Am I the only one who misses the Grimoire?
It's noticeably missing from the app now since the update to support D2. I can't be the only one who enjoyed reading over the lore cards I unlocked right?
Edit: while I do enjoy the scannable pieces of lore I honestly think they're a bit lacking and the lore page on the exotics and some legendary gear is cool I still want to read up on other pieces of lore. They do either need to add a codex for the lore both in game and on the app or bring back the old Grimoire. (Hopefully it's the codex option.)

I miss checking other players grimoire. It was usually a good way to tell if someone had the experience to hold up in the game. As for the little stories that came with the grimoire cards, meh. Never cared, never will.

I think i missed grimoire score more than anything else. felt good to have goals to strive for. in terms of the grimoire and lore cards itself... i personally never made many connections between them, but thoroughly enjoyed reading the work of people more devoted to it

I liked getting now grimore from new maps and stuff, always fun unlocking things, plus was a good measure of a players abilities.

Yeah, it's a big chunk missing. I'll add that all your stats would be nice too, weapon kills and whatnot. It's not really important, but something I liked looking at from time to time.

before the release , i really hope Bungie put in game a achievement system with a lot of little things to do .... undread and undread things ! (kill 100 cabals with this gun , jump here , do that ect ect ect ect ) with Journal and some score point (same systeme than achievment in many mmo or blizzard game) This system give us also a pleasur to complete the game , and Grimoire was one of this thing ... i hope Bungie listen them community and will put pretty soon kind of this feature ..... (sorry for my poor english)

To me it seems like without the Grimoire cards, there isn't really a good use for the companion app. Also, I know it meant close to nothing, but I really miss seeing my Grimoire score beside my name.

2 RepliesI like the new system, but I miss the old. Having lore in the game is an incredible step forwards, but if you want to hear lore more than once, you have to find the item and scan it again. We also don't get complex stories like the Book of Sorrows.

2 RepliesI solely miss it for the stat tracking, but I understand why that was done away with. It was weaponized by far to many try hards. I wish I could still personally look at my stats even if everyone was invisible to others. I liked looking at how many times I raided, how many kills I had with "x" weapon, thrall kills, shank kills, etc, etc.

No, your not actually. It kind of pisses me off that they updated and took things away from here. The main reason being the grimoire.

I'm quite happy with them focusing their attention on the actual game. There's only so much they are willing to do within a givin space and and amount of time. I prefer what D2 has delivered over D1 by miles.

5 Repliesyup. not necessarily the lore but, knowing what to collect, what is available, using the weapon cards to see what I have used and how many kills etc. Now we have shaders.. what don't I have we have ships.. which ones don't I have exotics.. yup same thing emblems.. you bet.. missing those as well. so much is chnged for the better but, a few things seem to be missing that really didn't need to be ommitted.

The cards were nice and all, but the in game Lore tabs on all of the exotic armor and weapon pieces are pretty awesome.

I miss the grimoire. They should just unlocked all the grimoire cards for everyone. You can still go on to planetdestiny.com if you ever feel like reading them. I feel like they may change some of the lore in D2's story line and that's why they removed D1's grimoire cards.
