Stop giving me exotics currently in my inventory! (BUNGIE WILL ADDRESS)
Grinded for 7 hrs today, got 3 more repeat exotics.
7 hrs and zero progress!
How can it be called RNG if you exclude rewards 100% of the time?
That's where I am at.
I kept hoping that I could beat the odds, but 750 Plus Heroic Events later the odds beat me.
I no longer anticipate enjoyment at getting the 4 items I don't have.
The idea of getting them after this much effort actually fills me with resentment.
Edit: bungee posted a list of fixes today on October 26th included in those was addressing duplication of Exotics so I feel like this issue is finally being taken care of.

It's a broken system for it keeps trying to give you a "better" version of the exotic you have with you/on for it thinks you use it.

For me rng means 157 bad new hand cannons to 1 antiope. That's not a random number generator it's a repetitive number generator. This game is designed around getting tons of duplicates but the rushed the game out so the had "ideas" for them to be not a waste of life but nothing has been implemented. What are you doing right now bungie the games out both dlc are made what is it that's keeping you from making any improvements to the game? That's what 100% focus needs to be on how can we fix this asap not oh in 3 years the game will be good again guys but then we will drop d3 and ruin everything again

I barely get any exotics, let alone new ones. Hard light right now is the only one that I don’t have that I know I want, I’m not really sure what else I’m missing. I pretty much quit anyway and went back to d1, when I get in the mood to play destiny at all.

Gonna bump this, because anytime I try and raise this issue my thread gets instantly buried. But yea, I'm also missing 4 exotics and only get repeats. Coincidence?

1 ReplyOr at least give them at a higher level so they're useful. I'm literally stuck near 300 because the high level shit i do get isn't anything i can use as i don't use grenade launchers and such. We'd all be way ahead if we could infuse shotguns into rocket launchers.

3 RepliesI'm down to 2 pieces of armor for all 52 items. I've reached the point where I've realized grinding is fairly pointless and that I might as well loosen up and play when I want for fun. I've run the math and if it takes 2 hours per exotic, it'll take 72 hours just to have an even shot at getting both the items I'm missing. And if I don't get them I'll just look at those 72 hours as wasted time.

1 ReplyWith everything wrong with D2....this is a wasted complaint. Honestly, it's called RNG and if you play a game like this you just deal with it because it's just part of the game. Honestly you should just be happy that there are still things in this pathetic game you are still trying to get and that you actually find that you have a reason you want to play it.

1 Replywait.....u only grinded 7hrs? and u are mad you made 0 progress? You must be new to the realm of RNG. If Bungie ever implements true RNG model into Destiny you will probably go into a seisure. The game is not a marathon, spread out your grinds and u will find progress. If there was no repeats u will surely be back here sayin something like "I have all the exotics, xur is useless and the game is stale" But look on the bright side, I am sure you are flush with shaders.
