Would love to see customizable hideouts, living quarters or ship interior.
TL;dr. Would love to have a place to display my gear, triumphs and trophies.
Some games I have played over the years have had these sort of "living quarters" for the player to fix up, outfit and display their achievements. Destiny, for myself, has been about collecting. Weapons, armor, ghosts, sparrows, ships and shaders. These are my Pokémon essentially and I want to catch them all.
Imagine having some sort of space cruiser like an old Dreadnaught or Ketch (since I've yet to see any Earth based space cruisers) that you repurposed for yourself. It would have a hanger bay where you could display your ships (or at least your favorites). An armory where you could have your guns on a wall on display with a shooting range in the back. You could test your weapon on targets, get feedback on damage, accuracy and drop off by comparing numbers at different ranges. A wall of weapons that display at least all the exotics you have if not the sum of your inventory.
A living quarter that has mannequins to display several of your favorite armor setups and shader combos as well as a Ghost display case that would be like clothes for your ghost. Kind of like the model ship displays on Mass Effect for reference.
There could be furnishings and parts for such you acquire over time throughout your play to spruce up your living arrangements.
All of this is to help revel in your own accomplishments. Let you "live" in the world instead of pass through it. I have memories from obtaining certain things in the game and sometimes it would be nice to revisit those while it's on display. Perhaps even have some friends come visit and look around.
Edit 1: when I think about endgame content in the past it seemed like you did it for weapons. Once you got the weapons there was nothing to use them for. It would be great to have other things you could try and get after the dust has settled from the raids. Little bits of content that would not be hard to add that takes no balancing, needing, buffing or otherwise that would continually break the game in some way shape or form.

GTA style. House in the hills, spot downtown and a warehouse, all filled with sweet rides. I hated in D1 I had to choose what I could keep, especially with three characters and four vault spots for one full suit of armor.

2 RepliesI've been on here a few times over the last three years asking for a Skyrim Hearthfire style dlc in Destiny that also had shader creators and ship/speeder builder that uses parts and broken down shaders to create unique to us stuff. Must been too much too ask for but hey, at least in 2 we can have two primaries 🙄 After playing Warframe I became annoyed at how Bungie has all these dumbass ships in Destiny but we don't use em for anything other than a stupid loading screen but a F2P game can utilize one pretty damn well.

I would absolutely love this. (Especially a weapon rack). Originally I thought it could be in the Last City...but then Ghaul happened. It could be in the interior of our ships, though I am not sure if they are quite big enough.

1 ReplyI'd only want private quarters if the point was that when you finished end game activity you got a trophy that would be in that space. Like, you beat the raid so now your room has Gary's broken helmet.

I wouldn't want it to be a game where you fight for furniture but it would be fun to have a place to hang out say when I wait for a game to start or just a place to practice with my guns. I agree. This is my wishlist for things to change in destine: 1. I want a base somewhere, maybe on a preferred planet that the vangaurd have"hold of" or just a section of a planet that you or your friends could go to. I'm not saying that bungie has to customize fifty thousand different terrains for multiple players, but it would be nice to have a private place to train, hang out only with your friends, just play around, and maybe even hold evenhold events for your team. OK that last one might have been over the top a little, but you get the point! 2. I sorta want to be able to go to other places in the tower, I mean it's a huge place, in the intro it said that the human population had tripled, I just want to see more. 3. I want to be able to trade with other players, maybe they want a gun I have, maybe they want materials, or maybe they want a certain amount of glimmer or legendary marks for their sparrow. 4. I want to be able to watch crucible matches maybe as my ghost so I can hover around and watch players fight. I mean if bungie is afraid of players getting smart and asking their friends to be indestructible watch outs maybe they can turn off all ghost-to-player communication. 5. I want some more vendors like xur who might come around one random day in every second week every three months who might sell things from legendary marks (I think that would be cool) to special triple legendary engram that allows you to get three legendary things from one engram. They might also take orders for special hand picked items for bargain price so you might have something to look forward to the next partially random time they come. Maybe they could sell you the date of their next arrival. I know this will be hard to do but if they got someone from bungie to go to the reef or tower and act the role of a coded vendor that would be great. We'll that's my destiny wishlist that will probably never come true unless they make an all new expansion for legacy consoles

12 RepliesBasically ask them to do something like warframe. When I first started playing warframe you had a ship but you never did anything in it. Now you walk around in it and it's like your own personal space.

Heck yeah. That was on my wish list. Some sort of home base. That would certainly give me more connection with my guardian.
