Enough with bdobbins. Please. I may defend D2 but I know that it isn't shaping up to be perfect, and I am open to criticism. But BDobbins is the most incompetent, attention whore-ing, pandering edgelord out. He constantly makes himself sound smart by talking fast, making these huge, ranting exaggerations (it's actually a strategy I see a lot, the longer you rant for, the smarter you sound as long as you top it off with some shitty one-liner that can be broken down into complete bull shit), and using very broad stroking phrases so that people think he knows what he is talking about. (One example I can think of is he says "it's a disgrace to the gaming industry" effectively making him sound like he has a deep understanding of the video-game world). In this video he talks about confirmation bias and that's why people are still hyped for D2, basically calling millions of opinions dumb because "they don't know any better" Anyone with half a brain could just look at this argument and see that it can be applied to all of the people hating on D2. The shittiest part of this video however, is the fact that he is rambling on about psychology, which he knows full well, most of his audience will not have extensive knowledge on psychology, again, making him sound smart and therefore superior. Oh yeah he then just calls millions of people stupid for disagreeing with him, so there's that too, if you needed any other reason as to why this guy deserves zero respect. His entire channel is just built on saying how bad games are so that people think he is smart when in reality he provides nothing that hasn't been said before, and he presents it in a way that contradicts himself. I have no respect for people like this, and you shouldn't either. But that's just my 2 cents.

I'm just going to mute you here, but first, I'm just going to say that that guy's never going to say anything positive about Destiny, it could have 240 FPS on consoles and dedicated servers and he'd still make a video like this. His bias is so strong and apparent here that at this point he's just bashing the game senselessly, and anyone who thinks that this video is anything other than a bashpost should be muted if you aren't one of those bashers yourself. "dedicated servers" .... people keep on using those words, but I don't not think it means what they think it means... At the most basic level, it means “A server that’s committed to one entity or purpose.” From the perspective of a Web hosting company, it could be defined along the lines of a server rented for one's exclusive use, but it is hosted in the hosting company's data center. From the perspective of an in-house network manager, it could be defined along the lines of a server dedicated to one purpose such as an app server, a print server, a mail server, a Web server or another purpose exclusively... like hosting game instances. An old laptop in the corner of your room that hosts a media server and nothing else is by definition a dedicated server. A box running Exchange services and nothing but exchange services for a company (even though it is multiple services under that umbrella), is still a dedicated server because it is committed to running those Exchange services for the company and nothing more. An old box running Linux for DNS or Firewall/Security for the network can be classed as a dedicated server. When you use a desktop as both your desktop AND to host services on the network at the same time, it is no longer a dedicated server-- what makes it dedicated is that it is committed to providing specific networked services or exclusive use for a given entity's network servicing needs. The label simply describes the server is purposed to a specific role or entity... nothing to do with dependency or how we connect to them, or anything like that. It is purely about how the server is purposed, and nothing more.

While the ability cite historical figures and scientific studies is impressive, his logic is just about as coherent as his contradictory statements derived from his stunningly superficial understanding of what's happening.
