Of course there are going to be people whining about how Mida is 'OP'. I do not deny that the gun is one of the most potent guns in Destiny 2. It is a very good gun. Although it is not worthy of a nerf. There are many alternatives to Mida that even have a better time to kill. There are the 450 RPM auto rifles such as the Origin Story that will usually beat any other gun in a close to far-medium range. For players who want even more range, go nightshade. It is great pulse rifle. It even has a fantastic time to kill. There is also the Lincoln Green pulse. If you want an alternate scout rifle you can use the nameless midnight. The gun is one of the best in Destiny 2 for nearly any activity. If you really want a 200 RPM scout there is one that can drop from Banshee-44 (Gunsmith). So unless there are going to be nerfs of every other gun in the game there is no point.

1 ReplyI think the main issue with it is, it’s easily the best scout archetype, next to Nameless Midnight, has amazing stability and ranged, paired with HCR. I think a good balance to the weapon is just take the HCR rounds off, or turn down the bonus movement speed slightly.

3 RepliesI'm just tired of bullets that seemingly wrap around the walls when i dodge into cover and kill me. I thought they fixed that in D1 why is it back? Freaking "wanted" bullet physics.

Right now mida 98% kills in trial according to trial report. Has over 2 million kills last time check. Second best think auto at 600,000. Bungie needs take away hcr or 1 same weapon person on team. More people try new weapons out. Mida perfectly Fine without hcr

25 RepliesLol, most people dont want it nerfed because they are using it to get EZ kills. 👌😂 Absolutely pathetic. 😧

2 RepliesIts silly that people will winge until MIDA gets nerfed. There will always be a gun that is the superior option in any situation! Yes mostly everyone is using MIDA in trials but that's the point, if everyone is using it then everyone is still on a fair playing field. Yes you could nerf it but then you are going to end up nerfing every other gun in the game. Its like in D1, if you are playing on a map like Bannerfall then the logical choice would be to use scout rifles and a sniper but if you were playing a map such as The Anomaly then a more close range weapon such as a hand canon or AR would be the better option. Does that mean they needed a nerf? No! Thats the whole point of having different weapon types. What fun would it be if you didnt have to think a little about the best choice for any given map and situation. People need to get over themselves and realize that if MIDA is a good option for trials then either use it just like everyone else or get the upper hand by engaging the other team at close range with AR's or something! If your still loosing then its clearly not the guns fault and your just bad at PVP, stick to PVE.

3 RepliesWhile I don't necessarily think it is OP. When 98% of Trials teams last week had at least one MIDA user I'm worried about weapon diversity already. The fact HCR was removed from it in D1 and now it's back is obnoxious and there are very little Scout Rifles that can compete with it.
-
1 ReplyI find it funny how they removed HCR in D1 because it was considered OP and now they are back in D2. Expect them to be removed again because of all the crybaby snowflakes.
-
9 RepliesThe Mida is a great gun, but there are so many that can be used against it such as Uriels gift, the conspirator, and for close courters the Adjudicator. Are all guns I use and demolish Mida users. The Mida is a great gun but doesn't deserve a nerf.
-
I love that people call anything that kills them once OP...like really?? The weapon on it's own is not OP. Any weapon in the game with teamshotting can be great. Pointing fingers is this community's talent.
-
I dont think they should nerf it, but they sure should of left that gun back in D1

3 RepliesTheres a SPECIFIC reason why they took away the radar when you ADS in Destiny. Its so that people don't just sit back and hard aim at a doorway all game. Its not that the Mida is OP, its moreso that it turns the Crucible into a -blam!-ing campfest. I JUST played a game of supremacy where the entire enemy team just camped and didnt really try to pick up any crests. Didnt even make it halfway to the score limit by the time the game ended. The weakness of scout rifles is that while theyre aiming, theyre easier to quickly flank while they have no radar. But MIDA just throws away bungies original design philosophy and lets you sit back and camp and and never be vulnerable.

1 ReplyI don't think Mida is the issue. I think exotics just need a crucible nerf. Any exotic I use I shred. Could be the Mida, vigilence wing, skyburner, coil. doesn't matter. Exotics are just crucible op. Not just Mida. Mida just happens to be really popular.

1 ReplyI don't care if they nerf it or not. I just use my setup and have fun

It's exactly as it was in d1. It needs the high caliber rounds tuned down a tad and that's it in my opinion. Buff hand cannons, buff the shit out of pulses. Leave autos alone. Heavy weapons are all just fine.

1 ReplyI have only played one or two matches in PvP in this game since I don't really care for it. Half the other teams were using it and I outgunned them using Uriel's Gift auto rifle and got called a hacker and got a message saying 'reported'. lul Point is most people can't use it effectively enough and the ones who can are facing others than can equally counter them with other weapons. It's not op. Learn map positioning and strafe when you can and you'll be fine.

Just back out before the 4th shot
-
1 ReplyNerf it, then drop it down the memory hole like Pocket Infinity, never to be seen or spoken of again...
-
1 ReplyI think mida is balanced. I run origin story and it outguns me in longer ranges which it should. Medium range is a toss up and I usually win close to mid range. I think its balanced pretty good.
-
3 RepliesMIDA will forever and always be the one gun everyone looks to and says the person using the mida? Good on them for not using the meta *D2 comes out* NERF MIDA MIDA users: um nightshade has a better ttk and in most maps and situations has enough range to beat the MIDA Everyone else: NERF MIDA
-
2 RepliesYeah mida is too strong. A fusion rifle nerf would help

Bungie needs to get with the program and have separate stats for PVE and PVP. Stop nerfing PVE content to appease the PVP crowd
-
2 RepliesIt's not broken but high cal needs to be tuned a little to much stagger Reduce it a little then it'll be fine Also all the people saying it's not the best... Why is every one using the thing in trials camping at the back of the Map....
-
8 RepliesMIDA multitool greatly deserves a nerf. Even this early on a clear meta has developed for crucible where people simply run the MIDA because it's the best gun in the game and there's no reason to use any other one. It has insane aim assist, and absurd reload speed for a scout rifle. It's damage dropoff is pretty much nothing. Also the flinch is completely bananas considering it has the best fire rate.
-
18 RepliesMida is the only scout in the game worth using. At least for PVE. Even handcannons kinda feel weird and underpowered.

1 ReplyEdited by evlwarhed: 9/17/2017 12:30:29 PMNerfs should b banned from destiny! NO weapon/gear is OP if all in a match use it!( thus, no weapon is OP) We ALL have the same chance to get anything in destiny( even easier is mida is a quest and guaranteed) Pvp- bare with me- if it was real life and it was 4v4, and of course, u wanted best wep/gear combo to survive; I'd bet 90% confidently would choose mida. This isn't a crutch wep( to just get easy kills), it's a proven kill machine. I myself prolly won't use mida in regular crucible/banner( I like running what is fun and out of meta); but I might choose to use in the "try hard" trials of the 9. All weps seem to be in a nice spot, they all react the way it's class should for the most part, which leaves the preferred perks of each guardian the freedom to choose what's best for them. An elite using a HC can murder a mida all day, or anyone good with a wep of any kind. It comes down to skill, awareness, and teamwork. I got killed by mida several times, at same time my AR, HC,pulse, scout( not mida) also took down a mida user several times. The conversation should always lead to a slight, specific BUFF to the item that is obviously lacking; not a nerf. Bungie has demonstrated for 3 years they have NO fuukin clue what balance is. IMO ATM, balance is working pretty good, there is crap, and there is good. Peeps are going to use the best they have for the most part. Mida is free and guaranteed, why would t someone use it? ✌️
