so bad, it makes D2 look like the perfect game.

26 RepliesEdited by i3thDisciple: 10/24/2017 9:35:45 PMyou can't compare fortnite to destiny in any way and fortnite is a lagfest AND fortnite is pay to win, that wouldn't go well with the destiny community
-
But bungie listened to the community and are adding snowball fights and hockey......🙄 because that's what some 13 year old prepubescent kid who goes by the name luke Smith wanted.
-
The next update for the game is big.
-
3 RepliesThe Battle Royale is F2P. Which is only 10% of the actual game.
-
Yep there are 0 games that directly compete with Destiny so there is 0 reason to be so secretive. It just PISSES PAYING customers off.

35 Repliesbungie is a company, not your mom. even though your mom has time to come downstairs, and say "i love you", and tell you how you are a special snowflake, every day, bungie simply doesn't have the resources to do that. D2 is the way it is because they "listened" to the community. they don't need to reply to every thread to "hear you".

Rather than an off the cuff we hear you
You guys are hilarious. Fortnite has zero content. It's a sweatfest of spawn in and hide and wait for someone to walk by. "Great game". Keep complaining tho, seems like that's your new pass time. Buying games and then crying about them.

Rather than an off the cuff we hear you
“thanks for the feedback guardian! We’re glad you are enjoying Destiny 2, we like it too! See you at Twitch Con! Keep giving us your feedback in the forums guardian!” (Sarcasm- this is not an ACTUAL Bungie response)

I've always respected Jagex, the creators of Runescape. As an 11 year RS vet, I've always been satisfied with how they implemented updates, content, and interacted with their community.

4 RepliesDestiny 2 is not that bad... People are just playing it wayyyyy toooo fast/muchhh... Enjoy other aspects of life maybe? I have enjoyed Destiny 2 a lot. For the most part.... People are being so toxic on these forums!!!

I started playing Warframe earlier this year and have definitely enjoyed it. However regardless of the actual gameplay, Bungie could really learn something from the way that DE engage with their community. As just one example they do 3 weekly streams, they're light hearted and often funny. They showcase fan art, give away in game currency, pick our their top 10 comments made in the twitch chat. Watch a Bungie stream and it just seems too dry, overly staged and over managed.
-
And check out the DE team approach to Warframe.
-
The makers of Warframe, Digital Extremes also does a great job of interacting with the community.
-
7 RepliesAlso their community isn’t full of assholes who expect a game company to bend to a community member’s personal and selfish wants and expectations
-
2 RepliesYou know a huge percentage of games have no interaction with the devs. That's the norm

4 RepliesEdited by › Gratuitous ☆ Nudity: 10/25/2017 1:17:53 AMFree to play after they got their money by charging $30 - $150 for early access on the main game which is going to become free to play also next year. Epic needed to make some money on the game before going f2p because they spent about 7 years developing it.

4 RepliesEdited by Chugg: 10/25/2017 12:37:48 PMHonestly, I think they would be more transparent, and communicate on a more regular basis, but Activision probably has their balls in a vice.

7 RepliesThey BAN Cheaters. Something Bungie could never afford to do

with how toxic this community is you cant blame them for not wanting too. i do remeebr the big deal they made form making ther won twitch studio though, semes a waste of money with it not being used.
-
1 ReplyIt is because FOrtnite devs (dont know what company they are) are still trying to build a customer base, bungie did that more then 10 years ago... Bungue have nothing else to prove.

Yeah I must say I was impressed . From the loading screen msg of servers and how to set them , plus the sniper rifle adjustment. The blog was good , but to be fair I’m not sure how often they do them. It does seem that others have learnt from mistakes and put little things in place to keep their players informed. I’m sure if Bungie did a piece in front of camera once a month it would be well received. Doesn’t even have to be live. It would go a long way. If it was honest. But they seem able to mess up the written posts so maybe it’s not such a good idea
