It's noticeably missing from the app now since the update to support D2. I can't be the only one who enjoyed reading over the lore cards I unlocked right?
Edit: while I do enjoy the scannable pieces of lore I honestly think they're a bit lacking and the lore page on the exotics and some legendary gear is cool I still want to read up on other pieces of lore. They do either need to add a codex for the lore both in game and on the app or bring back the old Grimoire. (Hopefully it's the codex option.)

2 RepliesPLEASE UPVOTE THIS - im stuck in a clan - long story short below (yes i did all the right things to leave) Please help everyone. Can you please get this exposure so if anyone else has this issue, they may have a voice. 1) I started a clan (I am the leader) 2) shows up on xbox one destiny 2 3) Bungie.net does not show im in a clan (always asks if i want to create one) 4) I cant manage my clan roster, so I cannot make anyone else leader, therefore cant leave 5) Roster does not show on Bungie.net or the App because for some reason they think im not in a clan 6) Apparently I am in a clan cause i earn points and it shows in on Xbox Destiny 2 Clans 7) I cannot accept an invite from another clan cause i am the leader (refer to #4) 8) im in hell...

Edited by Fatal: 9/13/2017 9:06:27 AMno not really, all of the story was hidden in the grimoire when it should be in the actual game. that's why they added the scannable objects, a better in depth story and the lore pages in the exotic gear. Tho i did like ghost hunting

Edited by RoachB0nd: 9/13/2017 7:17:08 AMNope and the games lacks explanation where do this new fallen house comes from and the name of it too.
-
Yep, viewable in game with a grimoire score so we know if we found it all.
-
No, the in game lore is good to have the grimoire and armory were interesting to have on the web, the armory was especially informative.
-
I miss ghost hunting really. Wish it was scannable objects that just gave little random facts, but ghosts have the real lore, and they just made a lore tab in game that has all your ghosts and you just click on it and it brings up a text screen.
-
Tbh hunting for dead ghosts and other collectibles was always a favorite activity for me every time they added content. To hell with all of the people that claimed that part of the game was unnecessary

2 RepliesAYE! They did a great job of keeping the main story related lore in the dialogue but I would have enjoyed the extra lore. Also I do believe that they did not get risky enough with the story in this game. Yeah the speaker died. So the -blam!- what? All I did with that guy was buy the occasional cloak anyways. I wasn't really attached to him, and I barely really saw him. THIS IS OBVIOUSLY GOING TO BE DIFFERENT SO PLS NO FLAMERINO Why couldn't we have NOT reclaimed the city instantly? We could have had the newer social space be by a non corrupted shard of the traveler while characters are dying left and right. Here's kinda how it could've gone: You know every guardian's favorite Texan waifu? yeet. In the first mission her ship gets shot down and you barely make it onto the cabal command ship while she goes MIA. Rahool? That blue faced -blam!-er gave the wrong engram to the cabal and got himself shot by a better weapon. Tyra Karn takes over. Shiro? that guy at the temple? eh, on the mountain that the falcon lead you on you see a cabal give him the ol' one two shield bump. Give the player more time wandering around, so very alone, vulnerable. Give them another guardian they run into and kill that one off too. Feeling hopeless yet? Now the falcon comes back to you and leads you to the farm

3 RepliesYes. The story is in the stupid game now. If you want extra lore, run adventures and look around for all of the scannable objects. This is so much better than Destiny 1.
-
I may be in the minority but I liked how it was with the grimiore only on the website
-
Only because the scannables and adventures are underwhelming compared to the stories in the grimoire. The exotic descriptions seem to be a lot weaker too.
-
10 RepliesD1 players: No more grimoire! We want more story! Bungie: *makes longer campaign, more than an hour of cutscenes, and removes grimoire* D2 players: the story sucks and also we want grimoire back
-
Edited by The Quillster: 9/12/2017 11:46:21 PMI miss it too, although it would be nice if we could get weapon and scannable lore in the app, at least.
-
If people hadn't notice there is a Lore when hovering over characters. In the game, there is also things to scan that has some story to them making you want to investigate certain areas in the game, however it does sucks to not have grimore there is so little to the lore and little things to talk about on the objects that needs to be scanned
-
I really liked the Grimoire.
-
I miss it too. Yes, it is nice having some in-game lore, but nowhere near as deep or thought out.
-
I never read the grimoire, only posts people made deciphering it. But I did enjoy the grind to get my grimoire score up.
-
Nah, bungo just needs to play Fallout to learn how open world exploration games are really done. Fallout 3 has a better system than this mutthafukka
-
Miss it soo much
-
What's glimoire? Can I buy it?
-
I miss it too. With new planets and enemy variants, it would be good to know more about them. I thought there was going to be a lore tab, but the only in game lore seems to be for weapons, armor and sub-classes.
-
yes you are.
-
Like that it's in game but should've been both
-
I also liked having the grimoire score and seeing what I was missing out on so I could go do it

1 ReplyThe grimoire, the mission tab, etc. It's funny how Bungie takes one step forward then two back. Actually it's more so sad than funny.
