Glad to hear that. I can only play 4 or 5 games at a time. Pvp is so terrible to me. I am not a God by any means but I do ok. I can hold my own in a 1v1 but this 4v4 is not for me. The matches tend to be fought in the same places all the time. I was in a match of control and the other team just held b and slaughtered my team. Just sat in the middle and didn't move. Then I won't even go into how many times a team member shoulder charges me out of heavy pickup.

matched against you several times... relatively fun games (and by relatively fun, I mean you were one of the only teams I've matched against in D2 that wasn't plagued by nightmarish lag). compared to getting constantly dropped into games in progress against full teams of players living on the other side of the world, with the score already sixty points in their favor, and only one other team mate on my side, or to running against full teams of players completely out of my skill bracket, I'd rate the experience as mostly positive. won a game or two. got beaten squarely a few times. it definitely wasn't as painful as the crucible regularly is, so, you know, thanks for that...

Crucible is pretty much the only thing I'll agree on how bad it is right now.

2 RepliesBut you can still have individual skill... You just have to adapt accordingly. Ie use some skill. There is no game that you can rush the team individually and come out on top. But focusing on the exotic armor and mods, you can become far better than in d1. I am no pvp sweaty, and there are far better players out there, but focusing on a build has helped me play the way I play. Sure, if I do not use any skill and peak a lane against two players hard scoping it, I will die, but d2 pvp is more like chess now. It is definitely built around team play now, but it does not mean you are locked to holding hands. Example, on a hunter you can use a foetracer helmet with an armor build with kinetic balance. A player gets the kill clip(bonus damage), AND bonus damage on low health marked targets... the ttk is insane. Mix that with an elemental weapon with glass half full and you are the one standing with a head to head fight. There are combinations all over the place that when done right, the leg you have above others is pretty dramatic. It is a lot more work and trial and error, but there are builds that dramatically help improve your ttk, thus removing some of the need to hold hands.

1 ReplyBeing successful in Crucible isn't too hard anymore. Run with your team, use an auto for mid-range, sidearm/sub for close range, run and jump past long sights. Invis if you're Hunter, double pulse or suppressor for Titans, Devour or Stormcaller Warlock. Super to secure Heavy, proceed to pubstomp. Now is that fun? Over and over again? Lolno. If we had different game modes it might not be as much of an issue, but we don't. As a wise man once said, "Yeah this game sucks".

10 hours is pretty extreme, I do Crucible almost daily and I enjoy it, but 10 hours, wow.

Damn, i can't even make it through one match. That match pitted 4 solo against a 4 man fireteam, needless to say it was over after 2 minutes. Full game of witcher 3 was on sale on psn so i'll be busy for awhile anyway.

2 RepliesTo answer your question, I take the game for what it is and try not to complain over every little thing like most people do on here and plus this game can't get any worse than what it is.. It's only been out for some weeks so give it time. Also helps to have friends to play this with.

I find that I enjoy the current crucible when i use the Sandwasp veist auto to shutdown Urials gift. Or any blue for that matter. Or to beat a full team using coms with a group of randoms that are giving each other the silent treatment.
