Is Just Cause 3 just really boring to anyone else?
So as most of you know, Just Cause 3 is free for PS users this month. I remember when it first came out everyone praised it mostly and said it was really fun. And watching gameplay I thought it was too, just never got around to getting it.
But I downloaded and have played a few hours and am already really bored with it. The grappling is fun and makes you really mobile, but the gunplay is so unsatisfying to me and blowing shit up is only fun for an hour or 2. And that's basically all this game is.
Am I the only one who felt this way about it? Maybe I've just outgrown this kind of mindless action that this game advertises but idk.

Then it went on the Xbone summer sale a year ago with the season pass for like $25. Bought it, played it, loved it. Mindless fun, especially when you get creative with how you michael bay the shit out of everything. Wait there's a plot? Meh i don't care. I give it: 4 Michael Bay like explosions/5

2 RepliesMy dad has played them all and they always seemed like mindless/plotless/baseless/over the top BS. There are games where I can deal with unrealistic shit but the JC franchise is just loaded with ridiculousness.

I really enjoyed it, it can get repetitive yes, but when the thing you're repeating is blowing shit up I see no issue. I got creative and started tethering choppers together to blow them up, it was hilarious. So was taking on the most powerful base of a region before actually doing the mission to disable the FOW. Especially the 1st one, I was just grappling as bombs fell behind me and they blew their own base up. It was tense and hilarious. Though the FOW didn't stop when I captured the damned thing which was weird. Just doing stupid and fun stuff really. But to each their own I suppose.

It's fun at first but it gets dull. Raiding the large bases is still pretty fun, though.

Honestly i enjoy it. The shooting is sub par, no denying that. But zipping around blowing shit up is pretty fun. I bought the season pass because it's on sale for $10, and you get a rocket booster for the wingsuit, energy weapons, a mech that can wreck bases, and since interesting missions. It's not the greatest game, but not terrible. And once you get some upgrades,you barely have to shoot things
