Dear Mida Multi-Tool Crybabies
Of course there are going to be people whining about how Mida is 'OP'. I do not deny that the gun is one of the most potent guns in Destiny 2. It is a very good gun. Although it is not worthy of a nerf. There are many alternatives to Mida that even have a better time to kill. There are the 450 RPM auto rifles such as the Origin Story that will usually beat any other gun in a close to far-medium range. For players who want even more range, go nightshade. It is great pulse rifle. It even has a fantastic time to kill. There is also the Lincoln Green pulse. If you want an alternate scout rifle you can use the nameless midnight. The gun is one of the best in Destiny 2 for nearly any activity. If you really want a 200 RPM scout there is one that can drop from Banshee-44 (Gunsmith). So unless there are going to be nerfs of every other gun in the game there is no point.

The only nice thing about it is the move speed. Otherwise, it's not a very good scout rifle. The only reason why so many are using it is because it is the exotic quest that always gives a higher power level.

People use the Mida right now because most people don't know the meta and it's a very reliable option especially with team shots. There definitely better weapons but the Mida is very good as of right now.

People are using the mida bc it's super easy to get. If it wasn't part of the story mission rewards we wouldn't have this many people using them. It's in line with other scouts.

I just don't get why they would give everyone the Mida. It takes any fun out of crucible since you have to use it to keep up.

I think we need more time before anyone decides if it should be nerfed. Though it is a bit rampant in crucible so far so maybe it should be tweaked a little bit.

Edited by Crewchief0206: 9/15/2017 8:06:26 PMConsidering you get the MIDA quest line after you finish the Cade quest line in earth and then the steps to complete are stupid simple (took me two hours and that was only because I couldn't get a fifth scout rifle to drop) and boom you have a badass gun, no body should be bitching about it. You can literally solo the whole freaking quest line, every part with no problem. People just don't understand how to use scout rifles and want easy mode kills with an AR or Sub, that's why their bitching. I'm not good at crucible at all, never will claim to be, but in this case, for those bitching about the MIDA in crucible I have to simply say; get better you fu*king cry babies.

The reason its so popular isn't because its "op" or "the best gun in the game". It's because the style of play everyone is playing now. Everyone is sitting back with their team waiting on the team shot and the safest gun to use at the moment would be Mida for that style of play.. It's also a good gun to pick at you from a distance without getting too close and getting team shot yourself. But its not a weapon that dominates in all engagements. Auto's and handcannons own the close to midrange. While smg's and sidearms are best using in close quarters. Either to learn how to position yourself in a way where you're not so vulnerable in open area's or stick with your team.

The problem with MIDA is not really the gun itself, except for the high flinch in PvP, but the PvP maps. Pretty much all the maps are meant for guns like the MIDA and completely shun high-damage, slow-firing scouts and snipers. There's no point in using these two weapons since the map layouts favor mid to short range engagements. The only way I see a way at fixing this without slightly nerfing MIDAs flinching bullets is to reduce the flinch taken for each gun, manly snipers.
