How did you get your first Gjallarhorn?
With Destiny 2 only a few weeks away, I wanted to take some time to look back at some of the good memories of Destiny 1.
Tell me, where were you when you obtained the mighty Gjallarhorn? What was your reaction?

Gorgons chest I was speechless. But all five of the other members of my group immediately began to hate on me for it. I had over 1000 hours played before I got mine. It felt "earned."

A week after I got Taken King after killing Ir Yut. I even joked with a friend about getting it because it was irrelevant and lo and behold a Gjallarhorn!

Week Two, Xûr sells Gjallarhorn. Says I, "Psh! I'm not stupid! Waste my exotic on a heavy slot? I think not!" It's never dropped for me. Ever.

Prison of elders chest. A couple weeks before Xur sold it the second time.

Post round drop from an Iron Banner match. Reaction? Mild embarrassment. Even though I finished third on the leaderboard, got a couple of less-than-pleased messages about it from other players on the team.

The day that HoW launched. I had been saving up engrams and decrypted them all at the Reef. The last legendary engram I decrypted turned into a Gjallarhorn.

That said my friends are the opposite and I was more interested in messing with them about how I didn't have one and using it anyway without them knowing. I just wanted to see how much I could get away with. In fact I got my second not long after running the Crota raid. Everyone saw it pop up as a reward but they didn't know who. I of course denied getting it until finally lying and admitting that it was my first one. Which I then said hey look at my completely fresh Gjallarhorn rockets. My friends proceeded to not pay any attention to it or the wolf pack rounds flying about. Except for one of them who laughed and said "I saw that." I demanded quite loudly that he be quite and not ruin it in the party. I am easily ignored as you might have guessed. It's the proper response to be honest. Though when I tell them that I had it all along and never used it really silence fell, like it was some crime that I had committed. People are strange.

The first time Xur sold it. No wait!!! I decided that a rocket launcher wasn't worth my small strange coin collection at the time. 🙄 Sure would like to have that moment back. It never would drop for me, but I did buy it the second time Xur sold it. By then, it was a mere shell of the powerful weapon it once was.
