Imagine: For years, a benevolent alien power knew that our planet was going to be invaded by hostile aliens. They aided in the creation of Destiny, supposedly a fun game... but actually a sophisticated training sim for when the invasion comes.
On 9-6-17, when we think Destiny 2 will drop? That's when the invasion arrives.
As a loyal Destiny player, you have been among those chosen to be empowered as a Guardian. But the catch is, your empowerment is not just based of your playstyle and experience, but also your personality. Do you have the loner nature of a hunter? The cerebral nature of a warlock? Or are you Titan-tough?
Note also that you only get one subclass, and it selects you based on who you are. Do you walk in the edge of the darkness, like a Voidwalker? Protect at all cost like a Defender? Or charge into the fray to administer up-close death, like Strikers or Bladedancers?
When the apocalypse comes, and find yourself facing it down with double fistfuls of light... what are you?
EDIT: Just so we're clear, you can be either a D1 or D2 subclass. Since D2 subclasses are newly discovered, they cannot be customized, so you're stuck with blocks of perks (like in the game).

while I see what you are saying here, the classes really do seem to choose the player based on play style etc. Sure, anyone can learn to play the different classes using the strengths and weaknesses of each however, most people will have one or two that really come far more naturally to them.

2 RepliesSounds like the plot of Super Hot. SUPER HOT

Voidwalker hands down. Studying the void to the point at which I learn I can pull myself out of death would be awesome
-
A knuckle dragging gunslinger.
-
Couch Dancer. Definitely Couch Dancer. My favorite exotic would be Universal Remote. I don't think any of the armor would fit me. So, yeah, Couch Dancer.
-
Even though I don't really play it, I'd probably be a Bladedancer. I like knives, sneakiness, and all around lone-wolfery. That being said, there is something about seeing your friends and loved ones being in trouble that triggers a more animal instinct...to Titan Smash like a Striker. I mean, If you can fell the enemy with one mighty punch, wouldn't it really make them think twice?

2 RepliesEdited by Apollyon: 8/9/2017 2:09:47 PMEasy I'd be the little ghost

I'd probably just be sweeper-bot. Doing my own thing while the world burns. Or Rahool and screw people over for my own sick entertainment.
-
1 ReplyHard one but either a Nightstalker Hunter or an Arcstrider Hunter(if D2 subclasses are an option)
-
1 ReplyNow, are you talking classes from both, or just from D1? If just from D1, I'd probably be a Defender that would surprise people with his intelligence and strategical know-how. If from both, then it would be between that and a Sentinel. Either way, I'd be a stalwart shield against the dark.

5 RepliesI'm a Dead Orbit Nightstalker Hunter that flies away when the enemy arrives.

1 ReplySo...we are the Pokemon.

8 RepliesCan I be divergent?

I think that I'd be either a Gunslinger or Nightstalker.
-
Dawnblade Warlock. Aligned with the Vanguard/FOTC....or (vanilla geeks) Seven Seraphim.
-
I would be a sunsinger warlock, because stubborn is definitely a word i would describe sunsingers and myself as.
-
I Spent 3yrs skating on my Titan, it's become so second nature I only spend 50% in the air, Iv tried hunter and warlock but the way a Titan moves is the way I play Destiny
-
4 RepliesThe personality of a bladedancer fits me pretty well plus i prefer to be a lone wolf dont like having other ppl around most time i feel like they hold me back or get in the way in real life and my humor is pretty dry to like the characteristics of the bladedancers i find it facinating and fighting wise i havent been put in that type of situation but id probly go head first into battle

Edited by ClovenTrack620: 8/9/2017 1:16:42 PMwalking in the edge of darkness, drawing power from it to channel its destruction into the materail realm but never allowing it to corrupt you. Always standing between the light and the dark. Ying & Yang, balance at its core, a bridge between 2 worlds

Voidwalker all the way.
-
Then I will pilot the Red Lion

Edited by AxelOfTheLight: 8/9/2017 12:59:39 PMI didn't choose the path of the dawn, rather the dawn chose me. Always been a fan of knights with swords and things involving angels or angelic wings. I was also very book smart oriented in school, so I believe that the warlock dawnblade class and subclass would choose me.

Sounds like we need a sorting hat

I'd probably be a Nightstalker Hunter.

I'd probably be a Warlock of some type. I'm more cerebral and do enjoy learning. I also am a strategists at heart. If I'm am only one subclass, that's a bit tougher. While I like the Voidwalker class best, I don't think the class best represents my personality. I'd probably be a Sunsinger which is my least favorite of the three subclasses.
